It gives me peace knowing an entire generation of kids collectively share fond, happy memories of the period of our lives when the COD golden age was in full force. For some reason, life during COD4 - BO2 seems to have felt so good retrospectively. Cool to know so many look back at those times with a smile.
i agree with time frame, after bo2 the games didnt feel the same. bo3 was fun but it wasnt the same as the OG games, and the rest were meh. but like you said im glad alot of us share the same memories and fun times on CoD back in the day. nowadays the games are more stressful than fun tbh
My mom passed away a few months ago and the time this video was posted I would always watch scumpii so heavily that my mom would come home from work saying yo yo yo it’s your boy optic scumpii. Made me smile so much. It still does til this day and although times have changed the love and memories will never go away. Thanks for years of memories
I probably watch that shit like once a year. At the beginning, he talks about not knowing another video that tops this one, but the M8 video on the island/cove map, was even better than this one.
I rarely play nowadays, but am still far above average due to how much I played when I was younger. I'll try and play a few times every couple months, but can never get into it because the lobbies are full of dudes with 2+ kds and I have to try my ass off every single game to even go positive. Wish they'd go back, I'm not buying the next cod due to sbmm.
Not really, you don't remember pubstomp lobbies and 6 mans groups in snd? It was definitely a better game than Coldwar but still just as sweaty. Coldwar is just a harder game.
@@mimsy5750 bro I completely agree with you. Nowadays you gotta play 24/7 to keep your skills up. I miss the days after school being able to just play for fun. It’s almost like video games aren’t “for fun” anymore
I remember watching this the day it dropped. It blew my mind that someone could do this. And here I am years later still amazed that this was possible. I sincerely miss the old days with Scump and the whole optic team and the optic scuf house. Good times.
Watching Scump in that 2011-2014 era reminds me of this beautiful quote : “I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.” - Andy Bernard Those truly were the golden days of CoD ❤️
This was pretty motivating to watch, Scump continued to grind in both the competitive and content scene and that got him to where he is today. I remember when the original vid came out as well, just goes to show how quickly time flies and where consistent work gets you. Much respect Scump.
All the new cod fans/players finally get to watch this masterpiece and hopefully feel the same way a lot of us did when we were 11-12. The nostalgia is insane
@@SAINTxSZN yes but it was actually fun to play against them sometimes. Thats the key: back then it was completely random what type of lobby you got and that made it fun
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I was coming out of school when this came out. Shit was tough, my life was a mess. The girl I wanted to be with didn’t want to be with me. Life was crumbling down all around I felt like I had nowhere to go. I was too young to drive, too broke to run away. My only escape was watching cod videos. Scump, the ascendency of optic, meeting and playing cod with people until 3am with your mum banging on your door telling you to go to bed, these all helped me get through those shit times. I look back now and I’m thankful for these memories because it’s made me who I am today. It’s great to see how far you’ve come, Sethy. To anyone else that can relate, I hope you’re in a better place like I am now. If you’re not, keep grinding, stay as positive as you can and it’ll get better. Love you all
@@dougsburner5897 he literally went 88-0 could’ve went like 110+ maybe if the lobby stayed together 😭 and got hurt 2 times lol he was more worried abt his swarm killing him than the other team
These were the days. I remember all of these black ops 2 uploads. The KSG video on Hijacked. The competitive game on hard point Hijacked, it came down to the last hill, last second and you guys won.
If your a cod player today, you know this video. Absolute classic and never gets old. Always seems to show up in the feed around Christmas time too.. hmmmm coincidence Thanks for the trip down memory lane
Everytime I watch Scump no matter if it’s I’m bo2 days or present days it still makes me want to grind cod I miss them bo2 days tho smh the M8 and MSMC were so goated
Its Something About Scump Smiling At His Younger Self That Sparks The Happiness In Me 🤣 I’ve Watched This Video So Many Times Its CRAZY . Ya love to see it folks ❤️
To me, it feels crazy how much Scump has matured and changed since THIS video dropped! Only been a year or two, but he so seems so much more of a better version of himself now in 2023! The development is 🔥
I'm actually crying man, i miss those times, these videos, black ops 2... what a time it was. We can be proud that we were part of this boys. God bless you all
This should be a mandatory video to watch if your going to get serious in cod. I remember watching scump back then and that was the only reason I started doing GB’s.
The thing i love about bo2 was the camos/zombies/dlcs/community/sniping/ bro the game was either ahead of its time or the community was just that wholesome. The newer CODs just feels like you have to sweat to enjoy the game. I understand sbbm but its like playing a game you are trying to play on normal mode but the only difficulty to select is hard mode.
@@Brn934 I knew there would be someone like you that had something to say. I used to use RU-vid without an account by just using the web browser back then. Plus that has nothing to do with the fact I could have played bo2 without a RU-vid account??!!
I remember watching this video back in the day, such a crazy gameplay. Have always been a fan Scumpii keep showing people why you are known as the king of cod 🙌
really loved the intro and the transparency. You're insane and would rather just watch you do your thing, whatever it is. Love the reaction content too, hope to see it some more!
This is something I've been thinking about for a while now. I'm a huge CoD fan... have been since Black Ops 1. I know the glory days may have been around this BO2 era, and there are so many nostalgic memories. But it seems like the constant "remember when" in Call of Duty has tainted the memories of the current state of the game. Despite the problems in the game (and trust me, there are plenty), there is still a lot of fun to be had. I am sure that in 10 years time from now we will look back and think, "Remember when Warzone came out? Man that shit was fun." Just my thoughts. Love this type of video. I was definitely at least 10 of the millions of views on the original video
No. Skill based matchmaking killed it all. Just like scump said, you can’t get matches like you see in this video anymore. You can’t get content like this anymore because if your playing at an elite level, you get elite level contenders. It’s not fun or enjoyable. Back in the day you could sit in the same lobbies and shit talk and maybe even gain some friendships from it because you build connections in those lobbies and it’s much more personal than it is now.
So i dont really comment often.. but if you read this Scumpii.. i want you to know i cried watching this. this game was my everything when it was still around and the nostalgia i felt watching this video was unreal.. thanks for making my night man :) keep up the amazing work 💯
I remember watching this in my dorm room and then hopping on to my 360 to play some BO2 back when it was in its heyday still. Good times... crazy to think how much has happened since then
I remember being a senior in high school in 2013 and my buddy showed me sweatbannin and I was like wtf. I didn't know anyone could be that good at clicking the sticks
You've matured, which was bound to happen and should have and did. You're still funny and I think if anyone says "you've changed" with a negative connotation to it then that means they're immature.
fun fact: I was 11 when this video came out and I always thought it said “sweet banana” instead of “sweatbannin” and i was confused for years until i went back and rewatched the vid. lol
Watching your own old videos and seeing how much you’ve changed had to be an amazing feelin. Lol we love you scump. You made our childhoods awesome. 🔥🔥💯
I remember watching the sweat bannin video when you dropped it! Ever since then I use the term “Sweat bannin” every time the homies and I are going off
i remember watchin this after school then jumping right on after with the old squad, Now we all have our own kids and don't speak as much. Cherish these days
