Geoff does it all! He arranged, sang all 4 parts, produced, and edited the video! ... And that last bass note was a G1. Geoff is such and impressive person! A couple others that were impressive to me are "16 Tons" and "Blackbird".
I have been singing bass for about 40 years, this song made me say well I'm a tenor now. I cried to be honest. Beautifully done. If only they'd used this version in the movie. Yup Easgasms!!!
You could see her trying to brace herself for that last note and then realizing that it was hopeless and just giving up to the feeling generated. Loved it.
More so than the lows, the overall tone of this song and his voice just match the song from the hobbit movie so we'll. Much more so than the peter and Tim version. Geoff's voice just conveys the emotion of the song better than any cover I have heard. One of his best covers.
I love you so much. You're such a sweet person. And I love the video. So haunting. Oh don't tell him to stop doing that, it's what we watch him for. LOL Your reactions are entirely understandable. He does indeed vibrate your whole body. What I love about your reactions is that they're so authentic. I see some sitting deadpan, umoved, I see other over-acting so much it's ridiculous, but yours I always enjoy. Peace.
I like you as a reactor on RU-vid. You are one of my favorites because you don't stop the videos multiple times. You wait to give your reactions at the end or on a harmony section. Instead of what others do where they pause it 5 to 10 times. And the videos are like 20 mins long. Good work keep at it 👍👍👍
I swear my ears were vibrating through out this video it was so good and I love your reaction so much and hey your subscribers love odd and weird that’s one of the reasons we subbed to you and your a lot of fun as always stay safe and lots of ❤️ coming from Philadelphia
Do Not apologize for the REAL emotions you show, they let us know how you feel. You are one of the best (In my opinion) "reactionaries" on this podium, and really fun to watch, so don't change.
It does not matter how this song is sung. J. R. R. Tolkien's songs, all of them, have a level of magic that is unparalleled. You could be in a really hot room, and get chills. You could be in a really cold room and feel warm. You could be very calm, and then feel excited. You could be really excited or anxious, and then feel clam. These lyrics are filled with magic. Even in the real world.
4:07 "He has no right doing this!" is similar to other comments I've seen on different vids where Geoff hits those deep notes; my favorite is "He touches me in uncomfortable places with that voice." ^o^ We get that feeling because he sings directly into our inner beings, disregarding our outer walls. ^o^
Bill Sentry -- -- We ( The men in the audience ) have a tendency to appreciate women being emotional. It's a skill we have suppressed to be men. At times we are like children, but we will make the greatest sacrifice merely because we are needed. You bring us comfort, and a place we trust to find a true and faithful heart to share life with. -- You allow us tender emotions. Emotions are a 'weakness' we are forbidden. It interferes with deadly activity. Yet where else our passion come from to fight, to build a world safe against the elements, to war against the unjust, and the unforgiving. And when our task is complete ... We see the path which lies ahead for our world and for you, whom we strive to protect.
I tend to prefer playing music low. That said, I increase the bass quite a bit (the bass doesn't damage the ears as much as the tremble). But yeah, this was amazing. Tried listening to his version of sixteen ton?
I first caught wind of this video today. Then I started seeing reaction videos pop up. I noticed other people did the same as me. Why do we all do this uncontrollable crazy giggle thing when he does the bass drops??? Personally I think it's because when we hear that bass drop, our mind can't connect with an emotion we've never felt and don't know how to react. Everybody does the giggle thing.
You're a lovely human. I really enjoy your reactions; they are beautifully authentic. And really, who among us hasn't been rendered incomprehensible by Geoff's voice?
@@thebeanerjeremie4326 When woman are sexually aroused their vaginas produce vaginal fluid made primarily of water, along with some salts like phosphate and sodium chloride, organic compounds such as lipids and amino acids, antibodies that help the body reduce risk of infections, and old cells from the lining of the vagina, uterus, and cervix. I think that is what he is referring to.
The intro music is haunting. I love the moving melodic line, the unusual harmonies and atmospheric costuming and setting. A beautiful version. Thanks for your reaction.
Peter and Tim have competition. Aurora "Cure For Me"and BTS "Permission To Dance" both released new videos yesterday. Also you should check out the new Ed Sheeran video "Bad Habits", it would be good for your spooky channel, I won't say anymore is I don't ruin the surprise.
I love your Castellucci reactions. Obviously, his low notes affect you, and I think I know why, which makes me chuckle even more, especially when you chuckle. Too funny 😆
I know you said you have to wait for your boyfriend on this one, but please react to 'The Sad Cat Diary' by zefrank1 soon. Its really funny and I know you will both love it.
i encourage my kids to accept that they are weird. We ARE all weird some times, in some ways. IT's healthy to not only accept that weirdness and oddity but, embrace that very oddity as it is often the thing that can make us special, even extraordinary.
I loved your reaction.. your correct about vibrations entering the body.. the eardrum is built almost like a fetus is.. and is also why babies react so intensely to sound especially since they are literally surrounded in fluid, almost like being in an ocean of vibrations. Anyways you take care that was amazing to watch, thanks for sharing.
I completely understand. As someone who regularly suffers from sensory problems, Geoff hits those same buttons, but hits them in a way that just feels so good
Geoff completely blows Tim and Peter out of the water in my opinion. Not meaning to insult Tim, but I can't get past his vowel sounds "Far ouver the misteey mountains cold" is all I can focus on XD Too much southern accent coming through T_T And yes... I have the feeling of "He has no right doing this" pretty much every time he sings these days! Heck, my first thought when I saw he'd done Country Roads was "Dang it, Geoff, that isn't fair!"
It is good. .... But good enough to risk ear damage? Don't turn the volume up that much. You might not be able to listen to his music in all detail later on.
I started my night listening to Geoff's rendition about a dozen times in a row... then I went on a binge of reaction videos. Yours is far and away my favorite; not only the emotion but I really appreciate that you didn't pause the video every 15 seconds to commentate. Don't get me wrong, one or two of the other reactors pointed out things I would otherwise have missed (Mortius in particular had inciteful observations) but the emotional buildup is lost when the song is interrupted. Well done.
Yeah, infrasonics can cause some weird sensations. . Y'know, one of these days, Geoff's gonna accidentally hit the "brown note" and reactors across RU-vid will be embarrassing themselves...
theres no explanation needed 🙂, artists who put their "heart" into their music, get that reaction outta me as well. im glad you dont fake yours like so many do. keep it real 🤘😎
Everyone reacts to things differently. We love you for you! No apologies necessary! Geoff has a way of surprising us most of the time! I enjoyed your reaction!
@DeadGrl: The way I usually try to explain it is... ...you don't hear Geoff with your ears & eardrums.. ...you hear him with your ribcage & diaphragm. His lowest notes rumble like the purr of a giant jungle cat. AS FOR YOUR APOLOGY... ... don't. You honor us, that we're permitted to share in your reactions. You have done nothing that requires an apology.
I have a low voice, and a high vocal ranger, but I CANNOT sing that low. I have a vocal range like a frikking piano, like seven octaves, but the depth on this is simply one I don't have.
It's like Geoff just does videos like this, just to show off. Tim Foust of Home Free can also hit low notes; however I believe that Geoff can hit even lower notes, and on a regular basis. You can "feel" his unique baritone in your soul.
