Two legends. When Marcelito rehearsed the “Prayer” for his first time competition, the orchestra stopped playing cuz they didn’t know where the female voice came from. They thought it was someone off stage til they realized it’s him. Funny story. No vocal teachers in the Philippines, the Karaoke 🎤 is how they learn and perfect their talent that’s why Filipino singers are so good at singing sitting down. The mic is passed around. 👍

That concert was at the Araneta Coliseum which used to be the world’s largest where sports and other entertainments are held. You are thankful you have your grandparents when you were homeless, while Marcelito was all alone half his life trying to survive till God gave him this gift.

that was the first wish awards, morissette picked up 8 awards that night, 11 last year, her version of secret love song on wish 107.5fm bus has over 110 million views atm :)

Hi ladies, this was the 2nd Wish Awards. Morissette's Cover of Secret Love Song on the Wish bus in August 2016. Had so many millions of views. Morissette won 6 awards for her secret love song cover. A total of 8 awards for the night. Including for the first time, a Reactors choice award. Where a select number of reactors were invited to vote. And topped it off with that performance with Marcilito. His cover of The Prayer came out a little too late for that year's nominations.

Did you know that Marcelito also sang in a wedding (not sure, but it was a party) for a royal? I think it was in spain. The people ignore him at first, but when he sang, they looked at him and shocked. And then pull out their phones to record and go nearer to him 😂🤣😂 they didnt expect that.

You should check out other reactors' first time seeing Marcelito. The entertaining part is the surprise (which I won't go into). And the degree of surprise and disbelief depends on them not having done any research. Imagine how more surprised you would have been if you hadn't already read about his particular talent. "The Prayer" is one case where I think going into the performance blind is the best possible way to go. On the other hand, it's even better if they are already familiar with the Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli version. Check out his appearance on the Ellen Show, with the interview about his life and the surprise at the end.

He has a daughter not a son. His daughter is 4yrs.old and hopefully he and his wife plans for a playmate with their daughter soon. By the way, their daughter's name is Marcella Janiah, and they call her MJ. I'm a die hard Fan and he's my Countrymen and I'm so very PROUD of him. Take Care Ladies. GOD BLESS

Philippines got talent is his second reality show he join..the first one he don't make it..He enter PGT in 2011 second season..He join the show to find he family..and the whole country touch by his story..and help him to find his family..in the finally..his family is there..

You might have head of Arnel Pineda, the frontman of the Journey band, who replaced Steve Perry (after at least two failed replacements) since 2008. He also lost his mother, but at a later age of 12, he ran away from home and lived on the streets much like the way Marcelito did. Someone recognized his singing ability and got him to join small gigs, an later on he realized that his singing prowess could take him out of poverty. He joined a group and lived so many years in Hong Kong and became famous there. Neal Schon saw videos uploaded (total of 60) by a friend of Arnel and Neal was blown away. The rest is history.

If you liked like me and millions of others also Marcelito Pomoy and Morissette Amon who have fantastic voices, then you will also love this unique and fantastic singer who is like my neighbor 20 min from my home... in the Netherlands , her story is not as strong as Marcelito who lived with her on the street, but she is also sad because she who had been singing since she was 7 years old stopped at all one day because she had become pregnant when she was 28 and had to give up the song because this man had abandoned him and she raised his son alone for 15 years, then one day the miracle happened his 15 year old son saw his mother cry every day and enrolled him in American's got talent where she finished 2nd but the audience award is 43 years old lol.. and since then she has been a hit everywhere she sings alone or with her group (Ladies Of Soul 4 super top singer too, of whom I would also put a video of the group on another link ok cool.. ) and this fantastic song she sang in an evening in front of 150,000 people in Tribute to Whitney Houston it was an incredible success and all the vocal coach say the same its crazy we would say that it came down from the sky and its reincarnated in it (Whitney is bach) wow wow wow .... beautiful vision on you will also loved like millions of people too .... Please react to British lady Sophie Drage of RU-vid channel Everyday TV singing a number of Tagalog OPM (Original Pilipino Music) songs. She's quite good. Her MTV of "Titibo-tibo" is a funny tongue-twister song and shows her neighborhood in Makati but she has other more melodic songs that go with her superb voice.
