the whole bass gang is crasy with their ranges I'll give them that but Elliott Robinson is even more crasy with his chest voice (he can hit C#1) in chest voice, love the reactions btw 😄(sorry if my english is bad )😅
@@timberwolf5422 You might try to find out by watching some of his videos (channel name "Elliott Michael"). E.g., in his cover of Shape Of You, you can watch him singing that freakish low note twice. But you can also learn another recipe of training the lower end of your voice that, at first glance, seems counterintuitive.
Mortius did a collab with Tomi to react to this release as well. Tomi gave lots of insight into the arrangement, plus a lot of funny moments between the two of them!
As others probably have already said, that undertone thing under Bobby was Elliott who surprised all and did an octave lower than Bobby in chest! Awesome.
I counted 7 pauses, 1 pen throw, and 1 walk off...I laughed so hard when you raised your hands and backed up in your chair as if that would protect you from what you were hearing !! Your reactions always make me so happy!
I love Tears for Fears, I love the Donnie Darko movie for which the original version was re-made to the Mad world we know. Tomi did veeery well with the arrangement - he included the movie’s gist, madness of the world…omg, such a piece of art must not go unnoticed. Good you’re collabing with the guys and spreading their work!! Very natural, funny reaction. Goood on you Kaaaz😉👍🏻
This was awesome Kaz! I got my notification late about the premiere. So cool that The Bass Gang reached out about doing a collaboration with you doing reactions to their Volume II this year. I'm so looking forward to the other 3 videos Kaz!
I laughed out loud when you paused 11 seconds in... commenting about how low Tomi's note was. Given that I had seen this video already, I knew you weren't ready for what was in store for you LOL. I can't wait to see your mind explode towards the end
I was totally prepared to be gobsmacked by TBG’s crazy low notes, but then they bring Elliott Robinson, who I’d never heard before, and he busts out a C1-IN CHEST. iN ChEsT!!!!😵💫 AND he has that lovely, velvety timbre. And THEN the boys in TBG do awesome things, like really freaking LONG passages in one breath, and those dragon calls. Peter really brought it, so did Tomi and Bobby. They’re all so good. And did you notice a new resonance in Marwan’s voice? He’s gone from being a teenager to being an adult man in these few months since their last releases, and his voice has filled out some, too. Really lovely. Great reaction! Glad you’re going to be reacting to all their songs. Their lineup of featured guests has me pretty excited.
I highly recommend Jonathan Young's cover of "What Could Have Been" also from Arcane. This song honestly hits pretty hard if your familiar with the show and where the song is placed in it.
Hey Kaz, love your reaction to this..... Mortius did a reaction/analysis of this earlier in collab with Tomi P.....I would highly recommend you check that out. It was very informative on how this was produced....Tomi gave some great insight....
Was really fun watching along with you Kaz.. Great reaction. I'm pretty sure Tomi's note was a C1 at the end or at least it sounded like a C1 (32 hz) And apparently it's very unusual for someone who is still in school to hit but I can do it briefly on a good day but can easily sing an E1 sub ... somehow 😂😂
Tomi is actually featured in a reaction to the video on Mortius’ channel and talks about who hits what low notes. I can’t remember who he said hits what, but I know he does.
Fair enough. From hearing what Peter Barber, Tomi P, Tim Foust, Geoff Castellucia and others have talked about regarding bass notes that makes sense. I haven’t done anything musically since highschool (yikes, been 13 years since I graduated. I’m not that old, but dang that makes me feel like it lol) any most of it was in concert/jazz band and very little was vocal, so I don’t know where I would be placed voice wise, but I do know that I’m not a bass lol. At one point my at the time girlfriend’s voice coach told me if I trained I had the potential to have counter tenor range, but I’m not sure I ever believed that knowing that I struggle to match some of the high notes that Austin (Home Free) and Eli (Voiceplay) can hit without flipping to falsetto, but I certainly can’t match any of these bassy notes without growling. And I haven’t learned anything regarding how to do Subharmonics myself, though I’ve been curious about doing so for some time.
You look exactly the way I was when I first watched this. wide eyes, completely shocked and mumbling "oh my god" to myself over and over again.... Love your reaction!!
Fantastic!! I think (but am not sure) that the super-low growly notes were from Elliott, not Tomi or Bobby. The timbre was different. Wonderful reaction!
@@N9TheNoob Yes! Just watched Peter Barber's inside analysis. I first thought it was a subharmonic or second sub, but Peter says that Elliott doesn't use subs because he can get way down in the first octave in his chest voice! Amazing!!
first of all I genuinely think you would have died of a heart attack or something if you watched this video for the first time all the way through without pausing it or at least that's the way it looked by the way you were reacting and second of all not only is this such a good video like you said but on top of that it's even better once you realize that they recorded these separately in their own countries all separately from each other and then had them edited together and the fact that they all harmonize and line up so well even though they're recording separately from each other just shows how much their talent is on another level
*BTW that note was sung by all of them and they sung a C1 and Elliot (the one with the long hair) did a chest not with that which is SO INSANE and Tomi did it with a Sub and Marlin did it with a sub also all other members did it with Chest Fry. You're welcome 😉 😜
I watched it when it dropped, and then I saw that you were going to be reacting to it. I knew you were going to be losing it many time during it, and yup... you did. 😁
The one w the braids singing w them is the guy that was in the tan/brownish shirt who had the solo in The Wellerman collab video u reacted to w Sarah and u liked his voice Peter Barber knows his name caus when has a reaction video to the same video
Hi Kaz, since you're a big fan of Mad World I think you'd like to react to Postmodern jukebox ft. Puddles Pity party and Haley Reinhart version . Thanks for this reaction and I agree, the bassline is insane.
ima be honest, i used to get a sort of cringe feeling bfore whn i saw people reacting to videos but ever since i saw you i became an instant fan, i love youre reactions, hopefully one day you react to one of my songs when i become famous lolll
@@KazandraBrock I didn't even think you would reply ,kinda got a little blush over here lol , anyways much love straight from Puerto rico, looking forward to some day seeing you react to one of my songs . That is whenever I get the courage to make a video .
Just wanna say, you better not posting reaction videos before the actual song is officially on RU-vid. (I found this video in the "REACTION TIME" playlist).
@@KazandraBrock unlisted videos act as public videos when watched in playlists. You'll have to private a video or not put it on the playlist at all lol.
