7:05 The type is called Electric, and you are right about that. Also, since Breloom is part Grass-type, this means that it resists Electric. The Electric type has only one weakness, Ground, by the way. 8:46 The "weird thing" you are talking about is Spinda, a pure Normal-type Pokemon introduced in the third generation. 9:04 The Pokemon in the PC are (from left to right) Skitty (Normal), Numel (Fire/Ground), Gulpin (Poison), Wurmple (the bug on the ground, it is pure Bug type), and Illumise (the "flying thing", also pure Bug type). All of the Pokemon there are from the third generation. 17:22 Levitate was a thing back then, but the Magnemite line doesn't have it. The closest you can get to that under normal circumstances is the move Magnet Rise, a move introduced in the fourth generation that gives the line (and other Pokemon that can learn it) a temporary immunity to the Ground type. 21:45 In all main series games starting with Pokemon X and Y from the beginning of the sixth generation, the Exp. Share is much easier to handle since it can give experience to all your Pokemon. Additionally, these were the first games in experience can be obtain through catching Pokemon. Starting with the Let's Go games, (which were released in 2018, around the end of the seventh generation), the Exp. Share is now built in the games (although I might not be right with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl due to their vast similarities to the original Diamond and Pearl, but I believe it works the same as in Sword and Shield). 27:11 Yes, all of the Pokemon you're seeing there are Dragon-type. There are two Flygon, an Altraia, a Salamence, and a Shelgon. 27:50 Yes, it is quite strong. Its base stat total is 600, higher than most regular Pokemon and is a Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon, a name for a group of Pokemon that fans use to refer to a Pokemon that has a base stat total of 600, is the final stage of a three-stage evolutionary line, and is in the Slow experience group. Most are Dragon-type, however there are two that aren't: Tyranitar (Rock/Dark) and Metagross (Steel/Psychis).

There's a whole type matchup chart out there including every type's advantages, weaknesses, and resistances. i highly recommend using it for nuzlockes if you don't know the type matchups. Also, good luck with the Emerald Kaizo

The reason pokemon challenges doesn't use set-up moves(Dragon Dance, Sword's Dance, Double Team) is that he is at a skill level where he doesn't think that is a challenge for him. Same with him not using Garchomp or other "Psuedo Legendaries"(A classification of pokemon with really high stats, usually they evolve into their final psuedo form late in the game and often the Champion will have on one their team(Steven Stone's Metagross/Cynthia's Garchomp/Lance's Dragonite). He also makes whiting out a loss in his rule set because he doesn't want to go through rebuilding his team. I would not advise a beginner using ANY of those specific restrictions, the rules that really make it a nuzlocke is "One Encounter per Route" "Permadeath" and some people think it's unimportant but "Nickname them to get attatched" is part of the origonal true spirit of nuzlocking.

Metagross is what is known in the community as a Pseudo Legendary. Same as others such as Dragonite, Garchomp, and a few others. There is usually only one pseudo legend per generation, but gen 3 had both Metagross and Salamence. They are some of if not the strongest Pokémon of their region.

Wait is Emerald Kaizo your first Rom Hack? That's a pretty big spike in difficulty. I mean, good luck, but if you want to Nuzlocke it or, even worse, Hardcore Nuzlocke it you may need the documentation, a calculator and, ironically enough, a ruler. All jokes and worries aside, Pokemon Challenges has won a Pokemon Emerald Kaizo Hardcore Nuzlocke and made videos about it. Maybe you can react to them? If you want to avoid some spoilers about the rom you should definitely watch them after playing it! Hardcore means adding the following rules: -No Overlevelling the next gym leader's Ace before the fight with said Gym Leader (He ended up having to be more lenient with some level caps in the early game) -No items in battle (So, no X Items, no potions and no revive) -Set mode. He won on attempt number 151. If you are interested, he has recently posted a video about his 150 failed runs detailing the experience. --- I hope you have a great day!

Slaking has a base stat total (BST) of 670 which is equal to that of Kyogre and Groudon the legendaries of that generation. The only reason why it is not considered more powerful, but still deadly is bc of Truant and that there's no plot between the 4th and 5th gym so there's little training with high level pokemon
@delmattia96
@delmattia96 2 года назад
On the topic of "Keeping the pokemon weak to the gym out", it's actually a pretty recognized strategy to bring some "bait pokemon" weak to the gym (for example, Gyarados to a Watson fight). This is true because if you have a gyarados on the battlefield the enemy will always use an electric move, guaranteeing you a perfect switch in a Ground pokemon, without worrying about them using an effective-coverage move while you switch in the pokemon you selected to fight the enemy. Also, if it's pre-paralyzed the enemy will also avoid using thunder wave on the switch. Honestly, learning how to pivot and switch correctly is one of the things that were most difficult to learn while doing Hardcore Nuzlockes. Still, even if you don't play with Set Mode, this concept of Baits will still be useful for things like PP-stalling (Where you make the enemy pokemon use up all of his attacking moves -or just the threatening ones- so that you can have a clean switch and/or have a pokemon against who to set up for a sweep). I am sorry if this might seem confusing, I am honestly not the best at explaining things.
@delmattia96
@delmattia96 2 года назад
I will reply under this one, because it's the same kind of content: advice. Be ready to sac' some 'mons in your runs, if you decide to do some nuzlockes. There is something called "the Snowball effect" where a lost pokemon might be just what you needed two gyms later and that makes you lose a pokemon that you would have needed for a trainer in the next rout that makes you lose two pokemons and ... - you get the meaning, it's a snowball that eventually crushes into a strong trainer and you wipe. Being ready to sacrifice a pokemon that you don't need anymore to keep the rest of the team is a huge thing, especially if you use items and can heal stall to heal the rest of your squad. Also, Self-destructing and Exploding on Double Battles is a great strat in Kaizo and other romhacks.
@Mattables
@Mattables 2 года назад
Luckily I’m just doing the Kaizo normally! So I can ease into learning the difficultly and basic strats before more nuzlocking!
@delmattia96
@delmattia96 2 года назад
@@Mattables I felt like this would be useful knowledge in preparation for any difficult or unfair romhack. While I realize that it's not up to me to teach you and that you did not even ask me to, those were important concepts that I struggled with when I had just gotten started with the various radical red/inclement emerald and the likes. I hope you will forgive me if I overstepped my boundaries. It's my most sincere wish that you might have your best experience with EK, after all. Be well!

Always love some pokemon content. Pokemkn fact: I hate Jinx. I never liked that pokemon or her baby first evolution. Some reasons is that I'm scarred from how it looked in gen 1 lol, bjt also because ice types were annoying in gen 1. If you was frozen, you was frozen solid for the whole game until you either used an ice heal or the opponent used a fire type move. I thought i could at least PP stall but I ended up finding out that opposing trainers have unlimited PP for their moves. So I hate ice types in generall all thanks to gen 1, and the ugly jinx from Lorelie in the Elite 4 always loved to freeze me

If you are interested in knowing about why Ruby/Sapphire story was so weird, it's because it's a reflection of a real environmental conflict that happened in the makers' lives. I don't remember much, since I watched a video years ago, but the story is so odd because both teams are an exaggeration of real groups of people. If you can find it, it was definitely an interesting video. I was sure I would get bored and not like it, but the exact opposite was true. I am just said I can't remember well how it was called and who made it.

Whismer is an unfortunate overlooked normal type in gen 3. Even Zigzaggoon has more fan base love than the screaming one. Heck when the games came out no one bothered with it. Exploud, the final form, is a right nightmare with the proper training. A physical attacker with no apologies about the damage it can do. I did a 'normal' run of gen 3 and it came in clutch.
