REACTION! BABYMETAL - THE ONE (OFFICIAL) 

This was live footage (with footage from the previous night cut in) with the audio from the Japanese domestic album version. The international album version was entirely in English and they always do the full English version in all live shows (even in Japan) - or to be exact they do a mix of the 'unfinished' (acoustic) version and the full English version ... so in effect there are 4 versions of 'The One'. This was effectively their love letter to the fans (who they call 'The One' as well of course). They had seen their fans on their travels around the world singing along in Japanese, some of them learning Japanese to do just that, and they decided it would be right and proper for them to challenge themselves to learn to sing a complete song in English. 'The One' was the result of that. 'The One' was originally written as the second half of a song, but was split from the first half at some point in the process. The other song is 'Tales of the Destinies' and shares some themes with 'The One' but isn't a ballad, it is prog rock (it could be a tribute to Dream Theater ... Mike Portnoy - ex-drummer of DT tweeted to his son "Actually LOVE the new @Korn...and am BLOWN away by what you've played me of @BABYMETAL_JAPAN! "Tales of the Destinies" is full-on PROG METAL"). 'Tales of the Destinies' has been played live only one time - during BABYMETAL's Tokyo Dome shows where, over two nights, they played all of the songs from the first two albums. Nobody thought they could do it live because it is so technically complicated and contains so many time changes and that the girls wouldn't be able to do choreography either ... they were wrong.

The one is what they call fans as they are part of the worldwide one. As for reactions Rondo of nightmare with the intro is the opposite of this tone wise No rain no rainbow from Legend S concert is a ballad that hits really hard and can be found on the Babymetal RU-vid

Thats one of my all time favs. Great singin and what the hell of a harmonic guitar-solo!!! Im always close to tears with this song. They are just far beyond of only being cute. Sus voice just blows me away.

⚡ 💀 💕 / ▲ The video has footage from two back-to-back shows at Yokohama Arena, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour. The first night they debuted the song, the second night they flew over the audience. It has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version. Moa admitted in one interview that it was really hard to stick to the choreography, and not wave to all the people below. : ) This song goes on quite a bit longer in the concert footage. The pyramid has to travel back and get lowered to the stage. Oddly enough, since even this version has so much English, this is the only Official Video with English captions.

Live compilation of two night's performances at Yokohama Arena, 17,500 fans.

The issue you will find is that there are no filler tracks , and pretty much every track is a highlight... Essentially reacting to everything and then their non live school stuff, funny moments and what not, then wondering like everyone else why Yui metal is gone, etc. This band, even the looks like new was kicked off almost 10 years ago and so the journey on itself can't be resumed in the Legend 1997 concert ... I mean there's a few pretty epic concerts and their 2015 North American appearances in Metal fests was a boon. Let me suggest to check out Gimme Chocolate on Steven Colbert for a taste of how they blend in the North American TV scene, sadly no follow up interview there ..

As a song, for me it's a little too mellow to be on my playlist but like others have said, it was written as a love letter to the fans and that's just an awesome thing to do.

Definitely my favorite version of the song (with the bilingual lyrics). Good eye spotting the wrist strap on the mic and bonus points for the first Wii reference I've ever heard in a BABYMETAL reaction so far ; ) I had never noticed that myself but it makes perfect sense. It would be quite the situation if her mic accidentally slipped out of her hand from way up there.

You notice a lot of fine details in your Babymetal reactions and its usually stuff we (The One, as the Babymetal fan base is called and which this song celebrates) often take a few more watches to get. You noticed the gong appearing on Headbanger, Yui's ripped skirt on Imije, Dame, Zettai and now the wrist mike (that one was new to me). Keep it up. man, as we love any Babymetal trivia like that. Oh, and you spotted Pikachu too. Eagle eyes, man! Those girls were pretty brave to get swung around 30 feet above the crowd! The symbolism of the triangle is all 3 members of Babymetal are joined as one...or we are all the one and joined up, Or something.
