I think doctors actually do that. Many doctors refuse, therefore these people often have to search for doctors who don't care about reputation and that's when fuck ups happen. There was an actual case where an illegal "doctor" injected cement in someone's face to shape it.

I don’t think doctors are at fault, i mean the real doctors/holistic doctors would never do extreme plastic surgery for their patients. It’s either fake doctors/doctors who chase for money. I think they want to be perfect and loved by everyone just by the looks. Not even working out. Just with money. And it's obviously never enough for them to think "now I love myself the way I am", because it's not about the looks at all. They have problems in their mind. Absolutely. It's not just doctors, dentists do this too grinding down people's teeth to stick veneers on them. If I was in charge, I would have a board that reviews the outcome and quality of optional cosmetic surgery, and if they decide "Doctor X has messed up your face", Doctor X gets struck off.

Everyone is born with a special apearance it should not matter how you look and there should not be a good and a bad appearance, because it truly doesnt matter. I look ugly and i know it, but I get good grades and im athletic so naturally people respects me. Instead of wanting to look better you should focus on changing stuff about yourself that truly matters, so you can evolve as a person get more confident and live a better life.

Try to hire a trainer, or exercise with a friend. Try going hiking. Listen to music while you exercise, or use dance as an exercise.

Majority aren't hurting anyone by doing so...so a dangerous precident could be set..if u wanted to do something imagine having to validate and verify and jump through hoops which make it worse for that person. For example, if someone is bipolar and having a manic episode, they shouldn’t be allowed cosmetic plastic surgery when they’re manic. It’s like getting a tattoo but much more permanent and invasive. Tattoo artists have a right, actually an obligation, to make sure their client is safe, sane, and consenting. It should be the safe for doctors, but even more strict. If you need doctors’ evaluation to take prescription medication and to medically transition, it should be the same for cosmetic surgery.

Problem is psychiatrists are all on board for body mutilation, if it involves a certain type of dysmorphia...

@@zhain0 sure, no problem. I had injection lipolysis and some thread lifting done on my face. They’re considered very low risk procedures, otherwise I definitely wouldn’t even have considered it. I did it because I had a rather round face and chubby cheeks my entire life, even when I was very underweight at one point, the fat on my face would always stay and not budge at all. I never liked how it looked and my confidence took a hit because of it. I got older and went through puberty and all that, but it still wouldn’t go away. I would never let anyone take photos of me unless it was absolutely necessary and I didn’t like looking in the mirror. It’s also important to note that I never hated my whole face, it was just this one part that was really annoying and bothersome to me. I also never felt pressured by social media or anything like that. And even though people I‘m close to said they didn’t mind my face, I still decided to go through with the procedures, because after all, I did it for myself and because I wanted to get this weight off my shoulders that’s been holding me back as I felt like. Anyway, I feel a lot better now and have no regrets. :) And sorry for the long dragged out story lol

@@tabora_ i have minor scoliosis that causes me quite a bit of chronic pain (ontop of other issues.) Working out helpped it a lot too, strengthening the muscles around the spine to protect it

I mean it does stem from a time where women couldn’t just go out and get a job the same way a man could. Even today a common tactic by abusers is to get their partner to quit their job in order to trap them. After all if the left they would have nothing. Alimony does at least potentially fix this aspect of that and makes it theoretically easyer for the abused to leave. As long as it’s normalized that men also can benefit from getting alimony in such cases it’s not a bad consept in theory.

Playing devil's advocate to another devil's advocate: if they see good results they'll be more encouraged to get the surgery even if it's for cosmetic reasons and use A LOT of money for their appearance-related obsession whether it could have been achieved through exercise (although not easy) or not. They might get the surgery out of impulse and spent their college tuition money because of their perceived flaws (note on perceived flaws). There should have been a limit here. They should have drawn the line on muscle implants and removing an unwanted vein on Ken doll's neck, risking his eyesight. That is where they should have made them seek mental health professionals.
