@@mtaripurple I'd be very surprised if they did, it didn't get much radio play it only got 6 total spins on US radio during the time. Maybe at department store playlists perhaps like Walmart or Target (none of which count as spins on US radio). I remember seeing it on the Samsung commercial in the US.
We had a whole year plus a few months of lockdown. So many ppl commited s.u.i.cide. that's when I found BTS. Not that I had any problem with lockdown. I'm a big time introvert. Lockdown had no side effects on me. But it's heartbreaking to see the news of ppl passing away every day
Life Goes On was a comforting song for me. In Melbourne, Australia, we were in the longest lockdown in the Australia. It affected all of us so much. This song was like a matra, for me, to get through it. Even now it means so much as l have changed mentally because of covid and the lockdowns and the loss of it all.
Everyone’s Covid experience was different. I had to work because I was in healthcare but yeah, saw a lot of empty roads and hardly any families can visit the patients. For BTS, they had an entire world tour planned and it was cancelled. But they didn’t stop working. They continued to film and perform without audiences and made more and more content.
The BE album this song is from was a very interesting time for them and army. They weren't planning on making another album but they had a lot of down time so they decided to write about it and give comfort to fans who were going through the same thing. I have a lot of fond memories of this time despite the bad because they did several youtube logs during the making of BE where they would sit around on live discussing ideas for songs & ideas for the album art design etc. Even though they didn't give away too many details so as not to spoil any surprises, they gave just enough where personally I felt like I was in the room with them while they were making all these plans it was really cool. And they also did a lot of lives on an app called Vlive (they're company actually bought Vlive, it's called Weverse now but you can find all their old lives on it) where they would just hang out doing crafts, cook, or play games etc and would chat with army. It was really cool cuz there was a lot of army that literally could not go anywhere so it was a big comfort for them, I didn't experience much myself either cuz our area didn't even go into lockdown really but hearing other army talk about their situation it was really hard for some. Life Goes On and Dynamite were both on the BE album.
I'm back to this reaction “ running faster than a cloud of rain.” BTS always describe their passion for music and going forward their dreams as running. They were prepping for their concert but couldn't outrun the cloud of rain. They practiced for two months and were in their best shape. Everything was canceled. It prompts him to press the dust covered rewind due to the world of pain the world gave him, or everyone for that matter. I can relate.
A little late to the party, but one thing to note is that BTS's Map of the Soul 7 concert had to be cancelled at the beginning of Covid. So the empty stadium is also a reference to them missing and wanting to perform again.
Because of covid I was in online classes for almost 2 years🙃 at that time everyone was really having a hard time, including BTS. The members shared how they felt very stressed when their busy daily lives suddenly stopped in an instant. That's why they made Dynamite to share joy with the whole world and made Life Goes On to give hope. Dynamite is the first Korean artist's song to reach no. 1 on the Hot100 chart, while LGO is the first Korean song to reach no. 1 on the Hot100 chart. Funfact Jungkook is credited as a director in this mv
I think sometimes you might find parts of the song familiar because the song was used as background music somewhere - even if only a snippet of the song
I love the album BE that this and Dynamite came off of and this is my favorite track from it. It was just as hard for BTS as it was for ARMY for us to be separated. The plans they had been making for a year were suddenly all scrapped. Thanks.
Have you guys heard the chorus of the song life goes on in BTS' history video? Jungkook's part behind this song Because of Jungkook I directed this song myself. Thank you very much 🙏🏻 🏻💜
The song was on Samsung’s phones commercial. That’s from where I know it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H4ivT6RilMU.htmlsi=bzAHqnV3h-8IKjY0
During Covid we all faced the same storm but were in very different boats, some in yachts, some in kayaks, some with holes. Just crazy times BTS feel so deeply for the world and ARMY. It was hard to not go on the tour they had preppped so hard for. And if it’s that hard for them, imagine how hard for armies in worse situations. Because they think like this, their songs hold so much weight of understanding and can give the right kind of comfort. You can hear them sing each line acapella while describe the song lyrics in a special interview they did. They do have a sad song called : Blue and Grey. And it’s beautiful and haunting
Life Goes On was definitely meant to be "a hug" during the pandemic. This was actually released before the vaccines etc. were created and we still couldn't see a way out. BTS channelled their energy and frustrations into the BE album which describes their thoughts and feelings at the time and ends with Dynamite which was supposed to cheer us up. The MV was shot in their actual dorm at the time: JK's room, J-Hope and Jimin's room, common areas and țheir garden. A beautiful place that really shows how far they've come since sharing one tiny bedroom all seven of them together. 😅 On a personal note, LGO was their very first comeback song after I found them and they chose to drop it on my freakin birthday. Heck yes, I cried! Happy tears mind you. 😊👍 💜
They shoot some of the scenes at their last dorm/apartment where they all share. The bedroom scene was Jimin & J-hope's bedroom. JK directed this MV. You should watch the making of Life Goes On MV.
Im sure you probably have heard it in the mall or out shopping somewhere. I constantly hear all their stuff post 2020. Dynamite, Life Goes On, Butter, Permission To Dance and even JK's solo stuff.
this was not filmed in their home, they went to a place to film this video, like In the Soop was somewhere outside of Seoul; they rented the place out, because in Seoul there are not a lot of places that have yards, that’s why they either build up or down not out.
Valeu! Hello boys, how are you? Ah, "Life Goes On" I love this song so much, it was one of the first songs I heard when I became military, so it has a special place in my heart. I always get emotional when I hear it because I remember how difficult the days were during the pandemic. As Brazilians, our hearts are heavy because a state here in Brazil "Rio Grande do Sul" is completely submerged, the rivers flooded and everything was flooded, people lost everything, we are making donations from all sides to help people from There, we are doing everything we can. Well, regarding the question of you having heard Life Goes On somewhere, maybe I followed the Bts members' guide in the part about Jungkook, it shows that he directed the mv and shows the excerpt of the chorus, maybe that's what you remember. Thank you so much for today's video guys, I had to cry a little but I'm fine, thanks again for today's reaction, take care 💜💜💜🇧🇷🫰🏻
Nice reaction guys! This song is beautiful, it definitely helped many people during the pandemic. I can’t wait for you to star with their live stuff in the future, the MVs are great but BTS live is on another level. I get you Evan, I’m not a hugger either. I’m Brazilian and here people are very touchy so is very difficult lol
Living in a large Canadian city, we had almost total lockdown in the beginning with various stages of partial lockdown for the first 2 years. Some Hospitals and medical clinics still require masking to this day. Love all the performances and the MV of this song. 🫰🏻💜🇨🇦
The whole BE album is worth checking out. The playlist of the album is a journey that is poignant and a sign of our time in history. I heard that some hospitals played songs from this BE album to encourage and uplift people during COVID. To a lot of ARMY it was a life saver during this hard period.
Just wanted to say they had a big commercial for Samsung Galaxy s21 that played in the US with their song Life Goes On! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H4ivT6RilMU.html
@@TAHBofficial yeah I get it, but in my country we had over month that only one person could get out of house for suplies and that's all you could get out, and there were special hours when you could go and all age bracets had different time, and in small ships one person on time, and bigger shops 5 max.
@@magdalenagabrowska8169 same same same my dad lived in another city and I couldn’t see him. It took us to see him more than 2 months if im remembering right
Amo verlos disfrutar la canción al igual que yo jaja... Me encantó su reacción chicos... Y Evan... Eres yo con el asunto de los abrazos y el respeto por el espacio personal. 😅 Saludos!! 😊
You might have hear this song in Radio... This song actually only had 6 spins in radio. Still got 1st place in Billboard top 100 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 This song still uplift even after covit to everyone who feels down 🥰
Thank you guys for another amazing reaction. This song help so many people. These guys hard a really hard time and they were thinking about their fans so they came together with LGO. you guys have a wonderful weekend and see you next Friday. Big hugs for Evan. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
There is an awesome version they did for the Late Late show with James Corden which because of Covid weren't able to do a Live show with him . You can see this version as well as where they also do Dynamite on BANGTANTV back to back. It's the editing and how they were able to film it and the set designsthat impressed me.
I have noticed that you didn’t react to Dimash, I highly recommend reacting to SOS by Dimash. He will take you to another world and you will be mesmerized by his performance and voice. You don’t want to miss it. Blessings
Back at it guys I was in Germany visiting my family... BTS forever 💜♾️💟💜🔥✌️🇮🇪 The notification for when you're live hits me around 3 or 4am.. so I just turn over 😂😂 JK directed this video 💜 Big hugs Evan 🤗🤗🤣🤣🤣
I work in a grocery store so I still had to work. Luckily I didn’t get covid til 2 years later, but it was so scary having to deal with hundreds of people a day not knowing if I was exposed or not.
