This is a GOOD one, folks! John Farnham brought the HEAT with this live performance of "You're The Voice." Check it out and don't forget to subscribe! #outonthatline #podcast #johnfarnham #reation #reactionvideo #music #australia #ootl
Aboriginal Aussie here. John is The Voice in Australia. We all wish him well in his recovery after surgery for cancer. He is our National Treasure. This man can sing. Sub because of your respectful reaction. Aussie will flock when you show respect mate. Lets see more hey : )
John is a National treasure here and is so very much loved by everyone. He’s an incredible singer, a great comedian and the loveliest person ever. The whole nation is affected by his health crisis - he’s just so very loved.
Hahaha! "Johnny can sing" is possibly the biggest understatement I've ever heard! Hahaha! This man is a legend. Now, in his hour of need, we just want to give back what he gave us for over half a century! Ditto on "Help" and (let's face it) basically anything that has a scent of the great man! Get well Farnsy! 💕
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra loved playing for John. Everyone did. Don’t call him Johnny, just John and he is our Legend. He is known as the Voice in Australia.
@@karenstrong8887 even Victorians feel sufficiently entitled to tell people what to do. Why? The guy was obviously having fun....and doing a great reaction.
Thank you for this! Awesome!! Agree with Carolyn you need to check out Help from this same concert. He slows it right down and so it’s a good one to appreciate his vocal genius. He can sing any genre, has a 3 octave range and has sung with the likes of Ray Charles, Tom Jones, Celine Dion and more! Oh and PS not quite full Scottish regalia, they are wearing Australia’s national tartan 😝
Oddly, I've never thought of this song as cheesy. Just powerful and moving. A song that genuinely unites people. In the last week or so Farnham had jaw surgery to remove cancer. Hope he is recovering well.
Much appreciate your great reaction. Nothing better then watching someone react and enjoy watching the voice singing you’re the voice. Yes he is more important to us then the queen by far he is a national treasure. I would suggest reacting to John singing a cover of the Beatles song “help” live at this same concert
John Farnham can sing alright, mate! He sings around A2 to G5, can sing in over twenty genres, has been in the business for five to six decades and has a very powerful and clear voice . These are some of the reasons that he is known as 'The Voice' in Australia and is regarded as rock royalty. There are a large number of his songs to choose from on video. Always see and hear John LIVE as he shines in concert and to get a taste of his personality. John is charismatic, energetic, playful, funny and a consummate professional. He is well-loved in Oz as you can see by the response of his audience. Our best wishes, thoughts and prayers go to him in this challenging time of his recovery after undergoing major surgery. PS. Please call him John as he dislikes being called Johnny.
GREAT reaction and what a way to win the Aussies over. He is THE Voice... Literally what everyone here in Aus calls him. He is a living legend and one of Australia's most loved entertainers with number one hits spanning consecutive decades from the 60's right up till 2016. And in his 70's could still belt out his iconic songs with as much power as he could in his 20's and 30's. This was his most famous song but There is so much more for you to discover. Would love to see you react to his arrangement of the Beatles Classic HELP from this same concert. You will be blown away and probably won't recognise it as a Beatles song after the Farnsey do over.. 🔥 🤜
John farnham is one in a billon singers. He should have been more notised world wide. He can master any kind of genre to perfektion. 110% live performer. Get well soon mr Farnham and back on stage again where you belong. ❤ PS THIS song was a world wide hit for him back in 86-87. And the album is still to this day one of the most sold album in Australia.
He would have been a star worldwide except staying in Australia close to friends and family was more important to him. They only had a contest to find a replacement for Freddie Mercury because John was asked first and declined.
One of Australia's great national treasures, John is now 73 years of age and recently had to undergo major surgery on cancer that was discovered in his mouth. We all hope and pray he will be able to sing again. One of the genuine nice guys in the music industry here in Oz...
me too, I love watching people discovering Jonny, jimmy Barnes, cold chisel, Olivia Newton John, Tina Arena, midnight oil, Guy Sabastian, and all the rest that Australia has to offer. 🇦🇺
@@OutOnThatLine Check John's "It's a Long Way to the Top" either with the Melbourne Symphony or his own version with his band!!! Brilliant simply is not justice!
A granny in Australia advises...only us reeeeally old Aussies can use the diminutive "Johnny". At 80 I have watched John (who is 73) thru his entire career, and have loved every second of him.
His live performances are always best. He gives that bit extra to his audience that makes it special. Any song by him is great. He can outperform anyone live. He also has a great sense of humour, a very funny guy and totally genuine.
G’Day Mate I can not over state what John is to Australians , not only is he one of the greatest vocalist and performers of all time but one of the nicest person you would ever meet. If he needed a kidney transplant you would be crushed in the rush to give him one. I just subbed, so keep those John Farnham reactions coming. Some songs to consider: Help with the MSO,Freedom,Burn for You Touch of Paradise, Romeo’s Heart, The Simple Life. “When the War is Over” 2003 last time tour will blow you away.
'You're the Voice' is his most well known song, but there are so many others that display his true vocal ability. Which is phenomenal. 'Gethsemane'- the last night in Sydney, 'Black Dog'- a sound check, 'When Something is Wrong With My Baby'- Live on Hey Hey it's Saturday with Jimmy Barnes. 'Help' live from that same concert is a must.
No one can sing this like him. He is our national treasure and I'm sure you will recognise him as an international treasure soon enough. Have you seen him singing this l8ve in Germany 110000 crowd? Soooo good. Another really good one is That's Freedom - watch John live because you get all his emotion and grittiness xxx
I agree with George Ibrahim and Dr_Kap who agrees with Carolyn H regards 'reacting' to John's performance from this same concert of The Beatles classic "Help" lol Love to see you getting into this I must have seen this performance a million times but it never ceases to give me goosebumps lol. More Please!! Sending you lots of love from Australia
I’m joining the others here in screaming: watch HELP from the same MSO concert. It was so much fun seeing you enjoy this and we all know you’ll love that one too 😊
John Farnham is as good as it gets!! He is an absolute legend and the nicest bloke you could ever meet. Try watching John sing this at 70 years of age in 2019 with Cold Play he is as good as ever!!! And the crowd of mainly 20-30yo’s know every word of it and absolutely love him. I seriously cannot say enough positive things about John.
I just saw you react to this video and subscribed. I first saw him when he was in Little River Band. Loved his singing. Had a baby in 95 and listened to them while walking the treadmill to lose the baby weight. Heard about his health and the last few days just went down deep in the rabbit hole learning about John before and after LRB. I’m still in the 80s and that will always be my fav music. Get well wishes for John and his family.
He's currently recovering from 12 hours surgery for mouth cancer and we all send him our best. This concert had so many great song from his fantastic version of the Beatles Help which you have to react to to an amazing cover of the ACDC hit it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll. The first John Farnham song I remember hearing is Sadie the Cleaning Lady, damm I'm old, which is the most 60's bubble gum pop song you've ever hear and still a fun listen.
Farnsy and Barnsey! I like Australia more and more as these comments keep coming in. Appreciate you checking us out and there will certainly be more Farnham reactions coming along soon!!
You now need to react to HELP, from the same concert. You will be blown further away, and with the audience participation at the beginning of the song.
Great reaction! A great song and an amazing singer! Yes, please react to "Help" performed by John at the same concert. It is one of the best interpretation of the Beatles song.
This is the kind message song that we all really need, to battle the helplessness so many of us feel. In little ways, or at the voting box, speaking up to make the world just that little bit better, even if we can’t save the world entire all at once. So many Aussie acts are better live than recorded and overproduced
If you want to see more of John - he is a good friend with Olivia Newton John and they have worked together several times. Here is their version of DARE TO DREAM at the Sydney Opening Ceremony of the Olympics 2000 - note use a VPN for Australia because mine was set for America and it won't let you see it - it works for Australia - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NwIfmS-Pml0.html Also the great concert THE MAIN EVENT with ONJ, John and Anthony Warlow (Australia's phantom from Phantom of the Opera): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qd-USQDe9dg.html It's 2 hrs 38 mins. You will love it. Also here is HELP (Beatles song) in the same concert with the MSO:- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dv54giOSRKs.html It's John's rendition and I think it was John Lennon that saw it and loved it. If you want to see vintage Farnham from 1967, here is his first TV performance for SADIE THE CLEANING LADY which he made a hit back then and he became the King of Pop. He was 18 then:- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eZeRmpvCjEw.html By the way he is known down here as THE VOICE.
as said by dr kap help is one of the best live performances of all time, a must, i would also recommend my favourite aussie female voice katie noonan doing a version of my baby just cares for me on the tv show rockwiz, sublime
John Farnham is in my opinion the best ever because he can sing any genre, he has a heap of range and he brings in that grit when he needs. Even when he hit 70 he sounded like he was still 40, amazing. John sings for his fans and for the love of singing, he really enjoys interacting with the crowd and even hits the high notes bending down shaking hands, just awesome. Yes John is an Aussie legend but he is loved just as much over here in New Zealand. He's not called THE VOICE for nothing he has such a unique voice. Some other popular hits of his you'll want to hear are THAT'S FREEDOM ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JWjtlMBl3Xo.html, WHEN THE WAR IS OVER ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BekbvlLzMWc.html. Oh and Your The Voice is considered Australia's unofficial anthem.
Great reaction bud. I grew up listening to that voice. Not sure if you have heard but John is having throat cancer surgery at the moment. We are all hoping he makes a full recovery. I would really appreciate it if you could react to any of the many artists and even ads that have been produced since the seekers first realised the song I am Australian a wonderful song that gives all Aussies so much pride
Hi from Australia. John is a fantastic vocalist, but then we have an awful lot of amazing vocalists and bands. Anyway, hope you enjoy any exploration of Aussie music you do
Plenty of other Aussie legends, need some Cold Chisel, Midnight oil, Baby animals, the Divinyls, Hunters and collectors, Paul Kelly, soy v spy, the Choirboys, the Angels. For the start of your education try cold chisel Bow River live
If you think that’s good, being at a live concert as most of commenting have seen him live - is SO much better - 50 years of John entertaining us here - how dam lucky are we. I bet others have described here, why he’s sadly stopped performing in his 70s 💞
I subscribed in the hope you will listen to John sing Help live with the Melbourne Orchestra, also live him and Jimmy Barnes "Something is wrong with my baby"
Omg that's the best reaction by far I'm glad you love John as much as we (us aussies) do xx ❤❤💔🥺 I sing along to this song and all his songs every time, being Australian "you're the voice" is our unofficial anthem & has been for 36yrs now ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰 Loovee John with all my heart & yesss he IS the VOICE!!! He means so much to all us Aussies xx when I heard he had cancer my heart sank💔🥺 but I hear he's recovering very well from surgery (he had some of his jaw removed) but he probably wont ever sing again but I'm glad he's doing good xx Check out Robbie williams singing "you're the voice" at AFL grand final he tribute the song to farnesy who was watching from his hospital room & was very touched by Robbie's performance 😢 tbh it made me cry xx but yeah check it out...
G'day mate glad to see an American with taste in music! If you like this then check out John Farnham singing " Playing to Win" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, you will love it!
He hasn't gone by "Johnny" in 50 years. I have seen John perform LIVE and it was fantastic. While the studio versions are great, the LIVE versions are better.

John does this song every performance for the last 37 years and especially every Benefit Concert thrown together to raise funds for disasters. 2009 he did it with "Coldplay" for "Sound Relief" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-19JN50bLKjY.html But this performance [ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lqjNWuM2z-Q.html ] was the last one he did. The benefit was for the massive bushfires at the start of 2020 with Sir Brian May of "Queen" and Olivia Newton John. Also Mitch Tambo singing it in Indigenous Language John was 70yo in this and it could be the last time we ever have a video recording of him perform this. So fitting it was with his Livy too! 💕 Enjoy! CHOOKAS! 💖
Much love from New Zealand :-) Love to see you do Harry Mack (Omegel Bars 72) freestyles off the top to strangers the reactions are worth it and he doesn't copywrite his content so its free to use, and you will get a lot of Mack fans subbing. (if you never heard of him you should not look and make your reaction a true First time reaction)
It’s a truly great song, and as good as the studio version is the live renditions are always better. Here’s a few random ones: Coldplay (with the grandkids of his original fans singing every word) and with Queen (who he almost fronted after Freddy passed) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-19JN50bLKjY.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lqjNWuM2z-Q.html
