Only a coward would not befriend the bugs and read them the story to entertain them! That aside, I've never read on a tree before. I can see myself doing that since there's a lovely cherry tree in my garden however I'll prob need some help with someone holding the book for me because it's a bit tricky to climb it while holding anything. That aside I can't wait to try that this summer while my family absolutely yells at me for evolving to a monkey again lol
I did the Backseat Reading growing up, and I'd get such book tunnel vision that the fam would have to rip the book from my hands in order to get my attention.
I as well am in the never comfortable club. I agree on the bug thing "But it's not comfy on the tushie" I loved and laughed at this perhaps a little too much
My go to reading position: On my side, pillows behind my back, under my head, propping up my tablet and between my knees, daughter breastfeeding and my arm under her head. I read only ebooks. The only time I get to read anymore is when she naps and I need to lay near her otherwise she wakes. She's a little clingy but I'm super happy about that.
9:45 my 10 yo niece crawled in my neck while reading. stayed there for a good 15min before I threw her of😂 she’s a gymnast and if I let her she woud’ve stayed there longer. She said she was quite comfortable. My neck wasn’t 😂
omg, why do I relate so much to Jesses reading problems. I constantly change to way I'm siting and I also convince myself that bugs are all over me when I sit outside.
2:40 OMG OMG That's me!! 😂 Can't believe I just appeared in your video! And I can do that because I practice gymnastics and usually I stay reading in that position for about 20 minutes lol
Great video as always Jesse!!😀👊 Anyways just wanted to say thanks for the compliment on my hair LoL (omg I can't believe my pic was in there!!) And also, I love your naming of reading positions 🤣👌👌
The moment when ur pic didn't get shared but u don't mind cause the video was hilarious and u still had so much fun watching ^^ And it was about time we get a name for reading- under-a-tree! 😉😊😊👏
ahh it was so exciting to see my picture, thanks for including it! I just really love heights. This picture was taken during my trip across the country. This was one of many rock faces I climbed to read on.
I remember watching a booktuber CassJayTuck back in the day. She had a video about reading positions called "How to read a book" it was a good laugh so relatable.
As a person with scoliosis who had back surgery-- I feel you with the back support! I need to be able to rest my back and not engage muscles to hold it up, without whatever I'm using for support being flimsy so I can still read upright.
The best part about reading since I've been able to (I'm not joking I was at a 4th grade level by the end of kindergarten) is you learn to block out noise, and since I would read in the car at a very early age now I never get car sick, I've read an ENORMOUS amount of books. Probably even more that Jesse has on his bookshelves. I love that I'm a natural born reader. It comes with the benefit of better ELA skills, and a better vocabulary, and just being smarter in general. ALL THE MORE REASON TO READ KIDS! (The first day of kindergarten. What a nice day! Unless you were me apparently, cause according to my mom the very first thing I said when I came home was "I still don't know how to read!" While on the verge of tears... so...) Also, 8:02 Christiiiiiiiiiiiine (Be More Chill)
8:27 In Elementary school, I used to have the master skill of reading and fully paying attention to the book but somehow also fully paying attention to the lesson. I WAS A GOD
My favorite place to read was on a bench swing. I used to swing while reading. Then a storm came and knock a tree down destroying the bench swing. Sadly, was never replaced.
I change my reading position often, but my fav positions are reading in bed, and back bed book. I don't have any trouble reading in the car (even with radio and talking, we have a large family, and noise is just kind of life).
“which now that I think about it Funko pops watching over me as I read kind of creeps me out, especially since I had a dream that all my funko pops came alive and murdered me-MOVING ON!” 😂😂😂😂
Jess, I love it when you upload a new video. It makes my day. THANK YOU!!!! I prefer reading ebooks because it's more comfortable to lie in bed while holding my phone than holding a physical book. And yep, I always read lying in my bed 😂
YOU ARE A KPOP STAN?? I already was liking you and your content and now I do even more! You've passed the vibe check, you have my approval, not that you need my approval but you've got it!😆🤭😂💜
The ladder lean is the first reading position I remember doing. It was my first time reading Harry Potter and we had gone to the blue mountains and I had to share a bunk bed w my sis. She made a friend at the hotel so while she was gone I would take out the book and stand on the ladder while reading 😅
