Hi guys. Yes, the thing on the person’s arm that looks like it’s from a horror movie is a worm. A “Proboscis Worm,” to be exact. It’s an ocean worm that uses that white root-like structure, its proboscis, as a net to trap prey. In this case, it probably sees the human as a predator, and is trying to deter them so it can escape.
The girl that got woken up with the horn sound was back home from basic military training, and if I recall correctly it was her dad or brother that played the prank
Yay video! Best way to brighten up the day. Also, I googled. It's a ribbon worm. Spits out it's proboscis when it feels threatened and stabs the prey with toxins. Well hopefully the person with the worm is ok.
Awesome...would love a Part 2...as for the 2nd video....that is why you never say the 'Q' word....ask ANY Emergency Responder...lol. Love you two, from Olympia, WA.
I loved this video I was absolutely dying with laughter watching this your reactions are just the best appreciate you both so much literally my favourite couple in the world happy new year x
The weird white branched thing is a ribbon worm. Lots of videos of them. Apparently that particular variety is harmless and commonly kept as pets, but there are others that can grow over 100 feet long.
Yes! More hijinks with the lovely and hilarious couple Hailee and Kendra! Top tier reaction content, you two are so incredibly funny! That was a ribbon worm, Nemertea, it shot out it's proboscis out over that arm. The cat bringing mice are trying to give gifts and show their prowess in it's ways, but they're intelligent and will stop doing it if you react clearly enough. They won't stop due to instincts, but they'll "store" them elsewhere. A neighbor had this issue, but after 3 attempts while being met with shouting and sent out, the cat got the hint. When the owner moved their upside down boat in the open garage, they saw the cat's storage place. There was 20+ mice and other prey layed out in lines seemingly according to size and type, so the cat had some organizational skills too. Please do more like this, perhaps reacting to gaming senior citizens too? Thank you both Hailee and Kendra for all the fun in 2023, you two are absolutely amazing people, wish you both all the best in the new year 2024!
13:00 - it's a type of ribbon worm. I think it was actually in distress because a scientist that studies ribbon worms and witnessed similar behaviour said the worm was expelling its proboscis (the branching bit) in an effort to leave something behind for what it perceives as a predator so it can escape.
The drink one happens when the glass gets old basically. Its the constant use and dishwashing being done in a restaurant. Also, going from hot to cold quickly, which happens on busy nights when you grab glasses just out of the dishwasher to get a drink for your table, weakens them as well. My job now I've found a couple in the dish rack so luckily they never made it to a table.
This. Had that exact thing happen to a friend with his glass of cola. Dropped right over his book that he had been reading while we waited for our meals.
Hey! So that big red wrom you saw is a Ribbon worm and the white thing that shoots out of the worm is its proboscis, the appendage it uses to eat. Seriously, that growing rootlike structure that's vomited out is designed to drag food inside. Crab, fish, snails, other worms - anything will do (depending on the type and size of the ribbon worm we are talking about)
When I was a teenager (many years ago), my 1st job was at an Arby's restaurant. We were told we were to bring in our own drinking vessels so we didn't wipe out the stock of cups. I brought in a 7-up glass, which was shaped upside-down as part of their ongoing promotion of being different than the norm (the "Un-cola"). I went to put root beer in it to drink and the bottom just dropped off. Apparently the glass only would let 7-up rest inside. Anything else was an invader!!
Hey hailee and Kendra, thank you so much for bringing so much happiness to my life, I’ve been going through a lot and I recently just came out as bi, you’re videos have shown me that it’s okay to come out and embrace who I’am, thank you guys again so much for the happiness you bring
Hey❤ Maybe the Guy talking about wild animal facts are Casual Geografic, alsp formerly known as Hood Nature. I also think he has covered that worm thing, but I don't remember what it is😅
Love watching you too. I like all the videos that you do. But my favorites are the challenges and reactions videos. Keep up the great work and making people smile and laugh.
@Hailee and Kendra Depending on whether it was a male or female, a sea lion can weigh up to 300kg (male) or 220kg (female). If it was a Stellar Sea lion, which is the largest, it can weigh up to 1000kg.
Hi, Girls. There are no known real-world worms that have a network of vessels for a tongue and can shoot them out to attach to humans. However, there is a real-world worm that might be inspiring this creepy critter: The Nemertea, also known as ribbon worms or proboscis worms. These worms have a long, thin, muscular structure they can shoot out of their mouth to catch prey or defend themselves. This isn't quite a network of vessels, but it's the closest thing real worms have to a projectile tongue. Of course, this worm wouldn't be able to attach to a human arm. However, the idea of a worm with a grappling tongue is certainly interesting!
When Kendra shouted “LURNER” I started laughing so hard I remember that and the sleep thing to real don’t mess with me when sleeping lol 😂 ALSO I am with Kendra on the worm thing I had shivers down my spin I screamed ew!
Yeah, we have 4 cats. Karen, Marble, Bagram, and the only male, Felix. Marble brought a live mouse in the house over the summer. Felix brought in a dead rat and a dead mole. Karen brought in a flying squirl, dead, of course. CC said, hello and "Happy New Year." I'm having trouble with my daughter. She has really low self esteem. I'm not sure if her being gay has anything to do with it or not. She stopped coming to me for our talks. Any advice I'd be really appreciative. Anyway, I know you are busy. Take care. Love you both.
Having low self esteem is something a lot of humans experience, no matter their gender or sexuality. The only advice we can offer, is to give her the chance to see a therapist. We all wish to help the ones we love through their struggles, but sometimes offering professional help it’s the best thing to do 😊 Happy New Year!
@HaileeandKendra well I sure thank you ladies. Yeah. I found her a therapist that she's comfortable with. I don't know if she has opened up to her yet but the way she talks about her , I'm sure she will eventually. Thanks again . I really enjoy your content. I have fallen out of my chair laughing at you two. Take care of each other. Hell, I already know you do that.
1:21 ER worker would probably say quite high, apparently it's an extremely common superstition in emergency fields because so many works have experienced someone saying it's quite and then suddenly having the rest of the day be insane
These ribbon worms contained toxins with extremely strong paralytic activity. The maximum toxicity in terms of tetrodotoxin (TTX) was 25,590 mouse units (MU) per gram for the whole worm throughout the monitoring period. The main toxic component was isolated and recrystallized from an acidified methanolic solution.
probably already been said or you guys already know, but when a cat brings you things like that (dead mice and such) they are saying that they love you and accept you as their mummies
Lmfao now I shout, "THE LUNAR MECLIPSE!" at my partner all the time now, and its a hilarious inside joke, but people who see us must think I'm genuinely insane.
That looked like a variety of ribbon or proboscis worm, and the white appendage was its tongue, which it spreads out like that to catch food. While such worms can potentially contain (and use) venoms, such as tretrodotoxin, it should be safe for the person handling it, unless they lick their hand afterwards, or have open wounds.
12:05 - I don't recall what that is, but I vaguely recall seeing a video with that or something similar in it. Probably on Casual Geographic's channel.
Just bingeing your vids and with the mouse situation, 2:39 we had mice attracted to our cat's food, we put it in plastic containers after we found a mouse dead in the bag, soo food for thought if that is a similar situation for ya hahaha haven't had any since🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I have two cats and they regularly bring in dead mice and leave them outside my bedroom, so fun to wake up in the morning to see half a dead mouse on the floor first thing lol.
“I hope the deer is ok.” Did y’all see the little kid in Blue by the window get absolutely wrecked? No one ever does lol. His chair gets wiped out and goes right into the window sill/wall.
That Reveille prank is pretty common, especially if the person being pranked has served in the military. (It's even a running gag in movies sometimes!)
I´ve had one of the worst days in a LOOOONG time, and instantly when I saw this video, my mood brightened so mucn. Thank you for being such amazing people🥰 0:57 Been there, and it´s beyond scary!
Drink was a monitor. Glass was probably cracked by a bartender while mashing mint. Also, bartenders hate making monitors, and they sometimes get aggressive about it.
Ok so I have too say this but Ive been so insecure about my smile and teeth because my K9s look just like Kendras. I thought I was the only one with these weird ass looking teeth. So in pictures I smile with lips not teeth. But I wanna say since watching yall, yall enjoying life and not caring what people think has helped me move past my insecurites. So Thank yall
I’ve had the same thing happen with a Sonic slushie btw but it was straight out of the person who brings you your food. They literally handed me a leaking cup lol. The bottom was cracked. I got a second cup and they refunded my meal.
