Miku is special..dispite her lack of guitar skill..(compared to seasoned pros at the time)...Zemaitis Guitars saw enough to know she was worthy of her own signature model!...How cool is that!?..Many pros don't get such an offer...They knew if they didn't get her while they had the chance...sooner or later someone else would..and they'd miss out on a great ambassador for their guitars...And what a band to have your guitars featured in!...Great move by them for sure...and for Miku....Long May They Reign!👑
I saw them October 2022. MISA, Miku, and Kanami all had a #1 they used for the show and a #2 for backup. Kanami used the red "Angry Larry" as her #1. It was dark and I couldn't really see but I think the other one was the green PRS, kept off-stage. MISA used her black Black Smoker and her #2 was another one behind her amp. Miku used two Flappy Pigeons; the #2 was behind Akane's kit. I didn't notice them changing tuning much; just quick corrections. They all had tuners on their pedal boards. Mu-chan checked Miku's tuning every time she did an MC.
Always love these documentaries. If you are going to delve back into some more Band-Maid clips, can I suggest that you have a good look through their other channel 'Instrumental Maid'. Thirty or so clips that are not usually reacted to. But are absolutely brilliant. Even a concert of about a dozen songs. And the full Lollapalooza show. Some of them aren't released anywhere else, like Youth, & Why, Why, Why. Others are alternative versions of songs we have all heard before. And some more White Room instrumentals. I really think all Madiacs will love you for it.
Miku not being able to play in the beginning made her be more flashy on stage to hide the fact she wasn't playing Now that she knows how to play she's not stiff on stage and more of a showman She the one that gives of that Rock Star vibe while on stage
DPG used to put a lot of covers of the songs guitar parts. So he had to breakdown both Miku and Kanami's parts and play them separately. Axe also does something similar as well on his channel. The management tried to shorten or even pull the omajinai time away but it managed to survive and the. Core fans expect it at the okyujis(lives). Wouldnt be the same without it.
From what I can remember, I believe that the first run of fifty Flappy Pigeon actually sold out, with many Band-Maid fans wanting to own one as well in spite of the high price- $5000?. Soon after another fifty guitars were made, which also sold out. At some shows during the recent US tours Flappy Pigeon owners met up with their guitars with about six appearing at one show. Note! There has been a bit of discussion about this, but- Mini Album- A CD with less than 30 minutes of music.
If I am remembering correctly, there were less than 250 of Miku's signature guitars made. I think it's less than 150, but I can't remember, and I can't find the file on my hard drive.
