Actually you see this less now; I found that people liked relationship aspect of older shows like Wizards, Hannah Montana, etc. at least in the moment but current shows both done and still running seem to focus more on family and friends: Sydney to the Max, Ravens Home, Secretes of Sulpher Springs, Stuck in the Middle, Andi Mack, etc.

That's Latin America/South American TV in general though. The audience there is okay with non-consensual encounters; they use them as major plot points at the expense of female characters routinely.

I totally agree. It made no sense that he didn’t get into Yale. It made for a cute scene when he still wanted Bailey to go to Yale without him, but it would’ve been better if they found out it was a mistake or something after and he actually did get in.

I find the Cody deserved to Yale part funny only because we have people now complaining how Disney Channe characaters always went to amazing colleges but when a charcated finally doesn't achieve something that's overlooked..also idk I think it was okay he didn't get to go to Yale because he realizes that prestige from a college totally doesn't define him but like at the same time i wish they could have fleshed that out because it was the last episode.

Suite life is way more iconic than on deck for a reason, better characters and it was funnier.

Guys she’s had major surgeries before she was ever on Disney channel. Her face looks completely different, MY problem with that is that she got the surgeries as a teenager which is wrong for a number of reasons

@Jasmine L. if you get surgery while you’re still developing that’s an issue bc your face is currently changing regardless. The surgeries they get might make a problem they wanted to go away worse in that way. Also there’s a reason there’s suppose to be an age limit. besides the fact that it’s incredibly dangerous and invasive, it is argued teenagers (especially younger ones) don’t fully understand what they’re signing up for so they might not get plastic surgery for the right reasons

Thing is I don't want the cycle to continue, you don't have to watch the shows but I wish people would be open to them. Now people rarely give new shows a chance and they can't flourish like on the past because mainly the older generation is influencing the younger generation that their shows are better. That and yes some current shows are not that great but that doesn't take away from the quality shows as well.

There only two episodes from the first season on Disney Plus. Literally all my favorite episodes had to get taken down. (I won’t specify why because it’s very easy to google and then figure out and just… yeah.)

I used to like andi mack but i realized it just some overdramatic soap opera starting from when i unstanned ash*r angel(jonah beck’s actor hes just rly cringe and problematic now)and idk i did used to like it but now even tho there are teen drama shows that i like, am just feels like disney trying too hard to basically make their own cw/freeform show💀

TBH, I think Disney Channel has been in sort of a second renaissance since 2017.

@@SpectrumStorms I agree but it's a mixed Renaissance; they have been making decent shows like Stuck in the Middle, Andi Mack, Sydney to the Max, Ravens Home, Secrets of Sulpher Springs, etc. And new animation like the old days like Big City Greens, the Owls House and Amphibia...BUT THEN they seem to back track and keep or introduce new shoes that are frankly not that great (Just Roll with It, Coop and Cami Ask the World, Bunkd half of the time, etc.). So people then only focus on mediocre shows and don't look at the good shows that have had potential. It's one step forward and two back. It's frustrating...nothing against the actors in any of these shows though..

@@hlabhlabhlab All I got to say is: - Bunk'd needs to end (Even though I do like it more without the Ross kids, it's run its course). - Jessie takes up far too much of the schedule and should be taken off. - Just Roll With It ended production back in November, according to one of the directors on Instagram (Shame as I really enjoyed it). - Coop and Cami got cancelled the same day Upside Down Magic premiered.

Honestly the actors are decent and deserve to be on better new shows with their own plots and not ones that were epassed down to the like old hand me downs. I don't think Jessie should be fully taken off...but they need to reduce playing it to promote more shows. I think it has a lot to do with Cameron Boyce's death which I understand, rest in peace but almost every show form that era does not get any attention except them. I am kind of glad Just Roll with It is ending..I mean I tried to like it but I was like "what is this?". I have a question, why do you like it? These kinds of game shows have been on Disney bedore but their game show style shows never last that long. And also I feel bad for the kids (one even once like my comment being annoyed by people just talking about wanting old Disney back 🙄) because again they put them on this show.

@@skylergrace5068. Ever after high was a show. They have seasons with episodes. Each season does have an hour (like a movie), but it's design to be a series (including cliffhangers by the end of each episode).

I feel like it's hard to make a comparison given that from my knowledge they don't really make a lot of latin american shows (and also comparing shows made my multiple coutnries versus one) and there are way more Ameircan shoes in comparison. Also the demographics are different but I do believe there are some elements of Latin Disney Channel that could go over well with a broader audience in the USA.

I feel like Disney talks one step forward and there back; they have made meaningful interesting shows in the past few years but then they make one or two that are not great and promote the heck out of them..then you are like "why". Also they should do more shows with older teenagers like in the past (not saying never work with middle schoolers but you can do more with teens).

I agree but also remember that back in the day (very early 2000s) they had quite a bit of animated shows so it's weird how they are going back to that but also nice because some of their animated shows are pretty good. At one point they barely had animated shows and it was mainly older teen sitcoms (late 2000s, early to mid 2010s).

@@hlabhlabhlab I grew up on early to late 2000s Disney and there were definitely more animated shows in early then people realize (Proud Family, Kim Possible, Emperors New School, LILO & Stitch are the main ones I can think of right now) plus Lizzie McGuire had the animated “conscience” so it was partially animated. Even with them going to to that style of heavy animated I can still see the want for some live actions that don’t feel like they’re for 10 year olds.

@@haydenfaithh I understand, I appreciated watching shows about teenagers or a cast with mixed ages, even though many were unrealistic; you could have more fun plots that way and utilize people more.

Yeah, every time I turn on the Disney channel, I see big city greens. I don`t watch that, so I find it annoying I`m always seeing it on. Lol

I feel like this applies more to the telenovelas than the American shows, but yes. Nina and Eric is the worst case, but also Mo from Lemonade Mouth (and Charlie, he ends up with a girl who's onscreen for like 5 seconds), and everyone in Girl Meets World. Everyone.

@@sophier8613 yeah it might be seen mostly in telenovelas, but as you wrote yourself, it does also apply to American shows as well. The worst about Nina/Eric is that the show had a great opportunity to let a character be single - and yet still important even without a love interest. Generally, I will always be disappointed in how poorly Nina was treated after season 1. She deserved so much more..

That is the problem with Niric. With Gaston, it happened so naturally. Nina started to write to express herself and that caught the eye of her long-term crush. She did not start Felicity because of Gaston.

I partially agree. Also with Miraculous I believe that in the animation department Amphibia and Owl House in particular are quite good shows that give off a gravity falls vibe. In the live action department I feel the shows Secrets of Sulpher Springs, Stuck in the Middle, Andi Mack, Sydney to the Max (there is more but I am not typing it all out) are good shows with decent potential. Sundry to the Max is okay but kind of boring and Ravens Home is enjoyable even though there is the nostlaigia factor. I also feel like another problem they have is lack of promoting shows that would be pretty good and instead promote stuff like Bunkd (which needs to end) and Just Roll with It (that God it's over). I also feel like they should go back to having older acrors because while we have had many shows with younger actors, older actors had meow randge and could have more interesting plots..

@@prettygirl6994 Thanks for seeing my point of view. Yeah their animated stuff is pretty good but very underrated, i even heard they are making a new animated show. I still wanted them to make a new series with teens in it to draw older people in .they really need too. Also with films they need to stop the musicals...I like them but give us something like Buffalo Dreams, Cloud 9, maybe Let it Shine/Camp Rock/First Cheetah Girls (not a musical but a movie that is about music, there is a difference), a sports Dcom.

And no offense to some of the new chsrcaters but we did not really need them or talk about werewolves and the thing is, I think Disney is afriaf they can't profit as much from a more regular movie or a music movie that's not a musical which is sad because they used to produce quite a few movies each year...at least three..but now they only dedicate it to one film per year... She kind of did to an extent because those achievements were still hers even if they were technically Hannah's (though I kind of get the other side of her not deserving it). Lily, well we do see her study on screen and she seems more dedicated to the academic side of school than Miley due to being more of a normal kid so maybe she did deserve it..those two mean girls though..yeah not really but it was nice to see them back.

Amber and Ashley’s parents probably were legacies and trust fund kids. Their parents probably pulled some strings to get them into Stanford

The show actually addressed that, that's why they broke up... unfortunately we didn't have the third season, which would be Chad's redemption...

In the 3rd season, Chad would have had a redemption arc. Being with Sonny was already changing him some, when he started treating her castmates better and after they broke up, he would have learned his lessons and changed for the better before they got back together

Dude being loyal isn't toxic the only thing I didn't was him being selfish at the end that's about it here!
