I come from a Palestinian family who owns land and a home in Aboud nearby Ramallah, and I find it absolutely bizarre how many Americans are willing to go along with the Israeli confiscation and control of our land. We Palestinians have the deed to our property given to us by the Ottoman Empire hundreds of years ago, it's not as if we are a bunch of native Americans who never bothered to document what belongs to them. Jews have been living in Palestine for thousands of years and that is not the problem. What the problem is the Zionist movement that came to Palestine in the 1900's as a colonial project with the help of the UK and the US to take over our land trying to make it a utopia for European Jews. Kids protesting at school? Why do they do that? Because school is the only thing they know. Their entire lives revolve around school and they need to display what good little group-thinkers they are.
