Thank you Steve Terreberry for doing what you do. I lost my wife 3 years ago to cancer and things have been kinda difficult this past few years. I discovered your channel not so long ago and it has really helped me cope with my depression. I have moved on now, remarried just a few months ago and is blessed with a son. I look back on the times that I was depressed and remembered that it was through your videos I started laughing again. Keep doing what you do brother coz I know theres a lot out there like me who are just as fucked up and needs a bit of happiness in their lives... much respect to you bro

I love you Steve t.. my gf died in 2018 and she wanted to be a guitarist... But I have picked up guitar on her behalf and I just watch your videos which keeps me motivated all the time.. I am 26 and I have started guitar late in life but coz of you I just enjoy this instrument.... I know who you are from inside, we all know.. no one hates you :) at least not me . Thanks for all the stuffs in your videos it really helped me to move on

She died on 1st December 2018 from some heart problem.. her dream was to become a vocalist + guitarist.. she was an arch enemy fan (specially Alissa white gluz) .. she was learning guitar and wrote many songs so that she could compose but she died suddenly , initially, I thought that I will take help of producers to complete her songs but then I accidentally found Steve T and I picked up guitar my self , started learning last year only ..I was in depression and in a state of shock but his videos made me laugh , I started getting interest back in my life. Hopefully I get her song composed by myself and I want Steve T to keep making these funny videos.. idk but I can connect to him .. I feel like he is my brother :)

I’m 15 and my first influence for guitar was Brian May back when I was 7 and then 4 years later when I was 11 I discovered Swedish metal musician Endigo and she inspired me to pick up guitar again and then I started watching Steve a few weeks later when my dad showed me the Richard Benson video and he’s been such an inspiration since then that I literally do his faces instinctively, and while I prefer many other guitarists to him, he’ll always have an extremely special place in me

You remind me of a much younger, and less country-ish Junior Brown. Check out his Rock and Roll Medley. You should make something like that. Stevie was hated by most everyone when he first started and then people warmed up to him, then they actually got him, then he grew a massive fanbase. Huge props 👍🏼👍🏼
I agree and this is how I felt! I started showing people his videos with an intro of ,"I don't know if I love this guy or hate him." He grew on me and now I'd put him on my favorite top ten guitarist list.
Songsterr has a far superior layout. The tabs are written with proper rhythm notation as you'd find in sheet music, time signatures, bpm markings, plays the song to help the player hear how the part is supposed to go, and quite a bit more. As far as accuracy of the tabs to the actual song... I think that's a toss up. Both sites usually have massive inaccuracies per song. (This is speaking from the point of view of a person that hasn't paid for either websites premium services. I can't speak for those.)
Stevie you are kinda like the deadpool of the guitar world some people are annoyed by you and hate you but you have the most loyal fan base and you are truly the best plus I love them faces
I play drums, piano and guitar. I love to sing as well. I'm pretty good with drums being my claim of fame so to speak. Drums is definitely my "best" instrument. I remember playing a show back when I was in my 20s at a local scene. It usually had around 100-200 people in audience give or take the day of the week. We were playing and you can always notice the people who are just hating your music even though 90 percent of the crowd is loving it. I remember talking to my dad about how it sucks some people will talk shit or hate on you no matter what. He said, "no matter how good you are at something . There will be people who love it and people who hate it. That's just life". I'll never forget that. And the ones who hate only hate because you have something they want. I love the channel man. Keep up the great work!

I started last year at 50. I'm pretty sure the folks at Sweetwater Guitars collaborate with crack dealers...it's the only answer that explains my insane number of purchases. (like a good junkie, I love them)
Last year I bought my first guitar now I´m learning to play it and I really enjoy it. I also thought that I was too old to learn (even though Im just 23) but you just need some chords to start playing the easy songs and then you can build up from there
Returning after years off. Stevie T is inspirational! Everyone has suggestions; here's mine. Get something like a Pocket Pod, which has hundreds of guitar sounds. Get "powered" or "active" "studio monitors" that you can plug your guitar into. If your monitors have usb, which most do nowadays, you can record and over-dub straight into Audacity, which is free. Zzounds music lets you buy on credit without credit check! They're getting like $50 a month from me 'til who knows!?!

I watched a video about what had happened to Richard Benson to make him into what he's become and it made me feel ashamed for laughing at the video that ridiculed him. His story is a tragedy.

@Born Unloved I just have a foul taste in my mouth after they kept charging me for UG pro after I cancelled. UG is shit, they make money off of people's work and charge you money for a program that you can get for free. TuxGuitar is the way to go.

Sure it's better, but they compliment each other. Sometimes you just want an outline of the chords and not a full playthrough tab. Also UG has more songs than Songsterr.

But for real, does mysongbook only have 18 Metallica tabs? *LOL* Ultimate guitar has (mostly, I'd imagine) all the content those sites have and more. Sometimes you have to sieve through shit to find a diamond tab, but at least it's all in one easily archived place.
What I find amusing is, if you read the blurb, it reads just like any other Steve-hater. They may not be drawn to your personality but they can never deny your talent and be taken seriously. Yeah, back when I discovered Stevie's channel I thought he was super cringy and somewhat annoying, but that's just part of his personality. I do like his sense of humor and enjoy his videos a lot. I think he's a better guitar player than most "serious" guitar youtubers by a long fucking shot.

@@WookieWarriorz It's because people can't handle criticism, if you were featured in one of Steve's video is because you did something really stupid or funny or embarrassing, but Steve always tries to sound obnoxious or annoying to give the message that he is not superior to anyone, (and this is my point of view) something like "wow, that was cringy and hilarious, but I can be cringy and hilarious too -makes stupeed face-". Also I believe Steve is an incredible skillful guitar player, if someone gets mad its because maybe they can't better him...
