Is it just me, or am I getting a Cyberpunk Dimash feeling here? Anyway, this is my reaction to Dimashe's new song ''Golden''. Let me know what you think about this badass Dimash approach :)

I uploaded this reaction the same day the original video came out, but it immediately got blocked worldwide. That made me really sad because I don't see any real benefits of blocking a video (unless somebody uploaded it in its entirety to their channel and acted like it was theirs - which is theft). The purpose of reaction videos is, I believe, to be able to share our opinions, learn from examples, talk about music, find people that share or contradict our opinions, and in most cases, just spread the word about new songs, which can only be beneficial to the original artist. In any case, videos like this are demonetized for me, meaning, anything my channel would earn from ads playing on this video, goes directly to Dimashes team, or whoever is in charge of that on his end. Which is totally fine, they should earn everything because it's their creative work, their song, their video, and I respect that - I create music as well so I know how much time, knowledge and soul goes into every single detail. Some artists choose to share this ad-revenue, very few let us reactors keep it, but that's a different topic. Anyway, they would earn money from my videos, as they did in the past, so blocking really doesn't make too much sense to me. RU-vid has a dispute option where you can dispute blocks and stuff like that. So that's what I did, explaining that what I do should be considered fair use because I added some new value with my commentary, criticism, educational tips, and stuff like that. In the past when I disputed videos like this, some got unblocked, some didn't. This process takes 30 days, but if the copyright owner doesn't respond in a few days, the video can go live. I've waited for a week and still no response, so I'm making this video public now. However, they can still shut it down if they decide to do so in the remaining 23 days, but if this video is still up after that, that means everything is good. I'm thinking this, if you've ever watched my channel, you know how much I respect Dimash and love how he sings and adore almost everything he does with music. If everybody likes and shares this video, they will probably see that it's not an attempt to upload the music video as my own and copyright infringe on somebody's hard work. Hell no! I would never do something stupid as that. I'm guessing they will see that the video is fine and leave it public, at least that's what I'm hoping for. There's only one way to find out, so please, share it around, like it, and hopefully, everything goes well! Sorry for a bit of a longer text, I just really like when you know exactly what's going on! I'm sorry to hear that you had a hard time with this video. Dimash's YT just recently changed management. It's now managed by a company called Yoola.. They've been giving everybody a hard time! Dimash's management in the beginning said that reaction videos and collage videos (usuallya made by fans and fan clubs) are fine. But Yoola ends up blocking and stricking here and there and everywhere 😟. That's so annoying! His fans & fanclubs have been trying to complain about this but contacting to Yoola just doesn't work. They just give automated replies 🤷‍♀️... I'm so glad that they finally let you put this up again.

Для меня этот клип-фильм выглядит иронично и в то же время увлекает эпичным сюжетом, я бы сказала, что это новый жанр музыкального видео. Мне нравится это сочетание смыслов. И я соглашаюсь, что это эксперимент и желание вырваться из уже привычного жанра или нескольких жанров. Песня не самая для меня любимая, но я ждала в новых песнях Димаша этих металлических ноток его голоса, что-то от Фредди Меркьюри, хочу слышать этого еще больше. Мне очень нравится, как выглядит Димаш в кадре в роли современного Робин Гуда! Это новая грань его таланта - таланта актера. Я жду продолжения, второй серии! 😃👏👍❤

Hang in dimash. Here come the dears. Good video! I understand your point. I also understand why dimash needs to branch out. In order for him to hit mainstream music he will need to have different styles under his belt. True Dimash can hit higher notes than anyone and it’s his stick. The problem with many artists is to be often "trapped" in one genre. We are used to here Dimash singing a lot of neoclassic songs so that sometimes it looks weird to hear him trying new genres. It also dipends on one's personal taste. Within my personal taste I prefer Dimash singing more pop/rock songs, like Screaming or Lay down , but many other Dears love more his neoclassic repertoire. So as I said I think it's a matter of preferences. One thing is for sure, he's always at the top of any genre and this makes him unique and also inimitable. Hey!! Thanks for the video! Dimash released this song a couple of weeks ago.... I mean the song alone. And in that, his voice takes a primary role. Then he released this video as a way to sell the song. It's just a new way of packaging a song and its' pretty cool!! But check out the actual song on Spotify!

When you hear it at a louder volume it becomes fairly clear. And it definitely makes you think. It's contemporary and a metaphor for what is wrong in the world. Dimash is an innovator and will only get better at what he's doing.

Love the reaction. You're so respectful of how you tell your opinions and analysis. Yes, this is a warming up song for Dimash 😁. Love it that he's exploring many genres (lol like he wasn't doing that already, Dimash is super versatile, its 🤯) I agree, that the story is more forefront compared to the song. Tbh, I enjoy listening more to the full song without interruption on the music release (not the MV): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1spuC4cGpX4.html (it's not cut up by the scenes) But this is definitely a great mini movie to watch. Thank you. Yes, we all need to step “outside of the box” and explore different patterns and boundaries. This Video is more about the message than the actual song. This video has a “Robin Hood” theme. The Hero and companion take money back from bad-guys and the character Dimash represents, returns it to the citizens, (the scene in the bus). I love the video and the strong message that is being portrayed. It is about protagonist against antagonist; It is portraying “Good” over “Evil”, at the end of the Video; the citizens band together with the Hero, to prevail for the common good. I love Dimash and am a fan that watch Dimash's reaction everyday. But something about this song is not easy to listen to for me. I think it's hard to become a hit like other Dimash's songs. The MV is cool, high quality of machine, story line is ok, acting is good. BUt the song itself is hard to follow. I still love it overall as it is from Dimash, but honestly I don't enjoy the song as much as I wish I could.

Hii H.. Awesome reaction. Yes this MV actually not focus on the song.. Its focus more on the message actually.. There are some hidden message as well.. So the song basically just decoration here.. I hope you listen to this song on spotify.. Its an amazing song.. And there are some part that many people missed to take note from the song due to the MV steal the attention. So please check this song on spotify 😊 Btw, sad to hear u having problem with copyright.. Its due to new management of his RU-vid channel. They are still testing and adjusting.. Hope it will get better soon. This copyright is even though its giving a hard time for reactors, its a needed approach because so many people blatantly uploading the exact same MV/video on their channel.. Not in small amount too.. Btw I saw some reactors succesfully react to Dimash's new videos by making the screen very small.. It seems, its not based on audio but video.. Talking about look alikes, the guy right at the front in the first scene, looks a lot like Robert Downey Jr. It would be cool if it is but I doubt it is really him 😆 The vibes I got were like fighting back against evil and tyranny, and Dimash is leading the rebellion against it along with all the other outcasts and oppressed. All your comments are fair. Thanks for your reaction. I think Dimash is considering how to promote his work in the West and find new fans. He has talked about how a song that is popular in one country isn't necessarily understood in another. The American market is different from other countries, and he wants to be successful here. I admire his courageous and adventurous nature!

He has said that the music is just the vehicle of his message--a universal language. The excellence of his music is part and parcel of his overarching excellence as a person.

Dimash first sang Golden at his Arnau concerts. It was released as a single about a month ago and is available on iTunes, Spotify, etc the lyrics are available. Dimash mixes fast songs with slower ones at his concerts, I think so as to give some alternate respite and momentum to the audience atmosphere, snd maybe to give himself a break from the technically demanding songs. I really love the song, it's so uplifting and energizing, and I can actually sing along. I agree that in this case the MV is the main focus and the song feels a bit in the background. I really love both though!!! He opens his Arnau concert with this song, the live version from Kiev concert is on his YT too. The studio version with the new arrangement is available on most streaming platforms.

Thank you for your reaction. When the song was released a few weeks ago my thoughts were like many of your comments, I wanted to hear his voice clearer, not so much in the background. I kept listening to it, it never bacame a favourite but it grew on me and I love his rock vocals in there. When this MV was released I understood more where he was coming from. Now I like this song because of the story and the message, I love Dimash in the Robin Hood role, that the good wins over the bad. That if we unite we can beat everything, we just need to stand together. Is this my favourite vocal performance from Dimash, no it's not, but I can't wait for the day when I stand in front of a stage with thousands of Dears singing "We are, we are, we are Golden". And I love him for doing exactly what he wants to do, his way no matter what other people might think. :) Thank you for giving your honest reaction to this, wouldn't want it any other way.

Hi, Hrvoje. I have no objection to Dimash doing the occasional pop song, it's just that he's never done a pop song I wanted in my playlist, including this song. Though I honestly LOVE this MV, I'm not a fan of the song. As someone obsessed with Dimash's world-class vocal talent, when he sings a pop song I want it to be something about which I'll say, "That's Dimash! He's the only one who could do that!". Then he premiered his new pop song "Be With Me" during his online digital concert and I was *shook*. I immediately wanted to hear it over and over again, I want to buy it, I want it in my playlist! It's musically and vocally exceptional, it's uniquely Dimash, and yes he's the only one who could do it. I'm so excited for you to do a technical analysis of "Be With Me" when it's released (soon). I think you too will be shocked and, as a vocal coach, you will find a LOT to analyze in that song. I can't wait!

I loved the different colours in his voice in Be with me. But overall, the song is fun, and not that sophisticated and classy. I prefer classy and artistic Dimash more. But I'm glad he's experimenting. He seems without boundaries.

Hopefully the copyright is sorted 🙏🤞 This isn’t a new song he has opened all the concerts in his Arnau tour in 2020 with this, as you say a bit of a vocal warm up. I think he just fancied changing it up and doing a MV especially at the moment when he can’t do live concerts. I already commented on this but sometimes I comment without thinking... I still agree with you, I've followed dimash for about 3 years and he can sing anything.... all dears know this . I listened to him singing pop, opera and amazing rock... thing with this is ( please don't attack me) that it's a very visual thing and just thru sound etc... his voice his lost... it's not my favourite song and I've heard him singing it outside of this video, ok but I just feel like his talent was grossly unfair in this ... imagine this was your first time listening to him? You wouldn't be amazed ... I just feel his voice is spectacular and it's kinda wasted on this song... I love him branching out but this doesn't do him justice...

El vídeo es una maravilla, a mí me dejó en shock, no tanto por su voz, que también, o por su producción, que también, sino por el mensaje, para mí es lo más destacable, es brutal. Está lleno de símbolos en una denuncia clara y contundente a la infame realidad de estos tiempos. Alusiones al ojo del Gran Hermano en las figuras del cuervo y los villanos que nos vigilan constantemente, sin respetar nuestra privacidad, y ejerciendo de censores totalitarios. De hecho, en el metro hay un cartel explícito de rechazo al big brother. Ojos reptilianos en los sicarios, aludiendo a los instintos humanos más primarios, los que no saben de justicia ni razón. Un mundo futuro pero a la vuelta de la esquina, cuasi apocalíptico, decadente, con ciudadanos absorbidos por la tecnología al servicio de las grandes coorporaciones. La droga de estos tiempos que nos neutraliza el pensamiento, (creo que no es casual la introducción de un fumeta, establece la comparativa), aunque ciertamente los grafitis y neones parecen mostrar sus reivindicaciones de paz y libertad... quizá sea una ventana abierta a la esperanza, quizá la gente no esté tan ciega como parece, quizá el rebaño termine fijándose en el disidente, en la oveja negra, que se atreve a denunciarlo. Brutal. Una sociedad vacua, infantilizada, materialista, que es consciente de un puñado de monedas virtuales que les devuelve el disidente, pero no de todo lo que nos roban y pretenden robarnos los que llenan la ciudad con carteles de "wanted" al disidente. El héroe rebelde de la historia (el que buscan) nos dice que la gente es ORO, que los pueblos son ORO, que no dejemos que nos roben nuestra identidad, que luchemos por nuestra libertad. Rebelémonos, los de las "máscara-illas" (tengo la sensación de que tampoco es casual el hecho de enmascarar a todos los rebeldes, grandes y pequeños), parece querer decir "demos un uso a las mascarillas más útil y eficaz, el de proteger nuestra identidad mientras luchamos por nuestros derechos, dejemos atrás el miedo, que la máscara sea muestra de valentía en vez de temor" porque... somos GOLDEN, el pueblo es GOLDEN, y nos jugamos mucho, nada más y nada menos que nuestra libertad. Tremenda alegoría. Soy una dear desde aquel día que tuve la suerte de que Dimash se cruzara en mi camino. Como artista lo admiro con toda mi capacidad de admiración... desde que vi este vídeo, además, lo respeto profundamente como ser humano. Sabía que era honesto pero lo que no sabía es que fuera tan valiente. El vídeo es toda una declaración, sospecho que Dimash ha leído recientemente 1984.

The song Golden is not actually a new song but actually a new version which I think is purposely rearranged for the MV or simply just experimenting as you said. Compared to the older version, I actually really like the new slight change in the music arrangement with a little roughness in his voice. Definitely giving the song a little more pump. He usually sings this song for the opening of his concerts.

This MV cuts our attention to Dimash’s voice. Dimash’s singing only becomes background music. In comparison, I think the MV of Across Endless Dimensions is better. It has both a story and highlights Dimash’s singing.

Those who have been following Dimash know that this is something differrent from what we used to hear from him. I, for one did not know what to say after seeing this MV. I do understand, however, that he has to do some experiments for obvious reasons, and I wish him luck in exploring other directions/opportunities. On one hand, this MV tells us that he can act, too. Are we not excited to see him do some action movies?

Thank you, for your reaction. I always appreciate your professional opinion. 💖 About the MV - what i like is - especially the more rocky sound in Dimash's voice, the story, the efects, the set. What I don't like is that the video distracts a bit from the Dimash skills and shooting back wasn't absolutely necessary. I would have liked a little stronger, louder Dimash's voice on the last run. GOLDEN is not new as far as I am aware. He often has sung it in his concerts, but the MV video is, and is an awesome story line. You should have watched the release of it in his online concert on 31st January where the MV played in full.

The song is not new. He has sung it several times at concerts. I really like this song because of its message. We are golden, no matter what someone says or thinks about us, no matter what mask one sometimes has to hide behind, inside we are golden. We are valuable. The video is one that you have to watch more often to understand all the elements. Dimash plays Robin Hood here. He plays a hacker who brings an evil fraudulent financial company to its knees and returns their money to the people who were betrayed. His companion is shot and then kidnapped. The end shows that he was able to get a lot of people to go with him, so that the bad guys had no chance against this overwhelming power. Good versus bad and the good wins because many people come together. I think one could learn from this. This message goes very well with Dimash.

Yes, a cool video, a Robin Hood Dimash. But yes, the focus is less on his voice. I love those screams and the energy of the song though. I, too, prefer his classical crossover songs. The focus is much more on his voice and they truly show his voice. This is not among my favourites, but I'm glad he experiments, I love the lyrics, and he looks so cool.

This is a video that promotes a song, not the other way around. The song isn't new; he's been opening Arnau concerts with it since Astana in 2019. The whole song is on all music platforms and is quite different from the video. As far as the lyrics being clear, I think you need new headphones 😄

Floor Jansen does all sorts of genres. From operatic arias and Disney princes songs to her symphonic heavy metal. One shouldn't be bound by excellent vocal capabilities.

true. but this reactor is a vocal coach so as a viewer its fair to expect his analysis to focus on the vocals. no one's comparing Floor to Dimash obviously bc its stupid to do so. Definitely every hard working artist deserves our appreciation irrespective of gender. Golden hardly shows Dimash's vocal capabilities but its message is powerful and i suspect D uses it like a political statement to drive home his own philosophy on what it means to be human

I absolutely agree with everything you said. I had a very difficult time understanding the lyrics and the singing did seem overpowered by the music during much of it. It seems like a lot of effort , time and money went into creating this music video. For me, I wished it would’ve been for a brand new song and not an older song. I felt there was too much downtime between singing parts. I adore Dimash and think his voice and performance abilities are the best in the world. However for me this just fell short and left me wanting something else.

I get the impression that the mix is off with your equipment since I’ve listened a few times and the balance was fine. However, I understand your perspective and - to an extent - agree. Dimash is truly versatile and I understand the desire to reach out to different genres. I don’t entirely agree with all of your comments (for example, I like this better than SOS for its freshness and modern feel)... Will this be my favourite, probably not - I do love such songs as Adagio and Sinful Passion as well as Samaltau and others - but I also appreciate the more modern such as Screaming. Check the balance on your playback, that could account for some of the issues with the sound. Otherwise, just chalk it up to different strokes! Cheers!

Hi, it wasn't because of the equipment, I've tested it on other songs. This is just a mixing choice where the music has the main role, and the vocal is more of a filler, at least compared to his other songs

There is no fluency in this clip like in a concert. The clip is still very good but I recommend you listen to the concert performance because there is the rap part. I also think the concert is a little more fluent.

This is not a new song at all, Dimash sings it at his solo concerts. However, he recently reworked it quite a bit, adding a rock sound. However, due to the fact that in this video the sound is very muted and relegated to the background, this video does not satisfy me at all. It turns out that the clip is weak both in the audio part (there is very little Dimash's vocals in it) and in the video part, since the plot is trivial here, the acting of the non-main characters is rather superficial. I don't like this clip.
