I love how considerate you are with your audience, Jen. You never say things to try to impress or to become a hot topic. There's no drama, no bs, just you being genuine and sharing your opinion in a respectful way. We need more people like you!
Definitely agree on the "religious" assumption. Christianity is more of a relationship with Christ. It's not so much about following rules to get to God or to be "holy", but instead to love God so much that you want to live right by Him. I think that's the huge difference: knowing who you are serving and the motives behind the way you live/walk. And I love Jesus too, Jenn! :)
I love this. I'm someone who has not been to church in years, felt like I... moved away from my religion (which is true), but never fully felt that I WASN'T religious with the way I think, my ideals, and other things like that, and I don't know how to identify myself, and hearing Jenn speak about this, and your comment as well has really helped ease my mind in the current moment.
@@ElliezMaplez I know exactly what you mean. Though going to church is important since it's bring a fellowship and community feeling with other believers, it's important to know that church cannot save you. It's our faith that does. I feel like a lot of times we can get it twisted and think that the church is made up of 4 walls, when in fact, Jesus described the church as a the body of Christ--active. It can go beyond a building and should be seen in our thoughts, our actions, at school/work, etc. Because that's really what it's all about--knowing who you are, Whose you are, and sharing that with other people so they can know where their joy and identity lies---in the one who created them in the first place. I hope you find Him as you read His word and get back to your roots. I'll be praying for you! :)
But you do follow the rules. You buy into the stories and doctrines from the bible. You believe and live by Christian claims for God, Jesus, an eternal afterlife, salvation, the miracles and supernatural claims... etc, etc. That is religion and Christianity is most certainly a religion by definition.
Actually getting to know you in this kind of video makes me love and respect you so much more!! Thank you for being so honest and lovingly speaking about your faith!
Its been a while since I've sat down to a From Head to Toe video, I'm not sure why, but it felt so nice to be back :) your videos are so honest and fun!! I need to go check out that finance video you mentioned too :)
The part where you talked about religion was so good. I wish all religious people saw it the way you do where it’s more about personal belief than going out and telling everyone that they’re going to hell or just in general treating others badly if they don’t believe the same thing.
Can you do a video about growing up Korean American? It would be interesting since you grew up in a prominently white community. Also if you had any culture shock and struggles to being more open minded after moving to LA? What is typical Asian girl handwriting?
Lol That’s Roo’Ra 룰라 ‘비밀은 없어’ ( There’s no secret 🎼) Glad to hear ;))) I was also a huge HANSON FAN like you wanna know what was your fav songs from them :D love your video always
Oh and my fav Hanson songs off the top of my head right now are I Will Come To You, This Time Around and their entire Christmas album which I listen to every year.
Wow! Exactly same as mine! I think “I will come to you” should have been more successful when it came out as a single right after mmmbop lol Their SNOWED IN album is a master piece and my fav is the SILENT NIGHT MEDLEY 😉 Thanks for sharing 수경, you have been my no.1 beauty RU-vidr since I started watching RU-vid and it’s my first subscribed channel. Besides love your accent very much. Your slow clear tones helps me improving English as well. Thank you 💕
OMG ROORA I'm only 18 but I'm SUCH a big fan of the old school kpop, mainly the second generation but I do enjoy seeing how the first generation paved the way for Korean entertainment now.
It’s nice to get to know you a bit more! I was the only Asian in my neighborhood so all my friends were Caucasians and Hispanics and it was normal. It was in hs that the Asian girls looked at me differently and told me I needed to hang out with my own people (so mean). When I tried to talk to my students and tell them about H.O.T. and they never know who I’m talking about. My handwriting is fat and all over the place definitely not a font. Acne is still my plague in my 30s! Oh gosh Asian aunties! I had the same ones.
This made me think of how long I’ve been following you/how well I know you from all your videos...so many years of being your fan girl! Love your passion for beauty, clothes, lifestyle, and your faith is definitely a bonus (which is super low key/mostly unheard of on RU-vid). ❤️🤗
As someone with deep set eyes (and a high nose bridge) I LOVE monolids (and lower nose bridges) and I think you’re beautiful: the Lord made no mistake with you. It’s always encouraging to hear someone publicly share their love for Jesus. Thank you, “sister”. 😊❤️
Nice to be back in youtube and seeing your new post is one of my favorites. Hearing your thoughts about certain assumptions about you makes me know you more. And loving how you share Jesus and loving him through your daily life. ❤️❤️❤️ You’re really the best when it comes to make up, since the time I watched your first video tutorial, my make up skills were enhance. I did really learned a lot from you Jen! Keep it up! 🌸❤️
You speak slowly. YES YES YES. As a non English speaker, that is exactly why I'm here. Sometimes I was in a hurry but wanted to watch your video, I set the speed to 2x and still caught up every words. Thank you so much.
hahaha that part about eyelid is so true! i can def relate, altho i don't have a platform such as you. But on a personal level, I've had those love/hate about monolids, surgery for double eye lids, but in the end i just embrace the monolids along with all that comes with it, including the creasing and greasy
My acne took a big toll on my confidence too. I has severe acne throughout high school and it didnt clear up until after i graduated. It didnt help that I ended up being severely allergic to two of my prescribed acne treatments that put me in the hospital. I felt like nothing would help. But now my skin is relatively clear (probably because my hormones finally balanced out). But my pores are permanently enlarged and its soo annoying. I still am extremely grateful for my skin now though.
In the past before I was married I used to think joint finances/account was just silly but now that I’m married, whole different story! And I’m really grateful we don’t have as many finance hang ups as most couples we know. Get clear on your finances it’s v important! 😊
I love videos where I get to know you better even though I’ve been following you for like a decade Also, weirdly enough I knew some of your answers because I’ve been following you for so long
Loved this 💗 I really needed this, your videos somehow always help me calm down and relax! I like that you speak so slowly, your voice is very soothing 😍
Nana Kitano I think this is because of my father, always trying to be calm and look at the world through a lens of wisdom. I’m naturally more emotional so it helps bring me back down to earth. :)
Hey Jen! I feel like we have so much in common! I went through SO many similar situations and I'm also more of a night owl. I am NEVER an early bird even after having my kids! Thank you so much for sharing!! Keep up the great work!!
I always thought I was considered a 2nd gen kpop fan because dongbangshinki is 2nd gen, but I recently learnt that their first album was also released on TAPE?? that was shocking for me lolol.
Gosh I wish I could eat as much as my husband and stay thin XD That was certainly true when I hit my growth spurt but not anymore! I'm still working with my doctor on my thyroid issues and combined with being on birth control and antidepressants and I've been on calorie restriction + intensive exercise and I haven't dropped a single pound in a month... :'(
“NO I had some B pluses.. and a couple A minuses” this deserves some RESPECT!! I thought I’d be rolling in As but turns out I’m fully capable of getting Fs.. 🥴🥴
What is the lipstick? I love this shade, is it the same one from the February favourites because I really liked that one. Can you post what makeup you are wearing in the description box??
I had automatically assumed that your parents help out with kids because you NEVER looked haggard!! (Where as I always am, despite having only 1 child for now) Sorry for the assumption, but it is a compliment =P
JennyLisYang I really love ASOS petites, Topshop petites, and Nordstrom (they carry size 4 shoes and petite clothing). Sometimes I can find something lucky at Zara too!
