Dear Scott, I really like your videos and as a long time hardstyle enthousiast I have to say: you're focussing way too much on the drops man..... You did it with your 1st time phuture noise vid and again in here.... Lose my mind and Live the moment for example aren't about the drops, but atmospheric sound and the emotions it brings together with the lyrics. Try to learn to differentiate between euphoric/classic hardstyle which focuses more on the things mentioned before and Raw, which is more focussed of the heavy kicks and drops. * Edit That doesn't mean that euphoric can't have an amazing drop/kick or that Raw can't have a emotional melody.
@@reessabb While that's true, i dont think you can really force that. Some people just tend to pay attention to other things then others. What you appreciate most can change over time though. I for example remember and notice melody's pretty quickly, but i cant recite a sentence of the lyrics of basically anything. My mind just doesn't pay attention to it at all.
@@kiliandjfilms you have a point and I agree, everyone subconsciously pays attention to different details, some to the melody and some to the lyrics. What I mean is choosing to wait for a drop while ignoring the focus of the song, "Live the moment" being the main example here, though there are many other examples out there. IMO the best part of the track are the lyrics at the start and every time I listen to it with my eyes closed I get goosebumps, whereas Scott in the vid doesn't even really pay attention in anticipation of the drop. In this song in particular, the drop/melody only serves to amplify the emotions brought up with the lyrics/slow music at the start.
I think a lot of this list is debatable, especially between what boils down to nostalgia and what holds up to modern 'standards'. Newer hardstyle fans won't know a lot of the old songs and have a lot of different tastes. But I will say, Live the Moment 100% deserves the number 1 spot. The melody is legendary, and the atmosphere is nearly unmatched. I voted for a lot of more modern songs for this event, but Live the Moment was still in my top 3.
@@modelistas1 See, but thats what I'm saying. Thats why the list is debatable, and will look different for every single person. If that's someones taste, we should just let them enjoy it. Obviously Scott doesn't seem to agree with most of the top 25 tracks, and that's absolutely ok
think about it the its called "Best HS Songs Of All Time" not the last few years thats i big factor. non of these are my favorites but i can respect the placements, the top 5 cant contain songs that released yesterday if u know what i mean.
@@TASSnoop Anyone who’s been listening to pre 2010 will agree with most it. Apart from the Darkest Hour controversy, Ran-D Live for the moment & Max Enforcer Lost In Paradise wasn’t top 5 tracks at least. Criminal that Lost In Paradise was so low.

Hardstyle is a journey and anyone that’s been listening since the early 00s knows how special the older songs are. They have a powerful meaning that have touched us all one way or another. Hardstyle has saved my life so many times 🙌🏼
You need to try listen and enjoy the lyrics more, they have a big part of the harderstyles and what message it brings to our orange hearts! Good react tho, keep it up! :)
Some of those songs are popular because of their emotional vocals/lyrics. The Brennan Heart tracks, FTS and Live The Moment defenitely deserve their spots. Like I said before: You should listen to this video again and again and react to it when you watch it for the tenth time 😉
The final song is Wildstylez - Encore, in my opinion the top 2 of the best songs ever, in this position would also be Project One - Resurrection, best reaction of the channel
As hard as the melody and kick was for live the moment, I still prefer the original, its got that classic feel to it that you don't get with the wildstylez edit
Actually the #1 song is 2019 edit of Wildstylez. The original is from 2010 and it's slightly different bcause of lack of wildstylez kick. Check out the original, you wouldn't regret
I'm quite surprised at how many of the older ones you aren't a fan of or even heard before. Just listening on shuffle plays me most of these tracks quite often! Especially Imaginary and Lose My Mind :D
@@skataar1 definitely, and it also took me a long time to realize that (TBY remix) means it is a technoboy remix, that DBSTF are D-Block & S-te-Fan, and that T78 is Activator. So much stuff going on!
Most of these songs are so heart hitting because of their story and emotions, not really their drops. You are focussed a bit too much on the drops, especially with nr 5

I think everyone agree’s. I personally have it as debatable best track of all time along with live the moment. Those 2 are for me the greatest tracks of all time.
