i like how sweden always do good but people want us to send different songs, but like she said we really take melodifestivalen (eurovision) seriously so we vote for the songs we really like not for the ones that are different from last years. Melodifestivalen (eurovision) is the most watched show in sweden every year. So please stop hating on us cuz we send quality songs to a music competition, yes most of the recent years they are the same genre but u cant say benjamin and john had that similar songs, many countrys send similar songs every year but we get most of the hate cuz we always do good. Also Sweden is a country that produce very good music in general. The music we produce and listen to and like is what we vote on so why do we get hate for that.
They and Dotter had the same amount of points with the juries and with the televote the mamas got 72 points and Dotter 71. So they won by only one point.
I agree it's too similar to what we had last year not only genre-wise but it's literally the same artists lol. Fortunately the average Eurovision viewer probably won't remember what Sweden sent last year so that might help but I would've preferred Dotter or Anna.
As a swede; I want good results but not a win because hosting is such an expense. I do think the story of these women are amazing though - they were John’s backup-singers last year.
Angelina I love a good win but I don’t like them using our money to pay for the party (so to speak). If they could do it without using the tax payers money I’d been down for winning every year.
I agree, we can win in 10 years. It´s enough for now. :) We need money for other things. I hope Bulgaria or Iceland will win because they have never won before.
EARTH IS A TRIANGLE Well...no...but i think that if you have competition in the WHOLE europe...come on..you want to win and i don’t think my dear country will win this year..but like i said..not a bad song..maybe it will surprise me.
@@johannakrantz8795 Dotter wasn't going to win either, yes her song was solid and she had vocals and she's clearly talented but there's tough competetion this year.
I was sooo sad when the Mamas won and not Dotter. I voted for dotter 20 times (not kidding) and she lost with 1 single point😭 please react to dotters song bulletproof❤️
If it will win or not? This Swedish entry is (as always) very strong in all aspects: Music, Lyrics, arrangement, chorus, voices and performance and has that "hook" that is needed in a competition like this. To tell if it will win is a complete another question? Having in mind that majority of the voters are younger females, it is more likely a male singer will win again, it is not about the quality of the song alone in Eurovision Song Contest.
i love our entry, it was my winner from the beginning even though it’s obviously very similar to last year. i’m just happy we’re FINALLY sending some women, we haven’t done that since 2014 🤯
"with Swedish ethic vibes" Sweden is the worlds largest producer of modern pop, EDM and dance music. This is what's popular in Sweden. We sure as hell are not going to send some nyckelharp playing folk song.
You mentioned the audience and that we swede takes things seriously, the final is held in our biggest arena. For this final there where 27 000 people in the audience and the finals is viewed by around 2.5 - 3 millions every year. (That’s more then a forth of our entire population) 😝 I love the spring time and 👏 and Melodifestivalen/ Eurovision era
Hey, we didn't expect them to win Melodifestivalen. The odds said that Dotter would win with like odds of 51%. I like this song, it wasn't the one I voted for but I don't mind them going to ESC. You should have seen how happy they were. The one with red hair cried so much she almost couldn't sing again.
I hoped for Dotter, but since many children are voting with the app, it's understanding that this song won over Bulletproof, which is not a typical that many children like.
eveslifestyle Mohombi was also my favourite this year :) i was very surprised that he didn’t get more points than he got and also none of my friends seemed to like his song very much either. I think we got enough gospel in last years song that it would have been better to send a song in a different genre to Eurovision this year.
I agree with you about the style of the song being the same as John Lundvik’s song last year, my personal favourite was Mohombi’s song but he didn’t get in a good place sadly, i also liked Dotter very much but she lost by 1 point to The Mamas which is a pity as i would have liked to send a song that is very different from last years, i feel that we may not have a chance of winning this year due to the song not being different enough. It’s definetly not a bad song but it just wasn’t one of my favourites, they do have epic voices though
They are 3 lighters) The song is too Swedish style, it is embarrassing. I want something like that. Winners, I don’t think. Rather, a strong place at 10.
Don’t mind me Sometimes i get tired of the wrong songs winning in my opinion. I think the year i was most pleased was when we sent Måns Zelmerlöw with the song Heroes because it was without a doubt the best song that year to send to Eurovision
@Noosh101 I agree, but to say its similar is an understatement. It's the exact same. Those three women are the same three backup singers that stood behind John last year. I'm bored out of my mind hearing this song. Dotter/bulletproof should have won in my opinion. Well. At least they're great singers. Nothing to be ashamed about, but I think they're done after the semifinal. + you are great Noosh! I always watch your videos! 😊
maansteenz Agreed, that’s why i wanted Dotter to win because she had a song that is different in style to many of the songs we have sent in the past, also we got enough gospel last year when they sang with John Lundvik. So something totally different this year would have been nice but oh well...... to be honest John Lundvik wasn’t my favourite last year either to be sent to Eurovision.
Dotter has a similar Sia-esque song that Montaigne presents this year, so I am not mad. Something totally different for Sweden is Drangarna or Anis Don Demina, but not Dotter in the slightest.
