American here, Dimash is probably the best in the world. He is the complete package. His parents are both professional singers and have trained him since he was 4 years old.

He's from Kazakhstan and is gradually becoming well-known across the world. He had a concert in NY in December. His first album went platinum in 34 seconds. He's a humble, kindly, generous, sweet-natured young man. He feels hurt when people say he's not human, because he tries hard to be the best human he can be. He is from Kazakhstan, he is the best in the world (he was in the World's Best cotest but got out of it out of his will and beautiful soul refusing to compete against children because that was expected in the semifinals where he had a place). The crying and singing guy is Dimas's dad wich is a singer byhimself, his mom is an opera singer too. Dimash is 25 years old.

This guy raps too. He does rap, opera, pop, popera, traditional, folk... You say it he does it. He mixes all kinds of stuff together. In this song he has pop and opera. He doesn't hit his highest or lowest notes here. He sings 6 octaves and 2 semi tones. There is a man who can hit 8+ octaves and a man who hits 10 octaves but I know neither of them can hit as high (D8), they sing in the lower ranges. The glorious thing about Dimash is that he knows his voice inside and out and he can use it like a fine tuned instrument. The other 2 gents just hit notes, Dimash makes the notes he hits come alive. He gives them color and structure. He does things with each bit of his voice that a rare few in this world know how to do and he has over a 6 octave playground to play in. Ahh, he is amazing! That he dares to mix opera and pop or folk and opera with rap reminds me of Queen when they made Bohemian Rhapsody and were told no one would want to listen. Dimash is breaking barriers and I am loving it! BTW, I am middle aged here not some teenie bopper chasing my idol. I just think as he has said he wants to bring all kinds of music together and all kinds of people together. He seems to be doing it. My sister had her students in high school English wanting to know who he was when she played him in class and they ended up researching him.
