(REACTION) Lovebites - My Orion 

This is the one song on the album that I have gone back and forth on in my head the most. It is so different from most of the others. This is almost "radio friendly" with that catchy chorus. I do like the way it lets Asami kind of go off, and the guitars aren't as crazy. I think this would be a great concert song, as it does have a great sing-along quality.

I feel like a lot of people don't quite get this song, so I'm really glad that you do. It's an excellent change of pace and just shows yet another side of what this band can do. Great stuff.

Fun and informative as always. Judgement day is both intensely heavy and achingly melodic in equal measure. The melody is nearly always a hallmark of Miyako’s work, whilst Asami has taken over from Miho as the band’s thrash composer…she loves it. Her vocals on this song are almost in contrast to the melody, in that the melody is (like Wicked Witch) very “pretty” but her vocals are out and out belting. Great live too. But no guitarguments this time.

Of course Lovebites always brings you back in time, usually while modernizing it. In this case I agree, that this is old school without a heavy modernization.

A catchy tune on this album. The funny thing about this song is the joke Asami is singing My Oh’Lion and not My Orion due to her English pronunciation. Even Lovebites makes fun of it. Watch their video with Lovebites reaction to it and you'll see. Fami even draws a picture of a lion.

The video of them reacting to their own song is hilarious. They were making fun of Asami's difficulty pronouncing "Orion"--Japanese switch our L and R sounds, so it comes out "O-Lion" if they don't make a special effort. In the video, they are all miming lions.

In case you missed it, the Metallica song is called "Orion", this one is "My Orion" 😉 Actually my favorite song from the whole album, with my favorite Lovebites solo section ever. Can't just get more melodic.

I get a Rainbow vibe from this song. The band, not the natural phenomenon. ;)
