well.while groups have been taking certain things from the west since forever.bts really lost themselves as soon as they came across that wave of success.that doesn’t happen to no other group.

I became an army in 2018 and i loved all their older stuff, after Boy w Luv I felt distant from their music, love them as people! but I feel like their music has lost it's direction, back then they stood for something, every era had a reason, like take love yourself era for example, there was a theme. Now idk what they got going, they're just releasing songs, feels like every other mainstream artist in America.

I also feel like there English tracks feel forced to be American and its just not the same anymore. honestly I have hope for them they just need to put out a good Korean song again that's not cringe.

i have hundreds of videos on my channel. and even a few discussion videos talking about bts,the decline in their music and how i really feel about them.i’ve been a kpop fan for almost 6 years so i know a good bit about them.even used to watch some bts funny moments vids when i first got into kpop.they just fell off for me man.

my opinion on itzy in this vid is pretty dated now.i still feel the exact same about their music,but i have two members in my ult bias list.& to be real transparent,i started off not liking them as members because of their music and their 'look'.but they’re cool now & with bts,well even they know their music took a turn,so i’ve moved on from that topic now.

It's interesting how many people say BTS quality of music went down as they got more popular. My only really big complaint about their most recent music is I'm ready for something other than disco pop happy songs. I know Life Goes On wasn't happy or upbeat but I have mixed emotions on mid tempo songs in general. But I genuinely thought Map of the Soul: 7 (my favorite is probably Love Yourself: Tear) was a great album, my only complaint about it was it only had 4 new OT7 songs on the entire album (excluding tracks that were previously on Persona). But again since I really liked the solos and subunit songs it didn't bother me too much. I just hope 2022 is a great year for them now they can perform in person again they will be more inspired to make music knowing they can perform the new songs in person. And while I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion I don't get the hate Idol gets, maybe because I'm a sucker for anthemic songs. Having an entire stadium shouting "You can't stop me loving myself" makes me so happy.

@@crystalsnow1138 The thing is, it just feels like the music is watered down and now it became just about the UNICEF movement and pleasing the western audience that BTS' touch doesn't feel there. A lot of their B-sides are still amazing I'm just talking about the title tracks. BTS' always knew how to make upbeat and fun music without making it generic and simple like their english trilogy and even Boy with luv(which I do still like but it still feels like watered down BTS). It just feels cheap and the boys themselves don't even like their english music much. So I guess that in itself tells me that it's not them but the company that's pushing this hyper-commercial watered down BTS.

@@yd3216 Where have BTS ever said they don't like their fully English music? I've heard people say before that BTS doesn't want to make songs in English but I've heard them say multiple times on camera that they are open to singing in any language and that the language didn't matter to them. They look like they are having so much fun performing those songs and BTS even had the option of making some of Dynamite's lyrics in Korean but chose not to because they liked the song the way it was. As long as BTS is happy with the songs they are making that's all that matters to me regardless if I or their fans like the songs or not. What also bothers me is BTS have been a group for almost 9 years and have only made 3 fully English songs as a group while they have over 250 songs (if not more) songs in Korean and people will call BTS sell outs because of that. I'm just really interested in what they will do next because they literally could go in any direction.

@@crystalsnow1138 If I'm going to be honest I can't even remember when or where they said that because of content overload but maybe it's that I haven't really watched too many performances because KPOP live shows are kind of boring these days(due to vocal filters, lip synch, and pre-recorded performances, it's never actually "LIVE" so I don't see the point in bothering to watch when I can just watch the dance practice if I wanted to just sit there and watch them dance.) So I haven't seen all their recent performances to check if they are having fun or not. Also it's the fact that they could be bringing 100% of their own flavor to the western market instead of trying to assimilate and conform that's causing people to call them sell outs. Yes they have TONS of korean songs but those are in the past when they weren't as big. It just rubs a bunch of people the wrong way that they changed all of sudden when they are on a world stage now.
