Yesterday was John & Jill's 50th Wedding anniversary.💕 Have been waiting for this doco to be released. Our cinemas are gonna be packed. Much love from Australia. 🇦🇺💕
I'm so glad they were able to celebrate 50 years, I hope he is home or will be soon. Yes, theaters will be packed, lines all the way to the west! 😆 I'd go if I could but that is one expensive movie ticket coming from the USA. LOL
@@reactiontalk John is currently in hospital after being admitted last week with a severe respiratory infection. 😥 We are all wishing him a swift recovery from this latest health setback.
Saw it today at an advanced screening for Mother’s Day. It is wonderful, sad and happy. His first manager should be ashamed but I knew that. Take tissues. Thank you. ❤ John was terrified no one would come. He did concerts for 10 to 15 people. Glenn promised that if it wasn’t sold out he would take him home. He never broke that promise. Yes, John is out and home but still on medication for the infection.
Seen the movie John is a legend what a comeback he went from a lightweight performer that every Grandmother loved to the coolest guy on the planet once he had control of his own destiny his awesome talent & personality shone like a beacon . He never had any controversey his whole life remained true to himself & his family , I tip my hat to you John . Australia has always had a love affair with John but his legend just grows as time passes and it is awesome to watch many singer reactors from around the globe discover & acknowledge his Talent !
I see that John's Manager Glenn Wheatley just passed away in January. That must have broken John's heart. I for one will fight hell and high water to see John at the Cinema. Let us hope that everyone can see this movie soon. Like John, I also came from England and made Australia my home, many decades ago. I am an old man now, but when I hear him sing, my spirits light up, and I am transported to a black and white TV show, and I beam a smile hoping that John will catch it.
Yes Glen did and their families where intwined together God parents to their kids and hung out together all the time by all reports and few months before finding out he had cancer he lost lo g time friend Oliver who been fighting cancer for many years go into remission and come back then he found out just after he had cancer so last few years been hard for their families
My daughter brought me tickets for Mother’s Day to go see his movie doco today, oh I couldn’t believe my luck, without giving away too much as I don’t want to spoil it for others. But I can say I was teary at the end. I’m so glad his story has been told, but we can credit his manager also that had a lot to do with John’s successes also, but more importantly they were soul friends in the end.
The fact Glenn Wheatley was willing to mortgage his own home to gather the money to create his own Record Label so that he could MAKE a contract to restart Johns Music Career on his own. Glenn then sort out other struggling aussies to give them the chance that no one else would. Nearly all those aussies are now well established and have very successful careers thanks to Glenn. During that time Glenn fell on hard times too, only to find John bailing him out of trouble in return. Glenn's death shattered John and he disappeared for quite awhile from the public eye. Couple years later he also lost Olivia which hit him again hard when he was still struggling with the loss of Glenn. Then his own Cancer diagnoses, surgery and sickness. The Aussie Public and also even Aussie Musicians and Artists all revere him for what he is. An Aussie Icon, Legend, down to earth and perfect example of what a typical Aussie at heart really is.
Yes, I can’t wait for This John Farnham movie!! The most phenomenal singer and performer ever!!! Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary John and Jill. ❤ Get well soon John . Sending lots of love and well wishes. Xo
I clearly remember the late 1970's as a young teen and how uncool he had become. He was King of Pop in the early 70's a few times and became very popular very quickly but we have a thing here in Oz called the "Tall poppy syndrome" and I think he became a victim of that. I remember how much my Nan loved him because he sang at all the 60 and over clubs, Bowls club and was a favorite of the "Blue rinse set". which made him a laughing stock to the teenagers at the time. Best move he made was joining Little River Band in 1982, he got a chance to show off his voice again to a new audience who were into the MOR music popular in the US. LRB always got a lot of airtime in Australia, I hated Down on the Border but the rest of that album was pretty good. No surprise he kicked on to a great solo career after that.
Lovely reaction sis, don’t order a copy. I’ve a,ready done it for you and for myself. Way ahead of you. Yes, he’s been through a lot lately. He’s strong & determined. Yesterday was his Golden wedding anniversary of 50 yrs together with Mrs. FARNHAM. I’m looking forward to this. I’m going to wear my Farnsey t shirt and bring my Farnsey tote bag with me on the day. Not long to go now. 😃😃😃
@@carolynh8866 early release on Mother’s Day Sunday 14th of May for the Doco. I got my ticket already, it’s already nearly booked out in my local cinema!
Same as you, just finding out about it now . In 69 years I have only left these shores once..... for about 30 days in New Zealand..... but this appears to be in the can, Finnished, and I have heard nothing. Must be a crash hot marketing team of know nothing computer and IT nerds. lol
The movie was a success 👍. The movie 🎥 was only supposed to run for 2 weeks but by popular demand it ran 9 weeks and smashed the Australian record for doco. Last night it actually screened on live television, so we were spoiled 😮 you can laugh and cry but it makes you love/admire him more, such a kind and generous person that was genuinely gifted. John still hadn’t watched it yet as his son said he never watches himself but they said the would make him watch it on the tv 📺 😁 By the way update on health 24!07/2023 John has improved adequately to walk with a stick, and is very positive and is making steady progress according to his son, so that’s good to hear 🎤😁👍
Some of the other earlier performances you could check out Raindrops, In My Room, Friday kind of Monday, Rose Coloured Glasses, One, Comic Conversarions, Jaimie, Baby Without You, Rock Me Baby, Lucille ...are all from the 60's and 70's
@@reactiontalk Hi Ang. I'm always around especially when i see Farnsey and Barnesy and a few other favourites😊. I am working more these days so not as much time to watch or comment on many reactions. But I do watch and like quite a few of them. You and Rollen are my favourite reactors❤
@@jeffwilson7100 I remember sitting in the school bus on the way to swimming lessons and singing Raindrops with my freinds We were crazy about him haha
The best part is he'll get to see it But make me wounder how bad his health really is It's a very good song your looking for We've not herd anything so my guess he's still in hospital
I saw it in the cinemea when it came out. But going to watch it again tonight as its playing on Chanel 7. You might be able to catch it on their streaming service.
@@reactiontalk Thanks Angie I stopped coming to your site as it seemed that you were hardly online. Robert and Rollen indicated that you were receiving some nasty feedback and that was why you were staying offline. I know I was somewhat harsh in the early days too. I guess there's a fine line between in opinions an outright nastiness. You and I share a love of music that Rollen now doesn't want to get into so maybe we can be in touch more if that's o.k. with you. I miss knowing how things are with you guys and all the followers....makes me a bit of a sad case I suppose but I really like you guys over there and I do check in and watch what you guys' are into. As I've said for some 3+ years I was so terrified of Covid given my underlying health issues and that basically if it wasn't for you and especially Rollen during that time I don't know if I would still be here. I was abled to spew my Grumpyness with Rollen especially and even when he was gently metaphoriscally giving me a spanking he was kind. I do have warm feelings to you both and I'm sorry for any hurt that I caused you. I hope that you are ok to be in touch and for me to suggest some reacts. Love to you 🤗
@@grumpybumme3289 Wow! How sweet of you to share all of that Grumpy! I lost passion for the reactions because I'm a different kind of reactor than Rollen and he seemed to bring out a lot of the haters and I was not in a good mental state to deal with it all. I don't mind controversy, but it can't be 24/7. I was also going through my own mid-life crisis, health issues, finance issues, and a lot of self-loathing. I'm one that needs to be in a good place emotionally to do reactions. Finally, after a hit at the bottom, I was able to pick myself back up enough to start doing solos again. I've never considered you one of those haters Grumpy, you are just you. Only once did I get upset with you and that was early on before I learned how to deal with it. I enjoy seeing you in the comments and you have created much humor and joy in our lives. Even if you didn't watch the banana peel video. 😆 You are the reason John Farnham is on this channel and all the Aussies you brought over to share in the joy of his discovery is special. We really like you too Grumpy and our journey with reactions wouldn't be the same without you being part of it. I can't express how much joy and love we have for you and all the entertainment you also provide to others in the comment. No hard feelings Grumpy, you are special and glad you enjoy hanging out with us when you can. Send the suggestions over, Love & Hugs to you! 💗🤗💗🤗💗🤗
Hi Angie ,just wanted to tell that you may be interested in this tribute to john, its called From sadie to superstar, A tribute to the voice. Just to watch if you have sparetime as its 2hours but so good .xx love you channel you are just beautiful ,and so is your hubbie .
Hi again Angie i just watched an old john song it was so good so thought i would let you know ,it called ,Things to do ,1975 old and so different I loved it.xx
Hi Angie. You’re right- the documentary movie will only be screened in Australia for a limited time. Fairly sure there wouldn’t be a market for it in the US (🥲🥲) However I believe you can pre-order the DVD now.
The CD is definatley being released on the 19th. You can order and pay for it already. They've been doing pre release requests for the DVD. Pretty sure it'll be a no brainer and the DVD will come out soon after. The fan clubs are pushing for as many people as possible to pre order the CD so that it will enter the charts at number 1 Which will make the 7th consecutive decade of number 1s for him ..❤❤❤❤
