I loved your perspective on needing a ‘real job.’ There was this one influencer I used to follow who told a story once about something she did in a McDonald’s drive thru and it was soooo many red flags about having never worked retail. Working retail teaches so much about common sense and a work ethic in a way no office job ever can.
I used to work by cleaning a Church every week, I was a Day Care Worker taking care of the babies thru 4 year Olds and I worked at Walmart as a stocker and I worked at Sonic as a car hop and I was on the register

its crazy how age differences seem so drastic between life stages when eryn first moved in, i was 19ish myself and thought of eryn as this little baby 15 year old that had all of highschool ahead of her now shes going on 20, while i’ll be 24 and she still seems young but very much more a peer than such a younger entity. its been crazy watching you [both] grow so much🖤

The part where Laura said it's good for parents to encourage their kids to work, is so true. Apart from being in touch with reality, it prepares them for adulthood, in the future. That's where I still have beef with my mom: it's how she deprived me in my late teens from getting a job eventhough I wanted to. I know how that affected me after college, in terms of getting a job because of my lack of experience.
I swear, just when I couldn't think I couldn't love Laura anymore, here comes this video. An actual person who cares for others, a true southern belle, minus the accent I guess 😂 Laura is literally the aunt I wish I had to save me from my childhood, which seems similar to Eryn's 😢
I love Laura's voice. I used to play her videos to help soothe me to sleep when I was struggling during the pandemic. There's just enough southern in there to make me feel at home

That one comment about Eryn mooching off of Laura!!! I don’t believe she’s mooching off of someone that is essentially her parent. If Laura buys her things, pays a bill, takes her out to eat etc. is normal stuff that parents do. I still do it for my kids and they’re 39 and 41!! If they need Mama, Mama is right there!!! I think Eryn knows just how lucky she is to have Laura and Ty. ❤

It’s a good thing you don’t want her to just stay with you. My mom always told me she didn’t want me to move home because I’m not living my own life at home I’m living her life because I will always be her child no matter how old I am and how much she tries to treat me as an adult.

I agree with you Laura Lee. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 9 and when we moved back to the South after a couple of years of living there I had lost most of my Southern accent. People literally made fun of me because my accent had changed so dramatically.

I just wanted to come and say I remember when you adopted Eryn and when you shared the struggles her mom had. And as a recovering addict, those videos made me realize how blessed I was to not have had a child during active addiction and that it was ok to be open about my recovery and my story. It's a part of me, and unfortunately I'll always be an addict, whether im in recovery or not and that's ok.
Laura, you were fighting in court during that witch hunt? Man, you are so strong. I prefer post-apocalyptic Laura only because I feel you are more authentic and that you are happier with yourself. I didn't really connect to the past Laura because I think there was this other layer there. I love that you just went about your business better Eryn's life, your life and came up stronger than ever. Anyone wondering about the MininLA body oil.. I HATE anything scented like vanilla or coconut BUT I like the oil. This body oil isn’t a blast of scent and it’s scented like a true coconut/vanilla. I think I don’t like that artificial scent. The oil doesn’t have that.
why would someone say that Eryn is "mooching off Laura" - she is a child that went through very difficult situation with her family - you wouldnt tell your child that theyre "mooching off you" As a parent you take care of your child. People are messed up!
My parents actively discouraged me from having a job in high school and first part of college. The trade off was having extremely high academic and athletic expectations. That set me up to succeed in any job I’ve had: I know how to learn quickly and work through complex problems and be persistent in seeking to understand.
I have been here for about 9 plus years and it has been such a pleasure to watch you Laura I will always be in awe of you. Eryn has grown into such an amazing young lady and she is so lucky to have you both ❤
I’ve noticed even with oldest son who is barely 13. He doesn’t want to say like I’m straight or gay. He likes girls outwardly. But he’s like I like who I like and I’m 13. I think this new generation is of I like a person I like a person and until they are older and having intimate relationships I don’t think think anyone knows. As long as they are consenting and and care about you who cares.

I love your accent. And I totally agree about the accent becoming muddled. My mom was born and raised in Australia and over the years her accent has definitely changed and there’s nothing wrong with it I still love it and I still love yours!

My heart absolutely glows knowing that Eryn came to you and her life ( and yours ) have been so amazing and worked out. Especially with her mom. I was taken from my mother and put in the system at 3. I had a horrible upbringing & prayed for years for someone to step up for me like you did for Eryn. I loooooove. Unfortunately my mom died in her addictions last year. I’m 34 now and I can’t imagine how different my life could have been. Eryn had no idea how incredibly strong and resilient she is. 😘
Im Canadian and vacationed in florida and LITERALLY came home with an accent because i was around people with southern accents😂 My grandma would visit Nova soctia for 2 months every year and she would come home and have an accent If it doesnt happen to you, you wouldn't understand 🫠

I relate with my niece. I'm 39 my niece is 15. She doesn't wear makeup yet but we hangout like sister's. She moved to North Carolina so I'm missing her to death. I think Laura and Tyler are a great influence on Eryn. I believe they make great parents and I'm happy for them all.
