Great reaction. They recorded 'Doki Doki Morning' at the end of October 2010 and made their live debut at the first Sakura Gakuin show in November 2010 with this song. Su was 12, Yui and Moa were 11. The video was recorded nearly a year later in 2011 on a shoe string budget and an edited version was posted on the Toys Factory channel. This full version was posted in 2012 on the new Babymetal channel. They had to borrow clothes to make up their costumes - the Babybones skeleton suits were black onesies with white masking tape stuck on. Talking about Babybones - they were never a real band, they appeared in music videos and they pretended to play the instruments on stage in the early days before BABYMETAL had the budget for a real live band to support them. The Kami Band made their very first appearance at Legend I in October 2012. The Kami Band members you are most familiar with mostly joined in 2013. They became their full time support for all live shows in March 2014 and although there have been many members of the Kami Band the same hard core of 6 or 7 musicians have played the vast majority of shows. For the 2019 US tour and the 2020 UK & Europe tour the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) were BABYMETAL's support. There is a commentary video where the girls talk over this video (and 4 other videos) as they reminisce about making them. They were particularly pleased with themselves for teaching the Babybones guys the choreo just so they could dance along with them in the video.

There's a DDM Edited Ver that was released in 2011 at Toys Factory Japan channel, a year before releasing in their own channel, i met them with the Edited Ver. 5:50 lmao I don't think the baby-bones are still part of the group, a couple of them (not sure if the same one) did a comeback during Headbanger!! at Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2, there are a lot more dancers like the "sister-bones" but they didn't show up during this Metal Galaxy era as far as I remember. The only one stable (kinda) are the Kami Band members, of course except for the terrible loss of Mikio Fujioka, one of the beloved guitarists. But FYI the original Kami Band show up in 2012 weren't the same that we got now, also there is a West Kami Band with different set of western musicians. Yes this was their first music video and first song released. On the initial recording Su-Metal was 12 and Yuimetal and Moametal were 11. The Kawaii factor is on overload here. The band behind them was a track and they were on miming the instruments. The Babybones behind them were used in the very early days as they could not afford their Kami Band.; or even outfits for that matter. Good to see you check out a variety of an extremely long lived group with decades to come.

This was the first BABYMETAL single, music video, etc. Like many classic Heavy Metal songs, the lyrics of 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' talk about which cute hairstyle and lip gloss they should decide on for school. : ) The "time" theme of the video (clocks, gears, wristwatch) is about hurrying up to get ready in the morning. At this point BABYMETAL were still the "Heavy Music Club" subunit of Sakura Gakuin, a school themed Idol group. BABYMETAL's budget was super small to begin with, even compared to the other sub-units, and they got less promotion to start with. Su's coat was borrowed from one of the Sakura Gakuin teachers. Moa's vest was borrowed from Yui, and Yui borrowed hers from fellow student Raura. But the video started to blow up once it was posted online. They became so popular, that when lead singer Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) "graduated" from" Sakura Gakuin in 2013 when she turned 15, BABYMETAL became an independent group.

When it comes to older videos also before Babymetal when they were younger... we can go back a LOT. For example Suzuka 'working' at age 5, we even have a video of that. Surprisingly she started at age 3. 2:25 this is why their private life is VERY private.

I used to have issues with alarm sounds to wake up to. I'd need to change em after a short while because they were getting on my nerves. I've been using doki doki morning as my alarm sound for 18 months and it still hasn't gotten irritating yet.
I think alot of people on first watch don't realize the band in the MV are young people too.. look at how tall the band members are compared to the girls. That's definitely not the Kami band in the skeleton outfits.
I think the official story is it's 'staff', the girls even mentioned: the director also tried to put on the suit, but didn't fit. Let's also remember Mikio wasn't really taller than the girls either (not saying he was involved,, 100% certain he was NOT, just talking about how tall he is for reference)

I think you shouldn't shut down a video until it is COMPLETELY over - there are several Babymetal videos that have things going on even after the music is over.
You should really focus on the live more than music videos. Live lets Su-metals voice really come out without the touch ups done in studio. I'd suggest watching the newest live version of this song (I don't remember the show name), or go for Rondo of Nightmare live at Budokon with the Mischief of Gods intro
