The Oak Ridge Boys are all in their 70s or 80s. William Lee Golden (long beard) was born in 1939. Elvira is their most famous song with the bass line of oom papa mow mow. Fun to see Home Free do this together with them. Another fun fact, go back and watch the end of this video and you will see them give thanks to Geoff Castellucci from VoicePlay for creating the arrangement they used in this video.

The Oak Ridge Boys sang this song back in 1981. The really neat thing about this is the the Oak Ridge Boys became mentors to Home Free. Tim when he was growing up always wanted to be Richard Sterban from the Oak Ridge Boys. The Oak Ridge Boys have had them sing with them at many venues. Always truly enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.

This song was a huge hit for the Oak Ridge boys back in the 80’s. They also sing Star of Bethlehem together live. It’s really good. Home Free has a lot of fun with this song in concerts with Tim going really low and getting the audience to participate. It’s a lot of fun. Good reaction Lisa😍

This really gives me the sense of "Oak Ridge Boys Past" meeting "Home Free fellas future". The ORB' bass, Richard Sterban, sang bass for Elvis Presley early in his career. Home Free definitely collaborated with true country legends on this song--and I LOVE this collaboration❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

You're so right, Lisa! This is such a fun collaboration! I never get tired of it! I grew up hearing the Oak Ridge Boys. They started in Oak Ridge, Tennessee which is about an hour north of me! They started out as a Gospel group & still do some Gospel music! Home Free is so respectful of the older guys in their collaborations: Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Don McLean & Oak Ridge Boys. 🤗&😘from SE Tennessee, USA!😊

This is a great collaboration between Home Free & The Oakridge Boys. "Elvira" was a huge hit for The Oakridge Boys in 1981. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oakridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a younger version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.

If you'd like to hear another collaboration with Home Free & the Oak Ridge Boys, check out their Christmas song "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem", it also has Jeffrey East in it, I absolutely love these two groups singing together!! 🥰🍟

Massive Shout out to Tim Foust, Geoff Castellucci, and VoicePlay for the arrangement of this song. Absolutely love it. I grew up hearing the Oakridge Boys on the radio and seeing them on TV back in the '60s.

Thank you Lisa for reacting to Home Free! Love this one so much! Yes Adam killed this one and I love Tim beating Richard Sturban in the bass note battle! For fun! So cool! Mr Sturban used to sing bass for Elvis Presley as a young man. You are spot on on the relationship between these gentlemen. The Oak Ridge Boy's look at Home Free as the future of their type of music. Like passing the torch to them. A huge honor since The Oak's are some of the GOATS of country music. So proud for our guy's with the collaboration's of many talented and famous musicians. Oh, btw Tim had a premiere earlier today for his latest video release from his Doo Wop album Pieces of Me, it's absolutely Gorgeous! You might get a really nice surprise! Titled "SINCE I DON'T HAVE YOU" Also Home Free has a new album titled So Long Dixie and they have released several videos from it. 1-" WHAT'S LEFT OF MY HEART" 2- "SAVE THE WORLD" 3- "UNDERSTAND" All but 2 of the songs on the new album are original's by the guy's with co writers. You will absolutely love it. It is on the Home Free RU-vid channel. Thx again for Home Free Friday! Sending love from South Georgia, USA ♥️😀🍟

I saw The Oak Ridge Boys in the 80s at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall. The tenor and the bass have maintained their voices best of the four in the nearly 4 decades since I last saw them. You've reacted to several of my faves already. Officially, my HF faves are: / Man of Constant Sorrow / Ring of Fire (w/ Avi Kaplan) / American Pie (w/ Don McLean) / God Bless the USA (w/ Lee Greenwood & US Air Force band) / Sea Shanty Medley / Butts Remix / Elvira (w/ The Oak Ridge Boys) Seems like I add another song about every 10 days to 2 weeks.

Humphrey have always been fans of the Oak Ridge boys! Both groups have become friends over the years!! Please watch last year‘s collaboration they did with the Oaks and Jeffrey East singing “Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem!! other collaborations they’ve done are with Kenny Rogers singing “Children children go where I send thee”; “Christmas in Dixie” with Alabama; “Tender Tennessee Christmas” with Rachel Womack!! My favorite “I’ll be home for Christmas!! Check out the Christmas albums!!

The Oak Ridge Boys have been a very popular and iconic country music group for many years. Austin had the shirt that the Oak Ridge Boys autographed put in a frame to hang in his home.

Quite surprised you haven't reacted to their cover of Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash and if features Avi Kaplan (then) from Pentatonix. Great cover! Lots of Bass! Their cover of Brothers In Arms as well.
