Great pre-season with some lovely football so far, but expectations need to be tempered for when the season starts. Different dynamics, really, really physical & the team will need time to bed in together. Hopefully it'll be a cracking start but I suspect the true measure of this exciting looking team will be after 6-10 games. & no truer expression for League 1 than it's a marathon ( a real grind) not a sprint. Why on earth would you start James and Paik if you had any intention to sell them? It’s just not worth the risk of them getting injured. So for me, I can’t see them leaving now. James wants to improve as a young player and under Chris Davies and he looked superb against Rangers. The football we played in the first 60 minutes was sensational, I’ve never seen us play that well at St Andrews ever. Sanderson looked confident and the diagonal cross field passes? Wow I’m so glad I bought a season ticket for me and my lad.

Yes definitely we were by far the better team for the first 65 mins. And apart from a ten min spell when all the subs came on we dominated the ball and the one touch football and closing down was very good to watch. The display of Sanderson and Bielik were outstanding and Thor is going to be an absolute beast in div 1. Alfie may in the right place again. Rangers were chasing shadows at times. Kro 💙👌 Very happy.
