I disagree as well there are sooo many brands and it seems I'm a different size for everyone. If I ask for measurements I usually buy though and I've had ppl who have asked and bought from me. Also it does help others who come onto the page after the fact 😅

I try to look at it that way until how much time I invested in sourcing listing and re listing. But you’re right a profit is a profit. 👍🏼

It's always good to include measurements. Not all size let's say 10, are the same measurements (even within a brand). It can be absolutely frustrating even when shopping at the store. The person that asks for the measurements, but don't buy...because the measurements wasn't what they wanted/needed. But that question being answered, might help make a sale to someone else.

@@dmreddragon6 True. I've had people ask and respond that the item is too big. This is always nice. I don't mind a little banter on Posh. I've also had people ask for measurements when they are already posted. I still respond but find it odd. I think the 'Measurement Troll' concept is a little tongue in cheek because it often doesn't lead anywhere.

there's no reason not to include photos with a measure tape of the basic measurements. i'm wondering if people who feel annoyed by "measurement trolls" just don't do this? i think most efficient resellers include these types of photos. i do, and i rarely have anyone messaging me for measurements that arent pictured. maybe once in a while. idk, seems worth it? lol. like... a no brainer.

you and me are in the same gang, friend. Imho Posh is a huge time waster and race to the bottom on prices. it's a gamified platform for people with too much time on their hands. unless you're selling very high end merchandise, like Jack does, Posh is a sunk cost situation. I still list on there and make a handful of sales, but pales in comparison to my Ebay sales. I hate to sound like a jerk, but Ebay isn't that complicated to figure out for people with a basic sense of organization and small business. If someone finds Ebay confusing in general, tbh I have no idea how they'd manage to run any business at all. They make it very easy to build the business you need to run, that suits you, on their platform. Poshmark is probably best thought of as a hobby for stay-at-home moms who spend all their time on "side-hustle" and coupon clipping blogs and channels. I know I'll get hate for saying that, but after being on ebay for years and Posh for less time, I can only report from my own experiences.

I love selling on eBay and have no desire to try Poshmark.

i've never once had that happen to me, and i've never had "item as not described" - my feedback is full of positive reviews that say "item as described" or "item as pictured" - this might be tough love but in my experience of many years on ebay, 75% of sellers are lazy lazy lazy and their listings are garbage. i think what you are talking about only happens to people who are lax with disclosing flaws in their listings, or not showing measurements, and if that happens, that's on them. if you're thorough with your listings (flaws, showing the measurements in the photos, clear well-lit photos) and clearly state your policies and describe the item, you don't have these problems! at least, i sure as heck do not. but then again, i'm not lazy.

Totally agree. Out of three shipments in total I sent them, they lost at least one item in two of them! Never again!

They lost one of mine one time. I had to reach out to them about it, but I got compensated. I was kind of happy they lost it, because it was a lot of sportswear things they would have priced low, so I got paid pretty well for everything. I'm sorry that happened to you though.

Do you show measurements in your listings? I do and I don't get these questions. I don't get people who don't show measurements. Why would you go to the trouble to send a passive-aggressive email full of "gobbledygook" instead of just ignoring the email? I don't understand people.

@@helpfulcommenter the closest one to me is in Chattanooga in a not so great area. I lived in Chattanooga for 28 years and oh the stuff that went on there. Between the d dealers and call girls it was just filthy. I know not all of them are like that. I’d love to find one that’s closer that’s not so bad.

I live outside of the Atlanta and we don’t have a bins even close to us in Atlanta. I wonder why they don’t have one here but I’m guessing they don’t have one here because the crime rate in Atlanta is horrible.

You can't sell them because they don't sell anymore. Old news. There's 54k+ listed on Ebay ffs, that's a glut of a glut. I dont know why anyone would even touch them to resell. They have a 29% STR for crying out loud lol. DO. NOT. TOUCH. They haven't been selling well for at least a year, adn are always marked up in thrifts. Don't bother. Unless they are flares. Save your money for brands like Vuori, Public Rec, etc, that ACTUALLY sell.

I grab every pair of men's shorts I can find that aren't marked up, they sell within a week, without fail. Men's shorts, pants, and metal vent tech t-shirts. Jackets too, though those are rare. Just check the sell-through rate before you buy stuff. Lululemon womens leggings as a broad category are 29% STR while if they have "flare" in the title it's 56% (still not good enough for me to pick up) As a comparison, men's lulu shorts are, currently, and pre-owned only, 104% STR! Which is why I always ALWAYS grab them. Metal vent tech shirts are 100%. Pants are 135%!!!!!!!!! It's nothing but a numbers game. Supply and demand. Happy selling!
