@@Kainlarsen They are spreading misinformation the helium cannot be refilled as they said but smiling friends is also way off on the time table as there isn't a definitive amount of time before the earth is out just estimations. The larger problem is that helium is becoming more scarce and we use it in everything from MRI machines to rockets. It has even gotten to the point that research projects are put on hold because of the helium cost. I don't know where the previous commenter imagined that we would get extra helium from but once we are out of helium we are just out. The only hope we would have for more at that point is to harness nuclear fusion which we are well on our way to do.
He's wrong, there is no such thing as "refilling" the Earth's helium supply (that is so goofily upsurd). What is sort of a misconception is the amount of time it'll take to actually DEPLETE the reserves, based on more recent studies than the one they reference in this episode, it''l likely be over a century or longer@@Kainlarsen
