Ed’s been rapping for a while and was just saying how he feels more accepted by UK rappers and grime artists than pop artists. He basically started out in it. He has done an Afro beats song with Fuse ODG called Boa Me and was on a song with Stormzy and Burna Boy called Own It. He had a collaborations project with a lot of rappers like Eminem, 50 Cent, Dave, Stormzy, Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott etc. His solo albums usually have some rapping on them too.
Please study Eds history. He isnt new to this or uncomfortable, he wasnt trying to be like anything but ED. He's been standing strong since grinding the London Grime scene for his come up...he isnt faking a funk...
As a Peruvian…we fuckin love this collab. Also, Ed isn’t Uncomfortable. Dude has been collabing with different cultures for a minute and nails it every time. However, he can’t dance haha.
Peru is a friend of fireboy. Peru is known for using the Yoruba dialect slang (Para) to show his frustrations about situations. All fireboy’s friends, including Peru are asking , where is Fireboy? But fireboy is busy working hard on his music, touring from San Francisco to Miami. And everybody is loosing their mind because fireboy is been away for too long. That’s the song in a nutshell…. He wasn’t talking about the country Peru.
Yeah but since it’s saying PERU ,Miami , London & San Francisco so Spanish people are going to be related with the Country and Spanish people also sound perfect for African singers to crossover to Latino culture 🇵🇪 🇳🇬 🇬🇧 love ❤️ this song great Singers
It’s fine for Latino culture sounds perfect doesn’t matter if it’s the country or not since PERU 🇵🇪 is on the song plus Miami San Francisco & London could be related on ours thoughts & it’s a great song good for them
English inner city white kids grow up with black people and often in the same neighbourhoods. Many of us understand African/ Jamaican culture and were surrounded by it like myself. Ed Sheeran has always been involved in this culture, he’s by no means a culture vulture.
FYI: Omoge means hot girl. Some might say beautiful girl. However, some semantic nuance means beautiful girl not strictly correct. Beauty in essence is ewa. Oge is the female version of peacocking 🦚 . So omoge is a young woman that made herself sexy or attractive or is getting heads turned by wearing make up, beads around her waist etc So oge is something you do and beauty or ewa is something you are.
What people dont know is that ed isnt just a pop artist or a artist to one genre. Hes a versatile artist. He can do whatever is thrown at him. Look at Galway girl/Nancy mulligan, Barcelona, bibia be ye ye, No. 6 collaborations project and all the songs he has featured on.
Ed's always looks a little bit awkward in his videos he's actually quite shy 🤭 but he started out rapping Ed is totally dominating the music scene he's a total legend X
@@o.t9358 I doubt those not familiar with many afrobeat artists (aside from the big names) would catch the "Peruzzi" reference upon first review. Even Peru the country gave the song a shoutout on their official twitter😂 I personally have never heard of him before, but happy to check out his work. Overall, the song is🔥
Why should you say that? Ed Sheeran is way too big for where you are driving at! Do you know what it means to shade an entire country? Bro, you are really slow. His lyrics has nothing to do with what you are thinking.
@@jerrywonder1831.. Ohh common, I didn't make up the statement.. Did u even listen to the lyrics? Ed may not have implied that Puru is a chaotic place but that's the literal meaning to that line in his verse. Do I have to school u?
WEIRD FACT: The song PERU is not about Peruvian government. It's actually about his friend, a Nigerian artist called 'Peruzzi' , He is signed to davido's label (DMW), and he is fond of saying 'I am LOO-oosing control' (anytime he is angry or emotional)... The 'Para' means vex or fuming... Hence; Peru, Para (Peruzzi, flare up) Even Peru don dey para (Now Peruzzi his angry) I am LOO (peruzzi phrase for 'I am loosing control' means I am angry or out of my mind) By the way, Fireboy recorded the song as a freestyle, so the lyrics shouldn't be taken seriously. Nigería 🇳🇬 to the world
Ed’s acts blacker then most black people and knows more about black culture’s them most black people Ed turns up at all the cookouts his comfortable in any surroundings
The Peruvian government may have tweeted about it, but the song has nothing to do with Peru the South American country. It’s about a girl called Peru which coincidentally is also the name of a country.
You're right about it not been about Peru country, but it's not about a girl... It's actually about his friend, a Nigerian artist called 'Peruzzi' , He is signed to davido's label (DMW), and he is fond of saying 'I am LOO-oosing control' (anytime he is angry or emotional)... Nice one ladies...I enjoyed your reactions and innocence about not knowing what 'Peru' meant and thinking about Peru as a country😅. Peru is the name of the girl he was singing for; Para means an angry reaction. Therefore, he was saying that Peru was angry about the fact that he was having fun travelling around the world and wanted by others girls everywhere he went. The remaining part of the lyrics is him explaining the situation to the girl.
Not correct man Fireboy did this freestyle about him beating Peruzzi (another solid Afrobeat artiste) on PlayStation soccer just before then. This song wasn't intended to diss anyone, but a mix of his fun Fireboy DML had in the USA then and his quest to be the best. He only added the love song part like every other song he does for a girl. The original sing had a verse he sounded so much like Wande Coal, an AfroPop ,R&B he admires a lot--an homage Get your facts right
@@alawodetosin6153 Thanks for the information. That was the hypothetical understanding I had of the song without knowing that background info. or the song would've made no sense with a woman in the equation! Also, with the fact that he started the song trying to explain something to the girl by saying "Omoge no be so".
@@alawodetosin6153 how sure are u with this explanation? Because the other guy seems to be very correct with the explanation he gave due to the lyrics of the song and the video that we saw
Cool reaction. 😘 But the “Peru” here is not a reference to the country, but a name Peru (or Peruzzi). Check out other Fireboy DML hits such as “Jealous”, “Vibration” and “I Need You” etc. He’s a vibe. 🔥
Thanks for clarifying and giving the song suggestion. Never heard of Peruzzi before but I bet he is honored to have a song named after him (or at least references him a lot)😂
Am surprised that you guys don't know this name? "PERU" is actually name of mostly beautiful ladies. Welcome to world where you get known more names! FIREBOY is a great singer that needs to be nominated for Grammy, because he has Lots of hits songs. You guys need to check out his songs.... OK
"Oversabi" You nor like as Peruvian government follow hype di job? E get some kain coincidence wey dey bring more blessings. When it's like that, let it go like that!
The girl in the y’all shirt on the right was feeling it from the first beat. The girl on the left wanted to see him first - like man let me see you. Then the smile came in.
Ed Sheeran was taken in by the grime/drill/afro beats scene when he was beginning in music coz his own guitar playing pop music piers didn't like the competition
You people don’t know a thing about Ed it’s clear.😂 This song is completely Ed.The girl with the stripes is so much more mature and not annoying, please consider doing this channel alone.
nice Girls, good Reaction Ed have a good Flow,is in Shape, have Family and a good Charakter he is a Genius,he is shy, dancing is not for him,but he have Fun...............
This really is embarrassing yall literally did ZERO research into this song or these artists. Yall laughing at Ed as if this the first time hes done this genre or even the first time hes done rap/hip hop. Disrespectful and yall embarrassing
That dance move came to Africa like 25 years ago with shabbaranks and other Jamaican artists. It’s called the flex - you know the song - girl flex - time to have... By an artist called mad cobra.
I think Peru has a Nigerian meaning. You know the magic of Nigeria especially - Lagos is Yorubas speak broken English and we just make up some words to express meaning to what he wants to say. For example Davido sang see Gobe. Gobe has no meaning in English of Yoruba. But He just made up the word to mean trouble. In this instance - it can mean one of two things. He said I’m loooo. Like He is losing his mind. Which means Peru can mean he is getting angry. He also said won wami. Which means they are looking for me. So Peru can mean disappear, vanish or high flyer. Someone that travels a lot workout wasting time. 😀
You girls those are your people. That is real Naija. Not these lies that you are fed on TV. Ps support your own. Yes you are in America as I’m in the U.K. but your roots are across the water in Africa. If you don’t believe me look at the mirror - the mirror does not lie. Bringing it back though. I loved the way you felt the Afrobeat vibe even from the beginning. That big smile tells me you felt - this bus HEAVY LEGIT STUFF. Support Afrobeat. It’s coming straight from your motherland.
all the reactions i've watched have guys only talkin bout ed yet its fireboy's song i love ed till death but people should give fireboy more credit since the song is his
Naija guy here.. yall are so wholesome lol propa black babes ... oh by the way, put some respect on Ed Sheeran's G game. check out his full catalog Ed Sheeran beeeen vibing to black sounds, we talking New Jack swing etc. Check out "Sing" Edit: at the end only to find out ya'll are naija lol propa naija babes
Congratulations my friends!! ...Now here you have your best new year gift!!....Today it is very difficult to find reactors like you who have never reacted to the best singer in the world, Dimash Kudaibergen ... Maybe someone made you a request to react to Dimash, but you have not had time .... I am going to dare to recommend that you meet Dimash, because when you do it for the first time, your life as reactor will change forever ....For example, the number of views that you have today, it will increase by 300% in a matter of a few hours and you will get a lot of new subscribers.....But when you react to Dimash, don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did Dimash from the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one .... You can also start with the other famous live version of that song that Dimash did the following year 2018 when he was invited to the famous Slavic Bazzar festival in Belarus .... Both performances are from another planet .... Your live will never be the same again, after reacting for the first time to Dimash .... I hope to see you first reaction soon.....And please, remember me, because I will change your life forever!!
The song is called Peru not because of the country but to pay homage to the Nigerian rapper Peruzzi who had a song where he says " Im Looo" which is in the chorus to this song too. Then Para the part he says after Peru is some african dialect word meaning to be angry aka losing control which is what the "Im loooo" refers to which is the first part of Im looooosing control......The more you know!......by the way you girls are absolutely beautiful 😊✌️Keep up the great vibes!
It's called a reaction for a reason. You're assuming everyone in the world would get the 'Peruzzi' reference upon 1st listen. We only knew Ed's internationally known hits prior to this and there were others in the comments who kindly informed us of his work with afrobeat artists. Go listen to the original song instead of expecting every reactor to be a music scholar.
Yes in the U.K. the vibe is different from Africa. Naija is cool energetic while my British friends it’s more innocent, introvert, posh vibe. My Colleagues will turn red if you tell them to go dance with a girl in a club. 😃
Yes, please look into his discography. Check out his No. 5 Collaborations Project AND his No. 6 Collaborations Project. He's also worked with Fuse ODG, The Game, and Eminem just to name a few.
Their comments on Ed Sheeran are str8 racist, it would be different if it was the other way around. I’m Asian btw. Black people simply don’t want anyone integrating with them
@@chancethereactor lmao just be honest, if it was white RU-vidrs laughing at an African American on some kind of white culture music video you’d IMMIDIATLEY call them racist, but when it’s the opposite it’s whatever, too funny, fireboy should be kissing Ed’s shoes thanking him for boosting his song for BILLIONS of people to hear
I WANT YOU TO REACT TOO THIS KIZZ DANIEL SONG ''FLEX'' IT WAS RELEASE LAST MOST THE PODCAST THAT REACT TO THIS SOUND WHERE BLOW AWAY..iF YOU LISTING TO THIS SONG YOU WILL FELLOW SUIT
LOL Peruvian government talking about him given them publicity even though the original song had nothing to do with Peru until Ed's verse when he said, ''PERU? na i would rather go somewhere more quiet''. Anyway any publicity is good for Peru.
True. When we made this video we weren’t aware of his rap history and work with rappers and Afrobeat artists, but I have a video coming out soon where I address this.
It's a great collaboration and track. I don't like how the girl on the right keeps mocking Ed for pretty much everything he does. Almost like he shouldn't be on the track 😂. If only she knew what Ed has done for upcoming Worldwide artists giving them a platform to grow
Errrmmm Ed is not out of his comfort zone. There's too many songs to even list. He just doesn't release on his platform. Like you mentioned Bad habits and didn't mention the official remix with Tion Wayne, but that was not released on Ed's platform.
