Check out American Eurovision blogger and fan Alesia Michelle's reaction to Greece's Eurovision 2020 entry sung by Stefania. The song is called "Supergirl," will it grab Alesia's attention? Will it WOW on the #ESC2020 stage in Rotterdam?
Greece will be probably my overall winner of Eurovision 2020. I'm obssesed with this song and those powerful Greek ethnic sounds kill it, I could definetly see this as eurovision winner. Congratulations Greece!!🇬🇷 (I think there won't be clear winner this year until rehearsals, like in 2017)
From all the songs that were chosen i could only see 3 countries having a realistic chance to win: Lithuania, Iceland and Germany! Maybe Sweden and Russia will bring some more interesting stuff like Dotter for Sweden and some crazyness for Russia but you are right we have to wait for the rehearsals!
When I first heard it I was like no, but after listen to it multiple times after that it’s in my top 10 now, so I think you have to listen to a couple of times before you can say if you like it or not! GOOD JOB GREECE 🇬🇷
The chorus is great, catchy and I like how this song is age appropriate, but the song relies way too heavily on the chorus and I wanted more lyrical depth but staged well I think this could do quite well at Eurovision wishing Greece luck and love the reaction keep it up :)
I have been desperately craving a bop and I'm happy it's Greece! My winner so far and with the way these song releases are going it may stay as my favorite until the live shows.
Ohhhh, i was waiting for this - I just LOVE Greek vibes in that song...it is pure and just magical. And Greece is my second home, so, i kind of know why Greek music is so unique.
This is such a cute song, the video is amazing, and it's very age appropriate. I hope Greece stages this as well as they used to and I could finally say Greece is BACK AT IT! Sooo happy for them 💚💚💚
Definite top 10 -- and for SURE in the upper half of that for me -- will depend on staging and delivery on the night but ABSOLUTE POTENTIAL to win it all -- Stefania just has that energy and confidence and if it really hits it could be Kalispera Greece 2021!
I actually like the music, the vocal and the composing of the song. This could be a potential winning material if the team brings the whole show on the stage as Fuego did. And yes I agree with you that the last year Zena sold the show and song out with her enthusiasm and 110% energy. This one could be too. I just wish it won't do as same as last year's one entry that the main girl gave us the flat facial expression in the bobbing song even the staging was well thought and backing dancers were good (I don't want to refer the name).
Im so happy that you like our song.Im from Greece and Stefania is amazing. Also about that Netflix show youre talking about...Maybe its 'Im not okay with this'? with Sophia Lillis?
I was waiting for your reaction since yesterday. Hehe. Thank you very much. You are gorgeous. How can you do that? I has low expectations but i can admit that i really love the song. Hehe. Kisses 🤗
This is an EXCELLENT song.. for JuniorESC. I love the ethnic vibes, but the lyrics and overall feel to the song seems very juvenile. I just hope the staging pops!
Johny 7even Please explain to me how it’s ridiculous. I give credit where credit is due, and like I said previously it has a good ethnic vibe, with a possibility to have amazing staging. However, they lyrics are a little infantile and the song as a whole feels like it would bring in a younger audience which would suit JESC much more. I’m not saying it’s a bad song, and it would hands down win JESC.
Go Stefania!!!.The more I listen,is the more I believe you can win!!!.So catchy, love the sexy Greek vibe injection,in the song.Good Luck!!!!.Love from London!!.
Yo, Alesia. If you're wondering how her vocal might play out during a dance number, check out her performance as part of a girl group for the Netherlands at Jesc 2016. And she's only older now and most probably more experienced and trained. I have real hopes for this one. In fact, I think she's a direct and a very real threat to Dotter. Sweden really has to think this Melfest through. I know they love "Bulletproof" the most for now but Greece low-key might win this duel. I'd back out of this and send Anna or the Mamas.
I find it so odd when people find the video distracting! I mean since when is watching a music video and listening to a song at the same time considered multitasking?
A lot of pople are saying that it sounds like a childish song. So what? All these spanish-american-latino song hits of the last few years, if you listen well, sound like kindergarden music, as well. Don't let the asses and the enlarged boobs on the music videos distract you from what you really hear.
I love the ethnic vibes ... this just feels very Junior Eurovision to me. It's good. Don't get me wrong. It would win Junior Eurovision. It actually reminds me A LOT of the song that won Junior Eurovision last year. I just don't know about this song in the main contest. It might do OK in Rotterdam. It would win at JESC.
