Hey! creator of that SpongeBob car here! A little background on this car for ya: This scheme was made in NASCAR '15 for a friend, meaning everything you see is made from scratch since you can't just import pictures. So technically yes, I did do it by hand, quite literally all of it 😂. Love the vid, and I think it super awesome you organized this for the community!

Yes, I used paper and Elmer's All-Purpose glue on my diecasts at 10:54. But that's all I got for decals for my customs, as well as Testors paint. On some, I keep the car as is, but just add the numbers and decals. Others have paint added to them to bring out more character. Some are based off cars that have run before, and some are completely original creations. You've got to work with what you have, and that's what I did. Maybe a clear coat over them would make them stand out a bit more. Not featured in this video is a concept design for a Kaulig #61 entry for Daniel Hemric, which is based off of AJ Allmendinger's win at the Indy Road Course in 2021. I actually hand-painted the coat design, then used paper decals for the numbers and other sponsors, the Xfinity #73 (which only had minor paintwork and different number decals put onto it and was created for a local racer at my short track), the Hot Wheels #67 Dodge (hand painted the blue and some of the explosions, then put the cars and other decals on it), and a custom #84 (hand painted in the rear quarter panel with black and placed with custom decals and numbers with the driver being Tyler Morgan from NFS Payback). The two cars that were featured in this video were the two best examples of both extremes of simple and complex. One was for another local racer, who unfortunately didn't get a full rookie season in at a higher level before he called it quits (two consecutive DNFs really did him in), and the other was a custom hand-painted car designed with the late great Paul Walker in mind (just in time for Fast X to be announced). I would have submitted my Mercedes E-class livery on the Toyota Camry nascar in Forza horizon 5 but i never finished it. The head- and taillights were finished but there was not actual sponsors or livery on it. Just a base coat and the lights. Maybe next time!
