I remember watching The City and being like “IDK it’s kinda boring” and now I realize it’s because Whit was too level headed for my 17yr old brain that was used to The Real World drama.
You really dont remember these times... Olivia was such a petty, insecure B, however watching back now some of her advice to you was mature. Jay was playing you... although I am sure he liked you a bit, I think he liked the opportunities you provided more, such as being on the show and plotting to have this apartment for himself. You handled yourself so well at this age and I am glad you married Timmy and not one of these douche bags.
These videos are so genuine and oddly cathartic! Lol Laguna Beach, The Hills and and The City literally shaped my teenage years. I love these videos. So nostalgic, also reminds me of the emotional space i was in at that time also in my early 20s. Your process in reflecting back is both humorous and light as well as thought provoking for me, the drama of a 20yo.
Jay looks like Heidi. I remember that I thought this back in the day, when these episodes originally aired. His mouth and the way he talks always made me think that and seeing this again all these years later, my opinion hasn't changed lol

You're incredibly lucky to have this footage as your own person archive and to witness real life events unfold again like a time capsule. Also big shout out to Timmy! When I watched the City when it aired on MTV back in 2009-2010 I always wondered what your thoughts and feelings were about certain aired moments... and now 10 years later it's happening! Thnx Whitney, it's fun reliving this awesome show with you =)
