She’s a complete prodigy, and it shows in the speed of how she progresses. She learns in months where it normally takes people years of work to do, if at all sometimes. Please listen to the these next three songs of her NGT competition, just to be able to watch a prodigy in her element. The second song is I’m A Fool To Want You, then the third song is Bang Bang I Shot You Down, and finally, the final song and to end the competition, she sings Summertime. It’s fantastic if you’re looking at the progress, but she’s incredible with all her songs, regardless! 🥰

Thank you for your reaction. If one don't no Angelina very well how she adapts her voice for a specific song and genre one will think that's how she can sings and her voice range. Then you hear her sing another song and you have to change your opinion about her voice. Listen to her at 6 and her performance of "I who have nothing" in a studio.

You hit it right on the head! It was everything, fun, joy, love ,amazement, adoration and an emotional feeling which your heart was sending to your body in the form of goosebumps and tearing up (with an urge to cry). She is so consuming some people find it hard to speak intelligently during or rIght after she sings FOR YOU. Thank you for a wonderful video reaction to Angelina's performance. Yep, this was the video which introduced Angelina to the world and she has continued to sing but under a protective wing to preserve her youthful years and to gain an education that is of the utmost importance. Now at 17 she has graduated secondary school and she is about ready to 'bust loose" and realize her dream of singing to all the people in the world.

I love her rendition of "Bang Bang" that she performed on Norway's got talent.

Thanks for taking the time to go back to Angelina's NGT audition & including the interview & judges reactions. Another very nice reaction to & appreciation of this amazing performance by Angelina. While she seems a little nervous answering the judges questions - once she starts singing, she is like a seasoned pro - at 7 years old (& singing in English). Some have asked why Angelina went on NGT at age 7. Well - even though Angelina wanted to go on when she was younger, 7 was was the minimum age. Looking forward to more of your Angelina reactions. I highly recommend her remaining 3 NGT performances - I'm A Fool To Want You, Bang Bang & Summertime. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.

They speak Norwegian in Norway but most kids learn at least two of the Nordic languages in school, English is often encouraged to learn there as well

Angelina was very focused even then. When she said she wanted to be a superstar, it wasn't a dream, it was a plan. And she took the first step up the ladder with this audition. Steadily, she climbed, song by song, until now she is within reach of her ambition. Thank you for reacting to this moment in history. I have a feeling it will be replayed many many times over during the coming decades!

I really hope you react to the next three in this competition, you will be astounded at the improvement she makes in just a few months. The second one was “I’m a fool to want you” which she had to sing a Capella without an audience. The next was “Bang bang” Nancy Sinatra, and lastly “Summertime” a totally captivating performance.

By the way, she could belt at 6! There is a video of her first time in a recording studio singing “I who have nothing” by Shirley Bassey. She is reading the English lyrics while singing and although she mixes some words in one line (understandably, I’m pretty sure not many people can read and sing in a foreign language at 6!), it is a lovely thing to witness.

😊Yeah her voice was certainly pretty advanced and impressive. But for sure this one is about the adorable kid, the musicality and feel for singing, the adult techniques, and the fearlessness. "when you're ready". Immediately turns to the sound guy and gives the thumbs up. I'm amazed most of all by the restraint. By 9 she could unleash, even 8 comparatively, but at 7 she crafted her best sound with the tools she had and went exactly as hard as she could effectively go in the subdued and interesting style of Billie Holiday.

NGT went on for several months, so Angelina ended up with 4 songs in the competition, Two things I noticed, 1) the huge leap in performance technique in the three remaining performances, and 2) you get to see her other front tooth come in! Few people get to see the birth of a superstar, so I am very thankful to witness that. You are doing a great job BTW.

"I mean, at 7, I'm pretty sure I was playing, digging dirt with a stick." You gave me a pretty good laugh with that one! Same for most of us, I'd guess. I'll bet that Angelina engaged in plenty of regular childhood activities too back then, but stick a microphone in her hand ... and, voila! Presto, chango, she becomes a pint-sized diva. Thumbs up to the stage crew, flip the hair behind the shoulder, ready for business. Most have never heard Billie Holiday sing this and really should listen to it for comparison. Really incredible. She was very talented then but she had also worked very hard to develop her skills, even then. At 7 she had already been singing for 5 years and in the studio for at last 2 years. She knew what she wanted and she went after it.

Emotional version of a powerful song... I very much hope Angelina, even now, at 17, has no personal experience with the subject matter of this song... and pray she never will. Brought tears to this old man's eyes.

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RU-vid before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷

They speak Norwegian - this derived from Old Norwegian or Norwegian Norse, much like English descends from Old English. There some Norwegians who settled in costal France across the channel from England. These Norse .. or "North Men" .. or Normans .. after a time spoke Norman-French which they brought to England in 1066 .. which then merged with the Anglo Saxon to form Old English (cut me some slack rivet counters .. I am being very free with the history).

Maria, hello. I seem to be catching up with your reactions. You are embarking on perhaps the second song I heard her sing when I first discovered Angelina Jordan. It is still a favorite and it makes me feel happy. You should find the Billy Holiday version and compare with this performance. Now you see the platform from which she springs. THE LADY CRYING WAS HER MOTHER

This was in an interview on a Norwegian tv channel with one of the judges Omer Bhatti who is the youngest judge on this video. At first all the judges thought that the girl is extremely talented but after the show the judges thought that it might be that the girl is extremely good in mimicking and that is all she was. Not the great talent they thought at first. But then they thought they go in and check on her when rehearsing when they saw her instructing the bass player of the band, and at that moment they knew she is the real deal. 7 year old Angelina instructing a band, can you believe that? Never heard something like this.

After listening to all her NGT performances, this was my least favorite. I listened to her sing this perhaps 6 or 7 times. Then I listened to Billie Holiday... I was in tears... Literally sobbing... Only then did I understand Angelina... Understand why the judges were in tears... True, she's an "old soul". But, it's more.... She's a conduit to the world for all that's magical in music..... At the end of NGT a judge expressed his amazement at her being only 8... "Just imagine, 10 years from now when she's 18." Whatever he was imagining then, he was wrong... She's even better.... "Its Magic".
