I know, and it’s every bit hilarious . The get what they deserve for entertaining the idea of Watson , he was good his first couple of years in Houston. The last year he played the team was like 4-12 or some shit. Then he sat out the last year there. Then 2021 he had that 10 game suspension. Then 2022 he was injured played 6 games. 2023 injured played 6 games. In the last 3 years, Watson is worse than a rookie. He can’t read plays. Can’t throw the ball, can’t seem to run the ball. He looks lost out there with zero confidence. He’s got Cleveland by the balls and they can’t move off him without serious financial repercussions

They are fine at being gm. Its just that being frugal business men focused on spending the least amount while earning the most amount leads them to making some questionable decisions. They are deal hungry, always searching for the most premium on the biggest discount they can find. And while they like dak yes, the only reason why they give him the 60 million is because they know without him they wouldnt be as good until they found another. And not being good means less relevencey, meaning less profit or maybe even losses instead of gains. Thats the main reason why jerry eventually loses almost all of the these negotiations, hes afraid to be a dumpster fire. Its just unfortunate for some fans because if you want draft high enough for a chance at a possible gamechanger, you either need to trade away the farm and then some or your team needs to be a dumpster fire to get the pick. Meaning jerrys gotta make some kind of sizable sacrifice, which he simply wont do.

@@patrickleblanc613 everything you just said to make your point is true. However, those are the reasons I consider Jerry and his son, by proxy, to be bad GM’s. The money they intend to save they waste. And when they do save money they get cold feet on adding key pieces from outside the team whether it be free agency or the trade deadline to push them over the hump. Not to mention Jerry’s weird grudge he holds against coaches ever since Jimmy left. Really it goes back to before that having Al Davis as his mentor telling him that he needs to be domineering over the head coach and always reminding him who his boss is and who is really in charge. The Cowboys are marketing first and won’t win another till they go back to being football first. I just don’t believe that can happen with Jerry and his son at the top.
