Were these guys big in Germany or in Europe during their heyday ? I was a teen in "71. Being from the US, I wasn't exposed to many German bands other than The Scorpions. Through RU-vid I've discovered the amazing world of German hard rock, prog rock, Krautrock. I had no idea how vast that world really was. I'm constantly being surprised by the quality of rock and all of its genres that came out of Germany. When I heard this LP my reaction was, Holy shit these guys rock and then I cranked the volume
No, definitely not. Back in the 60's and 70's America, Britain and Germany were full of small prog, hard rock, heavy metal, and kraurock bands who toured a lot, possibly attracted local or passing popularity as live performers, but only ever put out one or two records before retreating to complete obscurity. As far as I know Reaction is among the most obscure ones there are; the reason you've probably not been exposed to much German stuff is because truly only a few German bands have reached international superstardom. Scorpions is obviously the largest ones, with the likes of Kraftwerk, Accept and UDO following behind
I had a radio showin Chicago during that period and played a lott of those records on my show. A lot of the bands from Germany were produced by Conny Plank a brillian t engineer search him on discogs to see all the bands he had a hand in,

Not to be confused with the excellent Japanese metal band from the 1980's of the same name. The songwriting here is pretty much paint by numbers and the production blows. Don't waste your time.
