7:00 "Look I don't know jack about programming" 8:40 "But just not practical for development" That second statement seems bold considering the first one... 😆I can see that being a very practical setup for certain situations. Having the option to leave certain information always visible can be a massive time saver over the course of a day by removing the need to swap between workspaces. Even if you're using a TWM it's going to save a ton of keystrokes over the course of the day, reducing the workload on your fingers. (of course using an ergonomic keyboard rather than a standard row staggered board would be even more beneficial for that) Running all those monitors from a single laptop doesn't seem like the ideal setup however...
MKBHD's PC is sick!!! What are you talking about? I get it wasn't the whole set up with wires ran behind the wall and a decorative wall but I think he was just showing off the PC which looked like it was one major pain in the butt to water cool with all those tiny pieces of hard line and fittings
@@gilbertley1309 No I knew that, whats that got to do with it? Someone still hand built it! Falcon Northwest are Prebuilt also and doesn't mean they are not sick also
The desk for the programmer is actually quite practical. The two monitors at The top I'll use for monitoring stats I don't use often but I want it to always be on display. The two at the middle at both sides I can use for references, folders, browsers, Spotify, so many options. The bottom two I can use for command lines maybe one for interacting with my server and the other for interacting with the project I'm working on, on the huge middle monitor. As for not having a desk. I don't mind leaning to pickup my coffee/water. In fact I'll have it on a while separate place so I'll be forced to stand and go get it as I can code for 8 hours straight with my keyboard on my lap. Another bonus use is I can also have a screen dedicated to ChatGPT. It's super practical for me. I just wish I could afford it😂
I think the speakers in the room at 6:30 are actually because it is intended for just listening to music. Not totally sure, but it would make sense to me given the placement of the headphones and iPhone docked there, as well.
Maybe you don't feel the 2003 Setup because you have not been into this stuff back in that days? Dual CRTs and watercooling with green tubes were the Ultrawides and RGBs of that time! 😀 Nobody cared about cable mangement since you carried the hole stuff to the next best LAN party every weekend anyways
The coding setup is perfect because you don't want a drink sitting somewhere you can knock it over when you're coding for long periods of time plus the reason for no desk is he can recline is his chair which is to help him not have back pain during those sessions
These setups must be too godly for me to see, because trying to watch the video crashed my computer, lol. When Ed started going, "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I knew something was up.
I could be mistaken but my local medieval weapons dealer has straw panels like this one in stock for blade testing. Apparently the guys from the Japanese katana sub culture need them. Buying slaves for katana testing is a bit too expensive lately (rather surprising given the current slave wages salaries rampant in the Gig-Economy. Maybe offering a few Starbucks vouchers on top?). So they apparently resort to this tameshigiri panels due to a lack of volunteers. Can't tell you for sure though. I am a bit more of a Roman gladius girl. I once considered buying one for my pets as they are dirty cheap and quite versatile.
8:20 threw me into a rage. Unless that MSI laptop has a 400W power brick, 32GB RAM, and a full fat 4090, response times are going to be GARBAGE as soon as you have one chrome tab open per monitor.
Desk setup monitor uses for desk at 7:30 (or at least I would see as the use as a programmer) Top left: message/chat for work or communication Middle left: directories for files Bottom left: Documentation for the code base I might be working on Main screen: main code files/IDE Top right: RU-vid so I don't die Middle right: extra screen for more code in case I have other files I want to edit Bottom right: either more code or a terminal/CMD to run code on I can see the use and not having a desk would be kind of rough and I don't want that small mouse pad but otherwise I can really see how it would be used.
i need help od idea of my new setup , room size is 6m x 4m x3m x1m x3m x 3m , and screen 85 inch + 48 inch screen for ssecerity camera + full computer setup screen 26 inch monitor , what is the best orginize them ?
3:30 I challenge you to make a good setup with only objects before the year 2005. To include everything, from the PC to the desk, decorations, peripherals, chair, etc.
Still having issues with the mousepad order I placed on 1/5/2023. I alerted your team 11 days ago that I only received two out of the three mousepads I ordered and their response has just been, "Oh we'll chase down our supplier." and then nothing.
Hey tech source, Ik you know a lot about pc specs and stuff so I’m asking you this. So I’ve been looking for specs to make a good pc. The specs are a 4070 ti, 32 gigs of ram, amd ryzen 9, a Corsair rm 1000x, a Corsair icue 4000x case, 1 tb of storage, 2 lian li uni fans, nzxt n7 b550 motherboard, and a coarsair h 150 i. So these are the specs. Can you tell me if these are good, like a rate out of ten. And if I should add or change anything. Thank you
Any idea what HDMI adaptors he's using in the laptop 7 screen setup? I have a laptop and multiple screens, but everything I've come across that lets me use the other screens is bollocks lol. My laptop only has a single HDMi Port
