It is about his two personalities. The king is the arrogant one, where he has become today. The peasant is the hungry, ambitious artist, where he once was and where he ultimately wants to go. In one of his lines he says all he's accomplished but his next goal is to "comeback down to earth and have his feet feel the ground. The subjects and the executioner are his fans, they helped him become the king but he not only takes them for granted (ie, stepping on them) but also kills them for his pleasure. That's why you see them rocking their heads in support at the end of the video and give the peasant self the gun. The peasant is also from the future because he uses futuristic things such as a gun and a car. It is a metaphor that says "if ì move forward into the future, I must go back to my roots and kill who I am today, because I have become complacent." Well that's what I see.

as far as I can understand the video tells the story of a single person with 2 different paths he may take. be a king that stands above all. or a commoner who is down to earth. At the end he choose to become the humble one as it will overcome those who stand above and will be more successful.

The Tyrant King represents the Suga now who is living in the palace (big house) money people bow to him when he gets out etc. The peasant AgustD represent the Suga that he wants to be. He might be a king but a humble and grounded one. The butcher and the executioner is the same person who together with AgustD has been planing to kill the tyrant king. The old ways of the tyrant King is no match to the gun of the new AgustD who remains the boss for the people. And yes the two men fighting in the market was Tom and Jerry who is better known as Jin and Jungkook. Neway AgustD aka Suga wants you to enjoy the visual and auditory of the mv more than the lyrics. Side note the part were AgustD took the key from the only woman in the group represents the ARMY and the six men represents BTS. And the gun that was used was a Colt ARMY. Suga thinks the ARMY are the ones protecting him and the rest of the group. Cheers.

The part where you said you wish you knew hanja, the scroll was actually a drawing of their boss Bang Sihyuk PDnim (drawn by a member Jungkook previously in their group variety show. Yes, it was two dots and a curved line.) There was a Chinese word at the bottom which reads Wu （舞） or 춤 in Korean aka dance (the lyrics was like our bang sihyuk PDnim dance dance dance dance dance dance and that's where it came from)

Regarding the story: Yoongi (SUGA aka Agust D) said that the blonde haired Agust D (king) is his past self from the 1st mixtape who was full of rage, greed and wanted power. Hence his past self (king) is set in a VERY past timeline (Joseon Dynasty). Black haired Agust D (commoner) is the present day Yoongi who is now grounded and has achieved what he sought out to do. Therefore, he is KILLING his old self or past. If you notice, the king has a FRESH scar because he has not healed while the commoner's scar has healed.

The tyrant king (maybe a Min Yoongi alter ego) ordered the beheading of Agust D (another Min Yoongi alter ego), but when fell on his knees in front of the executioner Agust D started to sing his song that infects all those people they start shaking their heads in time with the music and it also infects the executioner who, instead of killing Agust D, cut his bonds and helps him kill the tyrant inside him. This is my own interpretation!
