I mean since you guys are not devout Christians as mentioned, this Video shouldn´t be a big issue, since it´s adressed to devout Christians that are also celebrating Christmas. It´s just to clarify that it was invented rather being a part of Christianity.

Do not judge Islam through Muslims because people are not perfect, judge religion through its beliefs and rulings.

Your response really reminded me of the saying “ man is born free but everywhere in chains”. Allah says something similar in the Quran to paraphrase “have you not seen the one who takes his own desires as God”. If you don’t submit to the truth you will submit to your desires and “happiness” or whatever fulfils you whenever you feel like it. That is a very dangerous and useless way to live because you’re not taking any of these things with you when you die and just missing the purpose of this life. It’s like going to university to just eat and party instead of studying to benefit in your future you’ll come out of it the same as you went in but with debt and regrets. No hate it’s just food for thought and definitely deeper than your inner self allows you to believe. We are weak as humans and when we let our desires overcome us we will make every excuse under the book to follow them. There are many things in this world that harm us and society but we just haven’t the knowledge to understand this yet, even if they seemingly make you feel happy and fulfilled they are actually very harmful. It’s kind of like being addicted to a dangerous drug but not having the knowledge of it being dangerous and doing it because it makes you feel good. That drug will kill you and when people who know this come to warn you it doesn’t register because you’d rather chase the temporary gratification that drug gives you than to put in the work and figure out the truth. Ultimately the bigger questions should be asked. Is it worth sacrificing your purpose and passing the test for temporary satisfaction of worldly things that when you die won’t benefit you or save you. Idk that hedonistic lifestyle and being a slave to your desires seems to me like an awful and useless way to live even if it’s under the guise of “happiness”. May Allah swt guide you to Islam and allow you to become mentally and spiritually strong enough to pass the test of life and not waste your time here on the worlds adornments.

I was listening to music and iam Muslim I was so obsessed with it like I didn’t want to listen to Quran it was distracting me from worshiping my god and one day I stopped to listen to it and started to listen more to Quran wallahe it was the best things I did it الحمدلله my Allah guide you to the right path

Muslims believe in Jesus but don't celebrate Christmas which is a holiday that celebrates Jesus as divine. Muslims don't take part in things that claim anything as divine besides Allah. Just like suggesting someone else as your mom besides your mom is such an insult to your mom, suggesting someone else as your creator besides God is a huge insult to God. In Islam, it's called Shirk which is the worst sin. Also, life is temporary. The afterlife is eternal. When you give up worldly things, you're exchanging something temporary for something eternal. But if you're only looking for temporary happiness (in life only), then you wouldn't want to go by the book. Just remember it's not supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be worth it.

I am not saying I am perfect and don’t listen to music, but many Muslims are devout and actually don’t listen to music, they’re not little. With that being said, as someone who listens to music, I see the logic as to why you shouldn’t listen to it, specially the music of today. Music is an addiction, just look at how dependent we are on it. Every free time you have you can’t sit without having it in your ears, or while you’re studying, whilst you’re doing chores, it’s a constant dopamine fix. And I feel like concerts speak for themselves, many people stand in the sun and pay a lot of their money just to jump infront of their “idol” like brain dead slaves. Just to feel that rush. Music goes against sobriety, in a way, it goes hand in hand with clubs and alcohol, whenever you go to these places, you find musi. You are what you listen to, the lyrics of today (and throughout time) are provocative, misogynistic and encourage drug abuse and being carless, to worship money. It affects your mood greatly, while it can motivate you, it can make you wallow in your feelings this affecting your actions. I see why it can be bad for you, but I also see that not all music is that way. The prophet didn’t hangout in places where musical instruments were playing like those around the idols during sacrificing festivities, but he did enter Medina to the sound of them playing drums as a form of welcome. There is no definitive statement prohibiting listening to music, but there are many suggestions to stay away from it and that’s better for you and allah knows best.

In Islam, some agreed That songs are haram but they all agreed that the songs that encourage you to do bad things are haram.

I am from India. So according to my experience. The Christians here celebrate Christmas on 25 is because baby Jesus was born on that day. But in relation to that since it is a celebration, there is festivals, food, family reunion, gifts and other things. But for them that day has a special history and meaning as part of religion and their community, but it also bring people together. Afterall for being happy and for reunion of family doesn't have to be on a specific date is it? And to be specific Christmas is not a celebration of a country or other things is it? It is of a specific religion and a specific community. It is a religious celebration or holiday. And you don't understand it's importants because you live in a large major community of a specific religion and just goes with the flow . Even you said that, even though it is the honour of Jesus it is not in our heads. Today Most of the people are like that. You are not mindful of the reasons behind the celebration but only of celebration itself. It's like everybody is dancing, and I think it's a party so we are also partying. You said your doctrine is live your life happily and do what makes you happy and do good and right deeds. You like pork and there are other things that make happy. And if you don't do that you won't be happy. Is this what the people who believe there is no hereafter usually say? They say you only have one life and live it right and do what makes you happy. And here is where they are wrong. For believers this life is a sacrifice for God. So if you sacrifice this life according to how God wants you to live and worship him day and night, then you can live in the heaven however you want forever.

It reminds me of a verse of the Quran that says (paraphrasing) :"some people take their own desires as their God"

It is not a condition that all that you love will benefit you, nor that all that you hate will harm you. Man is limited and his life will not help him without the guidance of the One and Only Being who is absolute and necessary to exist (God Almighty) to know with certainty where the good is, is it in what He loves or in what He hates.

So, the music thing. There are a lot of prof as to why music is haram, both told in the Quran, but also by famous ex-artist in the industry. There are also clips where it show how it is physically harming your body, which is just a few clicks away. Now as for the short and Islamic answer to your question, it’s simply that, music take me you away from the remembrance of Allah (swt). Music is powerful, no one can deny that. And among Islamic scholars, the majority deem it to be forbidden but those that don't, do at the very least consider it something to be wary of. Islamically, you shouldn't give anything that much power over you and that's really just the issue in a nutshell. Also important to note is the idea that the Quran and music cannot exist in the same heart and I'd imagine any Muslim, from experience, would testify to that. Might also be interesting/fun (?) for you guys to look up backtracking and backmasking in music.

Let me explain something! In Islam, we are asked not to follow ANYTHING called Bidaah; anything that has a wrong origins or was for a bad thing at the start of it and became s practice but turned out to be good and whatnot. So, Chirstmas is an example for that. The issue is that anything can be the same; Bad but still people will follow and do eventually ignoring the fact that it was built on a lie even tho you are not celebrating the lie but rather the vibes of it.

11:00 okay.. I am trying to explain.. first of all I am not a islamic scholar or something like that but a Muslim who used to heard a lot of musics and I also used to play piano..... Music is haram because (as far I think and research)--- 1. Some musics have bad words, slang languages, sexual words which is bad. 2. Many songs make Shirk(which means comparing someone with Allah like in a Hindi song says "Tujh mein raab dikhta hai" which means "i see God in you" that is tell by a lover to his lady love) is totally prohibited. ..... The third point I specifically experienced it and felt it... 3. The rhythm always play on mind whatever I use to do something songs come to my mind even I can't focus on my studies. It can not make me focus on any other works. 4. Music take you in an another world(not physically but mentally 😅) if you follow it. 5. Only vocals are allowed if it follows the 1st and 2nd point obviously. 6. Sound of every musical instrument detaches a listener from the world which may be good which happens to me at the beginning music is helpful but after that I went to the 3rd situation... ......... That's why I give up practicing music and after that I came to know that it's haram and I get motivated that okay it was haram and I am doing that I am giving up it... And now Alhamdulillah everything is going well.... .... May be due to these effects it is haram🤷... Allah knows the best

No brother, we don’t eat pork or drink alcohol because it has bacteria in it or it’s bad for us but rather we don’t consume them simply because God said so, that’s it, end of story. We hear and we obey because if there’s anyone you should ever trust without any doubt, it is God, and sure if you’re curious you could look into the wisdoms behind why it might have been prohibited.

If I follow my desires, I will do crazy things, and the thing that prevents me from doing that is because I have moral principlesIt dictated to me by my religion, I consider it unwise to believe in a holy book, but at the same time I do not follow that book, especially the essence of the faith of what that book calls for.

I am a Muslim, and I studied Islamic education in Arabic from first grade to high school, and we never studied whether music is forbidden or not, but of course we asked teachers and religious scholars about this matter, and they differed as to whether it was halal or haram. But the most logical answer for me is from one of the religious doctors, and he said that there is no strong and definitive evidence that music is haram. I want you to know that I am not a scholar of religion and do not take my words as evidence and God alone knows everything and I am not qualified to say this is haram or halal, I just shared my experience related to this matter

There is a difference of opinion with “music is haram”, some people believe it’s haram and some don’t. Personally I don’t believe that music is haram.

Bro you either believe that the Bible is from God and you follow it or you don't, you are saying I know better than my God. The music thing in Islam is debated, there are great scholars like Al-Ghazali who believed it is permissible with some restrictions, and others who believe it is Haram all together; it is not mentioned explicitly in the Qur'an.

The Prophet said it was haram. The influence that music has on a person was clearly documented 1000 years ago. They confirmed the ability of music to have a very significant impact on the emotional state of a person, on his sensory perceptions and behavior, as well as on his activity. Then control is established over your body, your brain is no longer under your control. And you become addicted and under their influence, without realizing it. Starting with the texts, in fact it is audio pornography, ending with a blow to human morality. You can't listen to music because it's the voice of the devil. It turns away from the Koran. It turns away from the Koran, because the Koran is the word of God, and music is the word of the Devil. What you listen to fills you, therefore music is haram, because as a believer you cannot combine two completely opposite things. One thing will definitely displace the other, and if music displaces the Koran, it means that the devil has taken control.

I don't think the prohibition of music is given within the Qur'an as a law or commandment. But I think within the Hadiths, there is more detail given with regards to it. Scholars who have followed over the centuries have given reasons for certain musical instruments, sounds and dance is not encouraged. Sounds and music can be like intoxicants, it can alter ones consciousness and focus effecting the listeners emotions and state of mind. But there are mixed opinions on the matter of music, there are different opinions..it's quite a complicated topic. Some say certain music is allowed, some say no..

About the music and thing like that, i as a muslim also listen a lot of music and metals. It's about don't let the love for music 'consume' you, don't let oneself to idolize hard and stuff. as Imam Ghazali himself said ''those who claim song is forbidden, let them claim that hearing the song of the bird is forbidden''. It's about the 'iman' of oneself

When Allah declares something as halal, it is halal; and when Allah declares something haram, it is haram. That's how a muslim should believe.
