Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another masterful performance by Angelina - this time in collaboration with Alan Walker & his amazing song writing. Another Angelina performance that you need to check out is her acoustic cover of Wake Me Up (her tribute to her friend Avicii). If you haven't heard the original before, I highly recommend that you check that out first - as Angelina's arrangement is very different (she slows down the song & adds her own special emotional impact - similar to her Suspicious Minds arrangement). If popularity was just a function of talent, IMHO Angelina should be the most popular artist in the world.

She should at least be up there but unfortunately there are many other factors that go into popularity. Timing, exposure, promotion. There are and have been many artists that deserve much more popularity than some popular artists today or from the past. Other than he AGT performance, and probably her NGT performances to a lesser extent, Angelina has been kept pretty much under the radar. She had the appearance on The View and Little Big Shots but in between she had pretty much been invisible to the general public. Even now people who may have seen her on AGT may have forgotten about her by now. Hopefully with release of her EP there will be the big promotional push that we have been expecting.

@@pjg58x Angelina has performed at high-profile events all around the world for the past 10 years - One of her big events was opening Quincy Jones's 85th Birthday Concert with Fly Me To The Moon - Quincy personally invited her to open the show. I think where you might be led astray on Angelina's popularity is that most of her appearances have been outside of the U.S. - she has fans all around the World.

But she did her own arrangement when she sang it in one of her performances at a jazz festival. The only other two are “A Song for A” and “Fly Me to the Moon” at the Quincy Jones 85th Birthday Celebration.

@@nfpnone8248 Yes that is correct - Angelina did her own version at the jazz festival in 2017 - However, another time Angelina didn't have control of the arrangement was when she performed with the Sand artist and violin player on AGT - Here is the rehearsal footage where you can tell that someone else is in control of the arrangement (watch until the end) but in the final performance, Angelina did sneak in a couple of her "Angelinaisms": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uVzPoOFB3Y4.html

Maria, Angelina was the guest singer of Alan Wallker's special arrangement of these two songs in which he added the strings and brass to his usual arrangement for his homecoming. So Angelina had no hand in this arrangement as far as I know. Alan Walker's original music video of Faded has 3.4 BILLION views on YT -- so it was a little bit popular when it came out.

Alan Walker was just 18 years old for this concert and his song "Faded" had already been streamed over a billion times. This concert was titled "Heading Home" since it took place in Bergen, Norway which is Alan's hometown. Angelina, as always, sang beautifully and the crown sang along.

There are so many emotions that run through us when we listen to her sing 'for us'. One in particular which stands out in this video is how absolutely PROUD we are of her. This is not exactly the type of audience she was accustomed to singing for but she held her own and you can tell the audience had no problem listening to and singing along with a 10 year old. I believe she opened the Show so as to not keep her up too late! Yes, that was a consideration. In regards to her performing 'sick' what we are talking about is when she had a cold and it occurred several times, if she was determined to perform she sang through it and her voice is so rich you could hardly pick up any sign that she was ill. And of course her poise and confidence is on full display in this video. She is doing what she loves to do. Singing, of course, but most importantly to bring joy, happiness, hope and love to anyone who listens to her. She has no boundaries: Gender, age, color, language, religion, occupation, wealth, musical preference, it doesn't make any difference. Opera lovers to Rap lovers stop what they are doing to listen to her. Musicians are in total awe of her (yes, all of this at 10 years old) and the finer the musician the more they realize she is a musical genius. Thank you for a very nice reaction. Your thoughts were varied and numerous and it was a pleasant 19:07 listening to you.

When reading the coment about Angelina you have to remember that she has been some sort of a legend for many years. As for all legends there are a lot of misinformation ( not verified information ). At 10 yo she had more experience doing concert around the world then most singers.

Angelina, now 17 years old, is already a star today, and among other things sings the official song for the next FIFA championship. Her EP will probably be out next week. She has also sung the title track to the film "Hating Game - with the song Mercy" She was also specially invited to sing in the O2 Arena in London for Quincy Jones's 85th birthday. She has also sung during the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She has started the concert for Norah Jones and sang in front of 40,000 in South Korea. She has sung on " Germany's Next Topmodel" specially invited by Heidi Klum. She has published a book at the age of 10, which made her Norway's youngest author. The list is much much longer ... and she was signed by one of the world's biggest record companies "Republic Records" only 14 years old Same label as Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift and so on.

Both songs, Sing Me To Sleep and Faded, both massive hits for him, were redone and rearranged by Alan Walker himself. Both of these songs were actually EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and sound totally different from his originals. Both songs had different female singers. He felt Angelina would sing both of these songs really well and asked her to join him. I believe Alan at this time was 18 and Angelina was 10.

Alan Walker, the pianist and headliner of this show wrote the songs. Angelina 2as his invited guest vocalist. I assume he performed his own arrangement. :) Her rendition of Faded is one of my favorites.

Great reaction! Yup, it is easy to forget her age when listening to her, that's for sure. As for her future, I'm totally sure that she will become a household name like MJ, Then we have MJ and AJ. Quincy, who produced MJ's first three albums has drawn parallels between them, saying that AJ is the biggest talent that he has seen since Michael. I guess you know by now, but Quincy personally invited Angelina to perform at his 85th birthday celebration in the O2 Arena in London. Angelina WILL make it. And time, as always, will show. Angelina will be a "Household Name" in in the future, I think about 5 years. The Mega-Grammy winning Quincy Jones, who produced Michael Jackson's biggest albums & he told Angelina the the World will know her name. He invited her, at 12 yo, to open his 85th Birthday Concert at the 02 Arena in London. She sang "Fly Me To the Moon" using the arrangement Quincy wrote for Frank Sinatra, who made the song famous.

In addition to the live audience, this was a global Netflix live stream concert. Talk about pressure! In Alan's YT video, said he created new restrung versions of his songs for this concert in more of a movie theme genre. His genre had been EDM. Don't know if Angie has any input in these two arrangements. Alan works with vocalists. Alan allowed her to sing Faded in her concerts the following summer in Norway.

Alan Walker is actually Norwegian, and this is his gig. She's very much a trouper, but the "boss" doesn't do her very best work in somebody elses bus. But 80 percent of AJ still outshines nearly everyone on the planet. The arrangement and orchestrations are all Alan Walker. The names of the songs are "sing me to sleep" and "faded" two of Walkers biggest hits wilth other female singers.

The original songs are more EDM. Alan Walker rearranged them in an orchestral style for this concert and specifically asked Angelina to sing them because felt her voice would fit this style.

The Arrangements were Alan Walker's, however, he did not modify Angelina Jordan's voice at all. If you notice, on these two songs, with other singers; he modified their voices, some quite a bit in the choruses, and with Angelina Jordan, he left her voice as is. Alan Walker is an EDM/dance DJ, and that means almost everything is almost electronic. He completely restrung an orchestra, and had the person he thought best to be the voice, Angelina Jordan, to complete it for his Coming Home concert of 2016, in Bergen, Norway. Now, she did stick to his arrangements during this Alan Walker concert, however, she changed it, and makes it slower and completely tears the emotion out of you, for the last couple of times she sung Faded at her concerts.

Really enjoying your videos Maria. All is going great! Heading home is the title of this concert. Sing me to sleep is the first song. The second song is Faded. Faded is an internationally renowned song that has somewhere around 1 to 2 billion views! Alan Walker is a Norwegian producer and musician and yes is the one playing the piano. He did all arrangements for his own songs here.

Maria ❤ loving your videos and super cool kitty. Introduce us please. AW Reminds me of Santana. They both create the sounds that are unique to their music. Santanas guitar is unmistakable. Alan is a giant in Europe with fans worldwide. A supremely talented DJ who knows well how to entertain and captivate his fans. IMH opinion Angelina is sought after for obvious reasons and always will be. ANGELINA can sing almost anything anytime and bring the house down.

The arrangements are Alan Walkers, but he may have had Angelina in mind...Also consider, even though Alan Walker is a modern composer he still has the feel of Old Norwegian Melodies, which would seem perfect for Angelina. Like Peer Gynt opus.

For what I did understand: Allan Walker did write and compose the songs and Angelina did perform it. I don't think she had influence on the arrangements in this case: she was invited to sing his music. And I think that it would have had more jazz/soul in it when it was otherwise. But...only Angelina can tell. And I don't think she was sick here. When you are sick you do not have that expression on stage. What I know: she again did a great job and this is proof she can handle other genres as well as she can jazz/soul.

She had a 102 fever before going on and had a sore throat ,, this is a note the her voice let go but she still pulled it off with most never knowing ,, I actually had to look up who Allen Walker also but It's funny how That side of the world he is a super star and yet he his a Super fan of a 10 year old.... he loves AJ singing his songs because he said "She makes them sound Good"

I've been following her for years and never heard that she was sick for this concert. She was sick, however for other concerts and insisted to going on despite the doctor's recommendations. I do not know if she changed the songs for this concert. Alan Walker is very popular in Europe. I like Faded better than Sing me to Sleep. Alan Walker does not sing.

@@CarlD70 Thanks Carl. It's like the rumour that she is deaf in her right ear. Just google it up. It's the first thing that comes up. It was mentioned in an article last fall that was so full of nonsense it made me think the author must have been drunk or he/she mixed up 2 different artists and merged them in one article.
