I think it just gave too much away of the previous relationship, which she never mentioned it or seemed to want to acknowledge. I feel like she changed it just to be more able to relate without being too specific, keeping the same idea that the relationship wasn’t great anymore but also saving her privacy. Because she’s afraid of the media and the fans going too deep on stuff and I think this is personally one relationship she just wants to forget. “I haven’t seen him in a couple of months” makes it more serious and important than “he is in the club doing I don’t know what” that only sounds as if she said it for fun. In the making of This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, Taylor jokes "Dead-Tooth and Antonoff Productions", "Dead-Tooth" is Jack's nickname for Taylor because apparently she has a dead tooth from chipping it on a mic. Also the guy who came up with the melody for the pre-chorus of King Of My Heart was Shellback (real name Johann Schuster) who works as Max Martin's right hand man when they work produce songs for Taylor. Shellback started out as a drummer in a metal band and came up with Shake It Off's iconic drum beat that you heat from the start the song.

On King of My Heart, she worked with both Max Martin and Shellback. You can check each record's track list on Wiki for who did what. They both also worked on 1989, and three songs on Red (IKYWT, 22, and WANGBT). I think in the video clip you saw Shellback. Martin is the heavier person, if you see both. Both are Swedish. I like that she starts the songs at home then goes to the studio to refine/finish the songs. She doesn't sit in the studio all day writing then record. One of Taylor's best friends was Lena Dunham. Jack was her boyfriend. Taylor's hung out with them for years. She wrote one of her songs about their love. I can't remember remember which one. One-day Jack was saying how no one wanted to work with him as a producer except his own two bands. No one would even give him a chance. Taylor pipes in with you can produce with me. The rest is history. She encouraged her friends Lorde and Lana del Ray to work with him too. They both did. Lena and Jack broke up after years together. Most people think the have to pick a side. Not Taylor, when Lena and Jack got married to other people years later Taylor was in both of their weddings. That says a lot about Taylor's character. Taylor has been co producing some of her songs for years. She has her own production company. She gets so much hate for no reason. If someone doesn't like her music that's fine but they should respect her talent.

Honestly sometimes I sing the original words to it from in the video.
