If you like this try the live 1994 Pulse tour performance. The last solo is way longer and more complex. The stage lighting also kicks it up another notch.
Great choice Ari, one of the very best songs from one of the very best bands of the Rock era. Now that you have turned onto Floyd you need to see this at the 1994 Pulse Concert. It is one of the best performances ever, David Gilmour unleashes one of the greatest guitar solos ever and the light show is amazing. Do watch the video and have your headphones ready! Also do the studio Time, it will make you think in a profound way Thanks and Enjoy! Rock On! 🎸
Maybe my favorite line in all of music comes at the end "When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse, out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look but it was gone. I cannot put my finger on it now. The child is grown, the dream is gone"
Mike brother you are soooo right. If anyone can show me 4 short sentences in all of music, hell literature even more full of loss, pain and regret, I'd be amazed.
You know if any good has came out of RU-vid, is that it lets the younger generation actually experience good sounding music like Pink Floyd through reaction videos- otherwise I’m afraid they might not ever know unless an uncle or really older sibling turned them on to it-
Led Zeppelin is one of my all-time favorite bands and right up there with them is Pink Floyd so whoever said you wouldn’t like one because you like the other is out of their minds! And practically everything that Pink Floyd did will put you in another zone, enjoy the ride!!!👌🎵🎶✌️😁
That was David Gilmour on guitar, arguably one of the greatest. He definitely makes the guitar sing. If you want another vibe song check out Shine On You Crazy Diamond. It’s a tribute to one of the founding members of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett who left the band due to his mental issues back in the late 60s. The song is amazing and it will definitely take you to another world 😜
Spread the word young person...you need to keep this music alive!! Your grandparents generation was high af when we listened to PF and the mighty mighty Led Zeppelin. 👍❤🤙
Try "On the turning away" live...the guitar solo at the end will definitely move you as this one does. Oh and get back to Led Zeppelin....'No Quarter" live 1973 MSG show.
Pink floyd is an experience always, this song just cuts so deep to the raw emotional experience, that is what they do they cut through the bullshit to give you another dimension in quadraphonic space, they are such a special band, down to earth, who want you to go beyond their individual personality to have an experience and enjoy the music not the personality but the deeper issues that humanity faces.
So much Pink Floyd to suggest. Time, young lost, have a cigar, wish you were here, money, another brick in the wall, great gig in the sky, learning to fly, echoes, us and them, breathe, goodbye blue sky, hey you
For those of us who grew up with bands like Pink Floyd, there is nothing better than watching the look of realisation that comes over your faces as you suddenly realise you are listening to MUSIC.
Also, Pink Floyd had a run of albums, like Led Zeppelin, from Meddle through The Wall, that need to be heard in their entirety when you can. My top 3 rock guitarists are Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour and Jimmy Page. They put you into an alternate reality that is often very emotional and intense, as you explore their music you will find out. Try studio Time, Welcome to the Machine and Echoes, they will blow your mind! Also the live version of Echoes in Pompeii in 1972 is beyond belief, you will be as exhilarated like when you watch live Zeppelin. Damn girl, you look great and so nice to see you again, have a nice weekend and think Spring! 😊
Watching you react to that second solo is amazing. David Gilmore didn't have to go crazy fast to show you he was a guitar god. Nothing but feeling in every note. Perfect
Missed you!! And as much as I love Pink Floyd I really miss you doing Zeppelin. Pink Floyd And Led Zeppelin are very different and in their own atmosphere which are are both number one for me, one on the right and one on the left
The great thing about Pink Floyd reactions is we can watch you pick any one song and we'll know at the end of you're made for Floyd. You need to go down that rabbit hole. Be prepared though, you'll look at music so much differently when you see what they've done
Ari Pink Floyd have a music catalogue as long as a highway in my humble opinion they are the greatest progressive rock band ever to have existed. To name but a few of great guitar solos from the Pulse concert held at Earl's Court London in 1994 are " Sorrow" High hopes" Comfortably Numb" Keep talking" Coming back to Life" Echoes Live at Pompeii part's 1&2, and The Turning Away live at DTOS. It will blow your mind and senses including the best light shows of all time enjoy.🇬🇧🤗🤗🤗🤗
David Gilmour is the lead singer guitarist you just heard. His wife says that when they argue or even have a discussion she uses words and he uses his guitar because it's so emotional and he can actually make it sing! If you like the sound of that guitar simply do the song "Time" from Pink Floyd's album "Dark Side of the Moon"! With Floyd the music is always deep and the lyrics are as well! And I've always said Pink Floyd makes you feel like you're floating through space and Zeppelin makes you feel like you can tear a phonebook in half! Number one and two in no particular order!!
Great reaction! I think "ethereal" or "other worldly" is what you are trying to say. It is what PF is known for! They have an incredible library of top-tier music! I wish I got to hear Pink Floyd for the first time, all over again! Enjoy the journey!
I would love to see you make a reaction video of you introducing your friends to this song as well. Need to keep this great rock living forever. Loved your reaction ❤
Welcome, our young musical padawan. You’ve heard Pink. Your next step is to Floyd by watching them perform live. Put the two together and then …. you’ve truly experienced what it means to be Pink Floyd.🎵😎 Trust me on this. Enjoy
Your life will never be the same, you have discovered the life with Pink Floyd the greatest band of all time and they will never be topped, in my view, there music is so soothing, it touches your soul. I really should tell you to experience an entire album of there's at once, they made concept albums, were all there songs tie in together, you would understand it alot better if you did, of course you would have to break down an album in two or three reactions but if you can't check out any of these songs , "Time", "Speak to me/ Breath", "Wish you Were Here", Shine on You Crazy Diamond", "High Hopes", "Brain Damage", "People Talking", "Us and Them", "Echoes", "Sorrow", "Another Brick in The Wall", "Hey You", "Young lust", "Wearing the Inside Out", "Dogs", "Pigs", Sheep", that should hold you a while, you want be disappointed, iam jealous, i wish i was experiencing them for the first time again, Happy Listening
Yeah, live 1994 Pulse concert. Arguably the greatest live rock guitar solo of all time. But equalled or maybe even surpassed by Sorrow from that same concert; absolutely epic, don't miss that one.
I think your going to have a great experience with digging into the catalogue. Of song s by pink Floyd. Another one you should listen to is sorrow live
Well well...I don't imagine that I'll forget the first time that I heard this track, seeing as I still can remember it 42 years later (and that was on an AM radio station, so I didn't even hear it in stereo at the first go) David Gilmour is just a singular soloist and, from both him and the band, there's plenty more where this came from ---you might find it worthwhile to go track by track with the three indispensable albums that preceded The Wall (The Dark Side of the Moon from 1973; Wish You Were Here from '75,; and Animals from '77) It's all right there for ya, and indeed the live PULSE version of "Numb" that so many others have rec'd is must viewing (and the absolute monster solo at the end in fact got edited down by nearly two minutes for the commercial release) So anyway, welcome to the wondrous world of PF ---it's guaranteed to pay back with interest any time and energy that you choose to devote to it; enjoy!
What you are appreciating is one of the finest artists on guitar that has ever come to music/rock/etc., David Gilmour. No one else does what he does at the level he does it. No one.
Pink Floyd is... is... is different. They are genre nonspecific and heavily influenced by the Blues and Jazz. Just leave your preconceived notions and expectations of popular music at the door, sit back, and enjoy the ride. Pink Floyd didn't make three minute songs for radio play. They made theme albums where each track is part of a whole and is intended to be listened to together. You can appreciate each song individually of course, but the real experience is consuming the whole album at once. This was from the album 'The Wall', but I would recommend you start with 'Dark Side of the Moon' as an initiation. Great reaction! Send more PF!
You're doing awesome with Zeppelin so I'm going to suggest a couple songs from a few more bands Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter, Sympathy For The Devil, Miss You (huge rabbit hole with this band) The Who - Baba O'Riley, My Generation, Magic Bus, Won't Get Fooled Again (same - tons of songs) Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son, Born On The Bayou, Down On The Corner The Doors - LA Woman, Roadhouse Blues, Break On Through
Another great "chill" song by Pink Floyd is their little known title "San Tropez". No where near as great as Comfortably Numb but its a very relaxing Jazz-pop piece to soothe the stressful soul. Another chill song from them is "Take It Back" which is about Mother Nature taking back control of the earth.
Welcome to the Universe where time stops, music moves your soul and wraps you in a chill vibe. We call this universe Pink Floyd. Check out Dogs from Animals, Echoes from Live at Pompeii, Shine on Your Crazy Diamond from Wish You Were Here, Sorrow and On the Turning Away from Momentary Lapse of Readon, High Hopes from The Division Bell. They are great staters to take you on a journey. But know that too really appreciate each album it should be listened to uninterrupted from beginning to end.
Great choice and enjoyable reaction. Sincere advice: Pink Floyd is best appreciated with good headphones. It makes the the music and vibe more intravenous. Relax, avoid distractions, close your eyes and "travel" with the music. It's an experience.
Welcome to the FLOYD family . That a fun rabbit hole you started . 2 things : LISTEN deeply to the lyrics and 2 nd , NEVER ,EVER , stop a David gilmour solo . you might like to see the movie , prettty awsome film . edit : listen to floyd with headphone s on , that s the way we did it in the 80 s ;)
He's singing about one time before a concert he wasn't feeling good and he went to the doctor and the doctor gave him pain medicine You're only coming through in ways your lips are moving but I can't hear what you're saying My hands feel like two balloons and he's comfortably numb the effects of the pain medications ! I saw Pink Floyd dark side of the Moon tour in 1975 it was really unbelievable . You should react to the great gig in the sky and another brick in the wall !
Before you start listen Pink Floyd a song after song i must warn you that Pink Floyd is that music which you should listen from A to Z. In this case it means whole album from first to last song at once. It's the only way to understand what had you listen to. If you will do this another way it could be not a right decision.
At 9:59 you say: ( i was waiting for that little bit of oomph with the guitar and i've got it, and i'm so happy i did god that part was so good). For more (oomph), you absolutely have to watch and listen to the Pulse Live 1994 version of this song.
Time, wish you were here, shine on you crazy diamond , great gig in the sky, mother, money, have a cigar, welcome to the machine. all great song by them you have to check out. btw the live pulse concert version of this song is way better
If you like 70's guitar vibes like David Gilmore you really are going to like Funkadelic's Eddie Hazel's "MISS LUCIFER'S LOVE" "FREE YOUR MIND...YOUR ASS WILL FOLLOW" "YOU AND YOUR FOLKS" "I WANNA KNOW" " A JOYFUL PROCESS" " THE GOOSE THAT LAID THE GOLDEN EGG"
This song is so great. Almost makes you want to float thru the air, cry and orgasm at the same time. Simply incredible. Brain Damage/eclipse is another great one from Pink Floyd
Do yourself a favour and make your next Pink Floyd reaction the entire Dark Side of the Moon album. Considered by many as the greatest album of all time, it spent a total of 962 weeks on the Billboard top album charts (yeah, like 18 years).
I remember when this came out. I was smoking with my white friends and I was tripping heavy to the sounds . And still too this day I listen to it still. Timeless 😎
Well be prepared there’s Led Zeppelin there’s Pink Floyd…….and there’s RUSH the wounderful 3 man band just 3 masters musicians with the best drummer of all time and the best base quitar player of all time 🥰👌
Pink Floyd albums are meant to be heard as a whole, in one take. Each has a story and you are missing it as you missed the point in this one, there is nothing chill about being comfortably numb, it's desperate. But, if you are going to dissect it and take it for its sheer musical value, then yes, listen to PULSE. And speaking of journeys, ascending and travelling in another space, then Shine on You Crazy Diamond and Great Gig are just right for you.
Don't listen to live versions of PF songs like everyone in the comments is recommending. You should always listen to studio releases first, and not listen to the live versions until you're more familiar with the songs. They are better quality and the best representation of the song for new listeners. People who recommend the live versions mistakenly think that new listeners are at the same place in the journey as them. Enjoy.
YAY, another soul that feels the vibe of Pink Floyd!! Hope you go down the rabbit hole. You could literally find your favorite Pink Floyd song on the 30th song you listen to. So much brilliance- and, since you mentioned suggestions, if you like this Pink Floyd Vibe, I think you would dig Aurora- Not really like Pink Floyd at all but the only other artist that I had a hard time explaining how it was making me feel. Great Vibe- I would say start with Runaway and then if you like, go from there. She is 25 now, wrote Runaway when she was 11 I believe. Her performance live, here, she is 19 I think- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fc7XWW_Ehb8-.html And then, if you love that song, I would recommend another artist, a young lady all of 15, who does an amazing cover of this song. I mean, no one can do what Aurora does, but her interpretation is excellent. Her name is Daneliya Tuleshova and she won The Voice: Kids Ukraine when she was only 10. Her blind audition was a cover of Demi Lovato's Stone Cold- She has many excellent covers but I always recommend Runaway, Lady Gaga's Shallow and then Birdy's Not About Angels- and lastly, Postmodern Jukebox featuring Haley Reinhart covering Radioheads Creep. She SLAYS it- Enjoy the journey, it is great how much you love good music!
Hello, we are a kids family band from New Zealand and we do a lot of classic rock covers.. We hope you might like to see a Pink Floyd one we have done of 'Hey You' by Pink Floyd. We reckon it’s a really cool Pink Floyd song! Thanks :)
@@arinicolereacts Here are some Pink Floyd songs that really help during the tough times: Us and Them, Wish You Were Here, High Hopes (Pulse concert -1994), On the Turning Away (Live - 1988) Hope you feel better :)
I would advise to listen or better watch the movie the The Wall. This song comes to a point for Pink and his Wall. The Numbness from drugs , his self isolation behind his mental Wall. Pinks mind is now entering his delusional visions climaxing with the trial.
Baby, you're the best! How is that possible, to see such a pure young beauty, listening to such good music? Please, come in France, and marry me!
