I love Angelina's cover of this song. It always makes me tear up because there is so much emotion coming from a 10yr old, and can't believe that a pre teen touches my soul in that way. I have heard Roberta Flack's cover of this song and it's pretty awesome but it does not hit me like Angelina's rendition. Some will compare this version with Roberta Flack's version and you really can't compare. Roberta recorded this song in 1968 when she was 37 or maybe 38yrs old and a seasoned professional singer of many years. Angelina was 10 here and as able to pull off a strong emotional connection with the lyrics at 10yr old!! I don't know of any other 10yr old that would be able to project this kind of vocal and touch people's hearts.
Number one she has unbelievable talent. And when she sings she puts her soul into it. She doesn’t just sing. She feels the music and words. That’s why she’s so different and wonderful.

She has something that is just indescribable about her voice. It's just so unforced, so natural, so real. The way she makes it look so easy... I always think, "why does no one else sing like this?" I guess it must just be so much harder than one would think to sing from your soul like that. After listening to Angelina, other singers (even some of the "greats") seem to be missing something that she has.
Angelina wonderfully adapts her voice for every song and mood. So wonderful to hear her interpretation of this beautiful song. She paces herself well. I love that she allows only an accoustic guitar to accompany her lovely voice. Almost an accapella. At thirteen years she has fantastic character and depth in her singing that it is always a joy to listen to her.
Crime....to stop Angelina Jordan from singing in the middle of a song and in particular this song! Thanks Emerson for staying the course. Copyright evaluators today are machines that can't really evaluate what a reaction is. A reaction is as much on the face and feelings conveyed as it is in the words. There should be a different criteria for this extraordinary talent.
Ha, ha, ha. Great comment! Except you forget to tell us how many CDs the others had sold before they too became teenagers, or how many songs they wrote themselves and put out there, or how many children's books they wrote and published by the same age, or whether they also were proficient on piano, violin and flute as Angelina is. But that's okay. I imagine that by the time she gets to the age of say, Madonna, she'll have pushed well past every one of those sales numbers that you listed. And she is indeed the winner of our hearts.
Numbers of CDs are not really relevant for comparison in this online music age. I read somewhere that by 2018 Angelina had sold roughly $US1million of her music
By the time Angelina is 25 people say i vaguely remember those artists but Angelina fixed their songs sang them how they were meant to be sung.I wonder how many people i just brassed off!

Angelina Jordan is a phenomenon as is Daneliya Tuleshova and Diana Ankudinova and it is getting hard for reactors to keep their work up but if you insert Disclaimers and brief comments at intervals it should help a lot , if you restart the video at the point you pause it then the flow of the performance will be fine , I hope you continue the good fight because you are one of the best Emerson :) :) :) .

With each passing day it is more hard to make reaction videos, youtube treats us (reactors) as criminals, we are not criminals, I think something should be done about it otherwise, unfortunately I think the channels of reactions tend to end up (Maybe that's what RU-vid wants after all), I hope I'm wrong about that. my personal opinion is that youtube should create clearer rules on its platforms if they want the creators of reaction to continue on the platform because every video I post get copyrighted by songwriter, etc. It is frustrating and discouraging, I believe this also happens with other producers of reaction videos, this let me tired, I take in average 4 hours working in a normal video to later post it and then the video get copyrightet no matter what singer or who ar singing the song, this tires, discourages and frustrates and makes me feel like a criminal. Do not get me wrong, this happens in all the videos, it's not the singers fault. Sorry for the disturb, peace.
I don't know what it's like to have to deal with youtube, but I appreciate content creators like yourself keeping up the fight. Not sure what (if anything) we as viewers can do to change the way youtube does it, but if the opportunity ever arises, I will be on your side of the battle.
I know some people who are working for music artists and thus posting their videos on RU-vid etc. The rules have now become so strict these days that Google (owner of RU-vid) require a written consent by the owner of the song before you're allowed to upload a video. For my friends it's just a formality to get the consent, but it's a lot more bureaucracy. Is it possible to get written consent by Angelina's management to post reaction videos to her cover and original songs? I read that they are even getting advertising money for reaction videos so there is no need for them to not want to have reaction videos of videos they post. Maybe that can make it easier to post reaction videos. Some say that Google have made these new strict rules as a protest to the new EU article 13 copyright law which tells companies like Facebook and Google they have to pay the owner of a video or news acticle if they want to use it. Facebook and Google earn advertising money and EU want that some of this money should go to the creator (artist, journalist etc).
Beautiful song!! I believe she was 11 here. Maybe you will be forced to pause the video for a few seconds, and comment a bit in between. It could help against RU-vid removing them.
This is one of her early covers. It is beautiful but not her best. It shows potential. I think she was 10 or 11 in this. I like the guitarist she uses now.

Sorry, Emerson, not a big fan of this version. Don't get me wrong, it's great, and it still goes directly into my favorites folder, as do all of her songs, but I think it's inferior to the Roberta Flack version. If it's any consolation, I've been listening to her for about two years now - everything I could find - and this is only the second time I've found one (discounting the ones she did up to around 9 years old) that I didn't immediately say to myself: "Damn! This is possibly the finest version of this song I've ever heard." Like you, I consider her to be the best, most talented female vocalist of my lifetime, age notwithstanding. I was a musician in my own first career, and this was a song in my repertoire, so I know how hard it is to sing, and she does a truly remarkable job, but for me it isn't as good as the original Flack release. The only other song of hers that I had a similar reaction to was 'California Dreaming.' Again, she did a fabulous job of singing it, but I found her interpretation of the song to be a bit darker, and it lacked the sense of optimism and joy for the future still to come that Mama Cass Elliot and The Mamas and Papas were able to inject into what is, lyrically, a pretty depressing song. I haven't run into your reaction to that one (perhaps you haven't yet done one), but when you do and it pops up in my notifications, I'm going to be very interested in your opinion.
