It is nice and interesting intercultural interaction, also that you and husband have adopted the Latin greeting of cheek kissing . I have an Indian friend , I invited him for dinner once at my place , when he arrived my mother gave him a hug and he remained static like he was frozen, I explained later to my mom that in other countries physical contact as greeting is not as common like in Latin culture and she understood.
