When is it okay to criticize someone public figure's family??? I hope that's being asked rhetorically to spur listener thought because it takes me very little to think of the answer: it's okay when that family member deliberately does something that has a profound negative impact on others, or the public. This is why underage children are almost never ever a valid target of public criticism, because it's pretty rare they even can touch that bar, let alone go over it. No, it’s going after family members of candidates period that just happen to be a family member. People born with a condition or a preference should always be off limits! I have never been a fan of Former President Trump, but it was off limits in my mind to even consider using his last son as comedic relief.
