I really Enjoyed my experience with halo wars 2 for the first time! It's such a beloved series by so many people and I cant wait to get intro the RTS gameplay
I thought it would be fun to show off my reaction to all the cutscenes of the game!
Halo Wars 2 is a real-time strategy video game developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly. It was published by Microsoft Studios and released in February 2017 on Windows and Xbox One. The game is set in the science fiction universe of the Halo franchise in 2559. It is a sequel to Halo Wars.
Halo is an American military science fiction media franchise managed and developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. The franchise and its early main instalments were originally developed by Bungie.

Eh, I don't like their tendency to complete job the Covenant forces to make the Spartans look good. The Elites in HW fought like complete morons despite supposedly being Honor Guard. And here they had Jerome effortlessly take out dozens of Elites and Brutes alone.

Halo wars 2 was such a comeback from Halo 5, introducing the Banished that is run by brutes is so much better than Jul's Covenant faction. Atriox is such a smart Brute, surviving multiple battles changed his mind on the "Great Journey", which led to him revolting and surviving.

I do kinda like the backstory for Jul, if you ever read the Karen Travis books. He's a much more interesting and complex character, who went from fairly straight-shot Elite looking for a place without making peace with the humans, to one who learned to manipulate both humans and other Sangheili to suit his needs and (to a degree) actually understanding the different 'shades of grey' in the post-war galaxy. The games really did him dirty, though I will admit Atriox and the banished are probably better villains and a more interesting faction.

Red Team is still in their early 20s thanks to being in cryo all those years. Imagine when we one day get the reunion between them and the Master Chief and the other surviving Spartans.

Spartan 2s already age slower due to their augmentations and constant cellular repair/ regeneration. Add in cryo, they didn't age at all. See the channel Installation 00. He gives a VERY in depth analysis on Spartan 2 augmentation, armor, etc. Makes you appreciate just how dangerous Atriox is

Blur absolutely *Killed* it on the Cutscenes, in the best way possible The Mjonlir MK.IV (The armour that Red Team wore) never looked so Beautiful, Jerome #092 is my most favourite Spartan. That "We won't be running anywhere speech" is so masterfully delivered, the music and the conviction gives me chills everytime. I would hope for a Halo Wars 3 or some continuation of this story, Every voice actor did a Spectacular in this!

We already do, there are books set post Cortana Takes Over (The "Created" War), which deal with how Atriox got back into the Milky Way considering he kinda lost his only long range ship, and the Ark sure as shit doesn't have any handy to steal (Except the Forerunner Dreadnought that sat in High Charity that Truth took to Earth to activate the Portal at Voi, and then left on the surface of the Ark, turns out, that is STILL there, and even has most of its crew still sitting around until Atriox raids it for supplies, so, Banished Vs Covenant Remnants Vs the Spirit of Fire, but its not explained WHY that Keyship hasn't left, because it sure as hell had a functional Forerunner Slipspace drive in Halo 2...), and why Escharum is the big baddy in Infinite. Also hints strongly were The Weapon came from; its another Smart AI scanned from Dr Halsey's cloned brains, just like Cortana was (Yes, amongst her MANY ethically bankrupt decisions she cloned herself and had them force matured to a adult stage, then harvested their brains and scanned them to make AI), and she left a few on Reach when it fell, who then have to be retrieved, whilst the Banished show up to use the Forerunner portal complex buried under a ONI base so Atriox can return home. Still doesn't explain why we hear Atriox being talked about as if he is dead in the gameplay in Infinite, but I suspect since Chief was floating in space in cryo for 6 months after Atriox kicks his ass and tosses him out the hanger deck of the Infinity, that either Atriox never made it off the Infinity (Since Zeta is missing a huge chunk, could mean that Lasky rammed her into the ring to deny Atriox both the ship and Zeta), or went missing in a conflict with the Created.

I have always said that the cinematics of this game are the best in the entire saga, Blur Studios honestly did a great job making them, thanks for uploading this video, this format is more comfortable if I just want to see the cinematics, I'm excited for you to start the DLC.

Their armor.. Mjølner mark 4 I believe weighted around 900 kg + a bigger human aka spartan around 100 kg. Yeah 1 ton is about right. Also important headsup. At least for HW 1, in- game energy shields for their armor is NOT invented yet so is non-canon gameplay only. Not 100% sure about the mjolnir mark 4 in HW 2 but it might be same deal unless scavenged tech to somehow come up with energy shielding with help of Isabel I bet, shorter time sincevits alredy invented alredy. Awesome videos Jade, you are charming and awesome!

"are they still at the height of their power?“ Nope. Opening cut scene said 20+ years they've been in cryo. Covenant lead by the Prophets kinda no longer exists at the start of this game. Thats why Isabel was confused when a spartan asked about covenant forces.. The covenant has been defeated for years.

I don’t now why, but when you put it like that, it’s crazy to think about. And I’ve read the dark horse comics that follow after the covenant’s fall. It’s weird to think that the empire that had humanity’s on its last legs is gone now.

Spirit of Fires crew NEED to come to Halo Infinite, maybe not at launch but at least some mentions and huuuge content update a bit later on. Red + Blue team and the Sword of Sanghelios, osiris, majestic etc 💪🤜👍

The first fight scene is... Not accurate at all to the lore, but the outcome could be the same. Spartan 2s have a reaction time 14 times faster than a human's. The consensus canon strength of Master Chief is around or above 5 tons, and this is because the best version of gen1 suits multiply strength by 5 and not by 2 like some think. Only the gen2 suits multiply by 2, which takes away Chief's incredible physical power by about 60% or 2.5x and gave Locke the slightest chance to win when they fought each other. Spartan 2s can survive falling from space, and are hyper intelligent. They wouldn't just run at Atriox, let alone without dodging attacks and aiming to take out his eyes and stuff. And if they did, he would not be able to crush their suits like he did. A realistic Atriox would wear a helmet, have an energy shield, and hold one of the Spartans hostage (twisting limbs until they break and doing similar things) to bring them into close combat.

Yes! Yes! I say it again, red team were wasouts from the spartan 2 program, peeps think they are weaker.. they are NOT. They were reaugmented right before HW1 also their Mjolnir (Mjølner, in Norwegian, Thors hammer ) is a non energy shielded Mark 4. In- game shielding dosent count. The cutscenes portrayal does. Nowehere do you see attacks impact their energy shields if their armors had so.

I think this is also due to the fact that they were in cryo, so they didnt have uprgraded armour! because the Spirit of Fire was a much older crew! And also I think Artiox and the banished are stronger! But that is just what I thought! I could be wrong!

Then instead of increasing their range and using their guns, they just ran at him. It’s easily the dumbest 45 seconds of halo cutscene ever

Something a bunch of people missed. The reason why the captain didn't put his hat on till Serena stopped talking, is due to an old maritime law. Take off your hot for those who perished. As he was walking, Serena kept talking, when she stopped, he put the hat on. He was paying respects to her death.

One thing i have to complain about isn’t the fact that Isabel pulled a lawrence of Aribia and and used the mercenary sangheli’s carrier against them. It’s the fact that She pulled it off without saying that She would pull a Lawrence of aribia beacuse that would be an awesome one liner

overall, don't mind the changes in faces from 1 to 2. Except for Anders, because somehow her entire ethnicity changed in Cryo, as she was Asian (Likely Japanese/Korean, with a bit of Han in there looks like) in Halo Wars one, and now she's European. I know Cryo can do some crazy things, but I didn't realize it completely changed your skin color, and race! i would also advise watching one of the "Game Movies" done for Halo Wars 2 (Gamers Little Playground does a good one) where its showing story relevant in game stuff since your wondering about some points, which include the entire bit with Alice and how she gets back on the ship, which is entirely done in game.

About what you said last in this video, halo wars 1 wasn’t meant to fit in the current halo timeline, it was a spin off jade, but now halo wars 2 is part of the main halo timeline. I heard some fans arguing that “if chief dies/retires in halo infinite, 343i should continue the franchise with Jerome and Isabel as the main characters”. Not gonna lie but those bonks in very intense moments had me laughing😂

Gotta say that in english the voice actor for Isabel got excellent and captured magnificently the emotions of her, her anger, fear, sadness, courage and many words/emotions more but in the Glorious Cutter's discourse the latin dub is definitely better than the original one if you're reading this it's worth to check it out

I never played any Halo Wars games but i think i get the story now, this is the same ring as the one from Halo Infinite i think considering we see a guardian come there at the end and i assume Cortana is on it. I could be wrong though

No the ring we're on in Halo Infinite is Zeta Halo. One of the first rings ever created by the Forerunners. It was basically a dedicated flood research facility. But I like that link you made between both games.
