There are other "cell phone" versions out there, which Toby did not even bother trying to control, but THIS VERSION - the actual JESSE AND FRIENDS Live Stream from the HOTEL CAFE in LA - he held tight to for weeks. I waited as Patiently as I could - I think I only emailed him 4 times in that time period with "questions". It’s called “The Hotel Cafe”, but it’s neither a hotel nor a cafe. It’s an intimate live performance club with a small stage. A bar along one wall. Holds maybe 200 people crushed in tight. Believe me, no one would want to go barefoot there! Probably shards of broken beer bottles permanently embedded in the floor! Still, it’s a cool place to see a show.

I think if this song gets some promotion when it is released in a few months (Sept?), it may be her ticket to mass exposure. Once people hear of her, they will check her out & discover a treasure trove of Masterpiece vocal performances, from a decade of music production. Then she's off to Superstardom, which she has sought since she was a young child.
The instrumentation was just beautiful...love those strings. There are so many supers to this pre-release. A jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip. Her belting here was otherworldly! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music.

This is pure Billie Holiday infused jazz, which Angelina has mastered with regard to all its complexities of musicality that were invented by Billie. Another student of Billie was Amy Winehouse, and other than these three improvisational jazz artists, I can't think of any other one who could do justice to this song like Angelina has done.
