Hi, As far as I know, there is only one video of the unmasking. That video doesn't show the guessing. All five of the panelists guessed correctly. In earlier episides, everyone was completely baffled. Watch and see.

In Russia, they don’t sing under a mask, it’s physically impossible, it’s hard to breathe there, it’s very hot, the artists see almost nothing, namely, they still need to work out the show number with the dancers, and one day to prepare, the team chooses the song, and the artist records it on studio, the next day a stage program is staged under this recording, on the third day the show is recorded (this is Thursday), and on Sunday the show is shown on TV.

Vocal range and style When Ankudinova first came to broader attention in 2017 (14 years old), her range was measured as D3 to A5. As of September 2021 (18 years old), her functional range was measured as C3 to B♭5. Together with her tessitura, it identifies her potential voice type as dramatic contralto, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice.

During the previous 4 (or 5?) songs Diana Ankudinova performed for the show she did indeed disguise her voice well. However by this point I think she had decided that enough is enough, lol. BTW This arrangement of the song is nearer to one sung by Sia than the original M&Ps song .

She went on for 9 episodes out of the total 12 of the show, in the first 5 of them she was constantly altering her voice so that she could not get recognized and she IS.. really unrecognizable but in episode 6 she decided to go all out and for the next 4 episodes she gave us some crazy performances, these 4 were the best of the whole show easily and i would even say that this show is too small for them. "California dreaming", "I will fight for you", "Sweet dreams" and "Fly away with the wings of wind" are masterpieces where she showed her new high range in more than one of them and once again proved that there is really nothing out of her reach. Lets talk a little about her range. First of all you got it right she is a contralto, a dramatic contralto more specifically because her voice is so much fuller and strong in the low register. The standard that most people will still mention is the range she exhibited when she was 18 years old (nearly 2 years ago) in "The show mask go on" competition while singing "Can't help falling in love", that was from C3 to Bb5 almost 3 octaves (1,5 notes off of 3 octaves). The thing is that this is not her full range, even then at the age of 18 this was not her full range, she has reached up to c6 in more than one instance, her vocal coach always said that she had 4 octaves back then but i never personally heard her reaching there. In this show she showcased her higher range, she definitely hits a C6 in "California dreaming". In "Fly away with the wings of wind" she also demonstrated that she can maintain her high range for lengthy periods of time, that shows that she is rather comfortable in the soprano range she does not just flip up there for a just a note or two. This is telling that she can definitely reach a 4 octave range just as her vocal coach claimed and more over we can say that these 4 octaves can be her functional range which means she can tap to that pool anytime she wants, can she go for more than that? i am sure she can but it will be counter productive, no one wants to ruin their voice, she can take her time developing it more and i am sure that some day she will surprise everyone with even crazier notes. To be frank i never expected from her to go beyond 3 octaves so soon but that shows that she is ready and she is still very young, she will be 20yo next month but her voice will continue to develop in to the future, a soprano's voice peaks around the age of 26/27, lower voices tend to develop for longer, a contralto's voice is considered young even at the age of 30 but these things also tend to differentiate from person to person too. The main thing is that it is still early to make accurate readings on her voice and that is crazy considering that she is already this good and versatile.

Diana was revealed only on the 9th song. She sang all the other songs maybe in 7 different ways, I guess. She was unrecognizable until the 9th performance.

Они не поют в этом конкурсе из под маски. Фонограмма записана заранее самим артистом. Здесь нет живого звука в этом шоу.

Судьи даже по этой песне не догадались что это Диана. А вообще она сняла маску только на 9 туре. За время выступлений она продемонстрировала 6-7 различных видов пения и долго водила жюри за нос.
