I'm a 38 year old woman from Ireland, and I'd never heard of you before watching Jon Denton's reaction to Sisyphus. I couldn't believe how great of a song it was, and was really looking forward to the album dropping. And when it did... I FUCKING LOVED IT. So impressive, so lyrical, so much going on yet beautifully harmonious, you are seriously talented. And that you produced it too? Shut the front door! The last full album I was really looking forward to, and enjoyed enough to listen to the whole thing was Run The Jewels 4, so you're in good company. P.S. Showed Sisyphus to my 68 year old mother and she thought it was fucking class, and she saw Led Zeppelin live in 1969 so she knows good music.

This album told the story of climbing the mountain and the struggles and triumphs of making it to the top. I thought it was insanely well written and shows quads growth so much

So hyped for the next album In like 3 years.

every 5/10 from melon is an emotional rollercoaster of a video. since 5/10 is a neutral score that means he has an equal amount of good and bad things to say, and he switches back and forth between them in good cop/bad cop style

I’ve always thought of the full album as a embodiment of climbing a mountain from start to finish.

Hearing Quadeca say that Sisyphus was one of the last songs he made and that he was at his most artistically and technically mature at that point makes me so insanely excited for whatever is next.

just so you know, i think the ambient interludes add a lot to the experience of the album and i enjoy them a lot.

FMTY is honestly such a well put together album. Personally I don't think it has as many stand out tracks as Voice Memos, but the project as a whole is incredible

You blew me away with this album. This album was an experience and summit part 2 really feel like we made it as fans listening to this masterpiece and we finally heard it and it was worth the wait. Then it felt like you made it as an artist putting out this album that you’ve put so much effort into. Just perfect

One thing I disagree with was the shades of us abuse. Come on that’s arguably one of the best songs on the album right next to people pleaser. Come on Fanta man 🥲

I used to feel the same about Summit just being one song and I didn't get why he split them up but now actually I like that they're separate cuz I find myself listening to pt 2 more than pt 1; I like having that dreamy ethereal vibe as it's own thing rather than having to skip to the end of pt 1 everytime I'm in the mood just for that section.

I felt the interludes made the album seem kinda cinematic, which I enjoyed a lot. Shades of Us was one of my favorite songs on the album as well. I do agree with Fantano on the points about trying to do too much on some of the tracks. You are improving on the cringe as well lol. This album was amazing and can't wait for the next one (dropping a mixtape in between wouldn't be a bad idea :/).

I love how he can take the criticism. A lot of people get defensive when people put down their stuff but if you do that you’ll never grow. And sometimes people just hating but in Fontanos case I think he wants to see him get better.

Guys there's no need to get butthurt about a 5/10, Anthony is a legitimate music critic who's been doing it for at least a decade and doesn't just rate music off of 'good or bad'. He's rated albums with much higher budgets and more renowned artists well below 5 before as well. As someone who was introduced to Quadeca through this album I love half the songs, I don't love the other half. No doubt this album will be a stepping stone to an absolute banger of a project in the future.

Damn I remember waiting for “Easiest to Write (Hardest to Sing)” to drop and it getting delayed on Spotify. Now I was waiting for a fantano review on his album. You’ve come a long way.

Ive been a fan of quad since 2016. Hes developed so much. Hearing this album it actually made me cry. And usually im not into anthony fantano's reviews. But this one i actually agree with. When I first listened to the album the songs that stood out to him were also my top picks. All in all, this was truly perfect to watch

Self-indulgence is just ambition looked at by a pessimist; I don’t think it’s a critique anyone should take clearly. Fantano’s tendency to use it a lot in his critiques I think discredits him quite a bit or comes off as merely lazy, and I think it kneecaps this review, too. Instead, I wish he would explain *why* the ambition and emotion didn’t connect with him, instead coming across self-indulgent and melodramatic.
