The controversy actually has nothing to do with the potential health impact on topically applied skincare products. Instead, it’s all about the human body ― specifically whether or not there are health risks for certain individuals when coming into contact with these substances through ingested products from either consuming food or drinking water. Both the FDA and American Cancer Society have conducted studies in which they've been unable to determine any clear risks when it comes to ingesting small quantities of these cosmetic preservatives but more research is being done to ensure safety. It's so frustrating to see RU-vidrs with huge audiences are wrongfully influencing their opinions and make this even more common in people's minds- it just can't be healthy, will only spread misinformation, and harm more people than help!

First of all, I feel very sorry that I made you do this video under your busy schedule 🙂 I know how busy a doctors life could be that too during this pandemic times. Anyways thanks for making this video 🙏😊 I was only talking about the influencers and general yotubers who are referring this cleanser to people and I dint know that doctors where recommending this at all. Doctors know better what ingredients suits what skin type than any normal people. Some ingredients which seems to be dangerous would still be good for others which only experts can identify. I had to make this video because lots of people were asking me to do this product review. I just had to tell them what is actually used in the product openly without hiding which most influencers are not mentioning and let them choose what they want. I was happy to see u accepted most points which I mentioned like sodium benzoate and pricing are concerned. 😊👍 I too noticed your points regarding phenoxyethanol and I can see in Oily skin cleanser they still have used phenoxyethanol as preservative which was concerning to me so told that as well to Audience openly. I was literally expecting counter videos from influencers but not from Doctors seriously as that was a basically available product in all online stores and easily available to be accessed by any individual and not only doctors. Anyways Thanks for this video and your advice to people once again. 😊

Iam an Paramedical Student ..And I would Strongly say thers nothing called natural wen it comes to products ... If u really want naturals we need to get it frm our kitchen that's the only way...😂Iam using Cetaphil cleanser & Moisturizer since childhood my Dermatologist suggested me ..it has been 7 yrs since then ..My skin is spotless, flawless grt !!

Parabens are the best preservative which could be used in beauty products and if a product doesn’t use parabens then they might be using other cheaper preservatives which could be very very harmful for skin .Also the percentage of ingredients that comes last are 1% . So it’s absolutely safe and this is the cleanser my dermatologist recommended in the UK .

I was using cetaphil for almost 2 years and I have shifted to cleanse me cleanser recently n I love them both! The reason for shifting is I love less ingredient products! And I have no hatred towards paraben,silicones in products dont know why there is so much misinfo! Its okay if misinfo are is among many great content creators but in yt we shd hv to search for gems like u among flooded misinfo providers❤💜 Samapti, maitrayee,archu,rubina,aboli,pooja reviews,skinoreal,sakshi sahwal are few other underrated gems like u!

Eversince I discovered derms having their own channels on youtube I stopped following all other skin care content creators.. I've seen one of shadik azeez's videos and decided never to subscribe to his channel, only for the reason that he definitely wouldn't know anything better than a doctor.

Parabens are not potentially bad for the skin, it's the best preservative out there it can increase the longevity of the products, and I hate essential oils in skincare products . If it's the case of Fragrances it's a complete NO.

This is so helpful video, glad I came across this video. Even I'm doing a beauty blog and always I prefer SLS-free, paraben-free, etc. As we influencer search the information to the extent only. But doctors know the reason for the ingredients deeper than we do. We just want to show people good products which work better for us or not, and also we conclude with every skin type differ so which suits me not suits them. But I love Cetaphil cleanser that is one of my favorite. Your explanation cleared my doubts thanks for letting us know. I know paraben-free, SLS free everything is a marketing strategy but still, now I'm not purchasing products with paraben and sulfate because as normal humans we tend to believe anything wrong in that product. Now you cleared me well.

We should not blindly trust anyone...it is us who knows better than others (neither doctors nor normal people)....everybody will not lie everybody should not get trusted..take every bit of information which is worthy

If there are options where there are products with no sls, paraben and fragrance then it's better to use them. Already we are exposed to so many chemicals and pesticides on a daily basis. So if there is scope to reduce even a bit of that, then that is good.

I think all dermatologist love CETAPHIL. Its a hype created by the brand and the dermats promoting it. Imagine when there were no docs or dermatologist and people just used normal home based products for skin, body and hair cleansing. It worked well for them. More and more people are getting back to basics. High time people realize mother earths produce to look naturally beautiful.

One small update on this... Now the same Cetaphil has removed parabens and SLS labeling 'paraben free' on top now. These companies are fishy always. They merely care about the consumer health and mostly they want their profit.
